Apparently Stuart Campbell and Jeff Hughes were crying at full time yesterday.
Conrad Logan, Danny Senda, JP Kalala, Gavin Williams and Hughes all said they'd sign contracts with us if they are offered.
Gavin Williams left the ground wearing his Rovers shirt.
Conrad Logan said he'll give me his gloves next Sunday if he wins the player of the season.

It seems as if the players want to fire us back into L1. I couldn't ask for more from them.

good luck with next season :) both times i have visited the memorial ground i have had a great time (it probably helped that we won 5-1 and 4-0) and i think you guys should hopefully get back up next season.

:@Well, what a suprise- Fallon was a shade onside. I just paused it on the FL Show, and you can see as Bolasie passes the ball, Fallon is level with the defender.

Sort it out FA... :@

It is with deep regret and sadness that I say goodbye to this thread.

I'd laugh if you got a points deduction now and ended up in the playoffs, and didn't win them.

I wouldn't.

Norwich/Cardiff/Swansea/Reading gonna beat you.

Billy's bottlers. ;)

You're right, we won't win the playoffs because we are Forest and therefore incapable of winning anything. Probably a fair thing to say.

However I will still hold my head up high - Norwich are essentially a third tier team, so we can beat them. Cardiff - we've beaten them twice this season. Reading will be a tough game. And Swansea - we can do them at home. Not sure about away.

SFC, you lucky ******! Getting them signatures is class, and I wish I got Lallana or Chamberlain on the back of my home shirt, but I ended up with nothing! :P Hopefully I can get a few sigs at Plymouth on Monday. If I knew what you looked like, I would give you a wave! Haha, hope we get 3 points and more or less secure our promotion, bar a 15-0 Huddersfield win... :D

if you want to get signatures then you ar most likely going to get them when they get off the coach, just stand in their way and thrust a pen and something to sign at then (it worked for me) the coach normally gets their at about 1-1:30.

Can't help but laugh at everyone who wrote us off after our slump!

I thought we'd struggle to make the playoffs after the blip in form, but always had that bit of hope in the back of my mind. So so so happy that its Leeds were beating to the 6th spot too. Obviously it'd be better if it was Derby, but they are so **** they can't even beat Bristol City at home.

It's pretty much in the bag. Leeds won't beat QPR by 5 and I don't think Palace will put that many past us. Boyd has hit form, so have the team at just the right time so I think we'll get something out of the Palace game now they are safe.

No better way to sign off the season than with a 5-1 thumping - the first one we've had in a while at home.

YOU REDS!!

Honestly I was one of those who wrote you off (think I posted it on here too). You had 2nd for the taking then lost form and then when we beat u 4-1 I thought that was it for you guys. But really credit where credit is due you guys deserve to be in there. You basically have it and you are the team I want to win the play offs. Don't really want Welsh teams in the EPL so don't want Cardiff or Swansea to go up, Norwich are already too big for their boots but you have to give them credit, they never give up and always get goals late on. Wouldn't mind Reading going up but think Forest deserve to be in the top flight. Hope you guys prove the doubters (Sid) wrong and win the play offs!

fair enough you guys have got promoted (unless it's robbed from you) but please stop acting like a cocky ****. thanks

Been to my fair share of away games this season, I that is the thing that most people seem to do that want signatures. The people who are more polite in how they go about it just get ingnored! :P

tbh some of the players ignored everyone and just walked on looking at the floor (butterfield, seabourne, jaidi, connolly) but some stopped and signed everything they where asked to (barnard, lambert, chamberlain, guly and schneiderlin).
It was quite nice to see the players interacting with the fans though, people where singing
"Lee Barnard, Barnard,
He's wanted at Scotland Yard"
which he found quite amusing, and I manged to make Schneiderlin look very confused by saying "merci" after he signed my programme :P

How can you create an atmopshere in a death-trap you call your away end? A few of our fans collapsed because they could hardly breath. I wouldn't expect that type of terracing in the Conference, nevermind a team coming close to the League One Playoffs.

And also, the ref and his officials were bias- And its happened against us ever since we've gone into Administration tbh. The linesman on my left, in the 2nd half, was just poor. As was the linesman in the 1st half- Offsides, Corners, Free-Kicks all given wrongly. And the cheek of playing 'We'll meet again' on your half-broken PA as we left the ground, just made my blood-boil. Your a tin-pot club, and always will be- Because one day we'll meet again, and we'll be flying back up the Football League...
thats the plan- we dont want away teams to create atmosphere :P but seriously we are trying to develop away end and old grandstand hence why we move pitch before season but we cant afford it yet as we wont go spending money we havent got unlike another club... and whats the point in making ground bigger, its already 8500 and thats plenty big enough as we normally get 5500. no point having a big stadium thats empty every week like you...
also you will need to get used to stadiums much worse than ours next year. btw whats wrong with playing 'we'll meet again' its a joke at you singing youll never play us again and its hardly something to make your 'blood boil' as its effectively saying we know youll be promoted back to our level in future :S and thats another promlem with your club - you will be like bradford in league 2 next year thinking your too good for that league when your just another small club who punched above their weight for a few years by cheating through spending money they couldnt afford!

Haha, don't worry, you could still win the play-offs as I think it's a lottery, any of the teams could win it and I don't see anyone as favourites. I disagree about Norwich though, they're much better than a third tier team and are the favourites to (hopefully) join us in the PL, Lambert's done a terrific job there.

How? They have the same team that came up from last year - bar a few average signings who have turned out to be gems for them, so you can essentially call them a third tier team purely on the basis that their side hasn't changed at all.

Suppose so, but they are very likely to go up.

Yeah definitely not trying to take anything away from them, themselves and Paul Lambert have done remarkably well. I'd like to see them beat Cardiff to automatic promotion - think we've got more chance of beating Cardiff haha!

DEFINATELY want them over Cardiff! Still not over 2003...

I struggle to see how we was punching above our weight for 6 years in the Championship. If Holloway stayed on as manager, and didn't leave for Leicester, he probably would have took us into the Premier League [He left us 4th in the Championship] The main problem we had, is that we didn't replace Holloway with someone as good as him- We brang in Sturrock, and then made the same mistake and appointed Paul Mariner. They are both club legends, but not Championship Standard Managers.

And, you jibe at us being a small club, but your average attendance is the same size as our smallest crowd in about 11 years? Which is why your a tin-pot club. 'Capital' of Devon, but you can't drag 6000 through your gates, after 5 years of improvement. If Tisdale leaves along with Harley, you'll be screwed. You won't be able to replace him with a high standard manager, and you will be in League 2. The attendances will drop to about 3k, the money will dry-up and well look at Exeter back in Administration again. Then we'll see who's players and fans have the most spirit.

And as for spending money we didn't have, its a business plan- You pay your bills and creditors through attendances. When we started in the Championship we had 16k average gates, but that turned to about 12k by about 2009. At which point, the New World gambled on a World Cup Bid which failed, and had no Plan B- And our tails were stuck up our arses. So we didn't 'cheat' because as I stated in the previous paragraph, you could be in administration for a 3rd time soon.

The chants of 'Championship, and you ****** it up' made me laugh, because I don't remember seeing you in the Championship? Enjoy your year in a league above us, because we'll be back, and we'll be playing old Vera Lynn too you.

And also... When's the open-bus tour for your first win against us in the league, in 20 attempts? ;) Enjoy it Tin-Pots.

Exeter ant home on final day, will be a great atmosphere, they hammered us 5-1 at their ground but i think now our team has momentum and confidence i think we could grab the three points. Oh and i have been hearing we are interested in Harley from Exeter is he any good ?

My prediction is ;

Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Exeter - Mellor, Miller - Cureton

(We'll do it for you Giggles!)

Harley's over-rated imo [All though that may be bias from me]

He's clearly rated from Tisdale and Exeter Fans, but played his final home game yesterday as he's moving to Swansea in the summer. Good passer of the ball, scores a few goals- A General Threat from Midfield. His corners were poor yesterday, cleared from the first-man.

I'm interested to see how Exeter cope without Harley, they might end up releying on the ageing Jamie Cureton...

Oh well ahaa, we wont miss him . Cureton is good but not good enough to carry a team on his shoulders and i could see Exeter struggling next year.

We (SWFC) have been linked with Benni McCarthy also and i feel he would be the same as Cureton ..

Bristol Rovers 17-0 Colchester

WE WILL STAY UP
