have u guys seen the roumers website Here:Football Transfer Rumours Football News one on there about Yeovil going into administration, what bollocks we are one of the only clubs on league 1 who turn a profit! absolute bullsh*t

Just a question, how do you turn a profit? You have an average gate of 4k.. and seems some of your fans bang on about the forum being a bigger club than us. Deary me.

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Rob Jones and David Prutton ? on two year deals

And by the way, in todays Herald, assuming its true- The Football League want to know the new owners. Of course they have some divine right above all the fans, players, management and even Ridsdale and the Administrator aren't fully sure. They've just met representives.

The preferred bidders have payed upto a Million Pounds for Exclusivity until June 14th, maybe the Football League should be patient, instead of threatning us with more points deduction. It looks like them and the HMRC want to make a big example of us..

well we havent paid money for a player since like 2000 so that helps and we rely on loans so most of the wages are paid by parent clubs

It's not to hard to turn a small profit if the club's run correctly.

And RE:Argyle, I think that the Football League deserve to know who the new owners are, as should the fans the player, Riddler, and anyone. And I hardly think that anyone's being made an example of exactly, I think that the club's being punished for trading illegally, and quite rightly too. At the moment, with Argyle not paying HMRC or the Devon and Cornwall police fully, then they are ripping off the tax payer.

But we can't play anyone fully because we are in Administration. Thats the whole Administration process, for every football team. At the end of the day our creditors [D&C Police etc] agreed to 0.77p in every pound we owe them- Meaning they are satisified enough with our administration, so we cannot be 'ripping off' the tax-payer.

And personally, I don't want to know the new owners until June 14th. Because they are protecting themselves from a media backlash, and all that. Everything will come out in time, the Football League have to be patient. Guilfoyle's done it with 4/5 other clubs before, we are in very safe hands, because if this proposed deal falls through James Brent is prepared to save us.

So it looks like the Riddler could get the football, and your investors only want the property

Never a good idea splitting up the club and it's property, Oxford had/have a lot of trouble IIRC.

Out of interest, how did ridsdale make his money? He's taken two teams to the *******, but must have had a bit of money to elbow his way in their in the first place?

Oh dear.

From how I've percieved the news on Spotlight today, I understand that..

- An Irish Consortium will buy off the clubs debts, however the peoples involved in the Cosortium will not be known until June 14th; However, they have had previous interest in football but not with Plymouth Argyle.

- The Consortium are not interested in the football side of things however, they are seeking development oppurtunitys at Home Park

- Peter Ridsdale will buy the football side of the club, giving him the day to day running of the club and control of the manager/players and all that jazz. Yes.. That Peter Ridsdale.. Scary! :O

Bit of news from the Evening Gazette (Local north east paper-Boro paper tbh <3),

Abdoulaye Meite will drive up to the Riverside to hold talks with ex boss Tony Mowbray over the coming week about joining the Boro, also there is the inevitable speculation about the other West Brom CB Zuiverloon but he would probably want ridiculous wages.

Still I would welcome either to add a bit of stern to the back four, Chris Burke is also to hold talks with several Championship clubs and the EG are reporting that Boro are amongst those involved in those discussions.

Looks like another busy summer, just hope we don't sign any more SPL rubbish (Unless its Goodwillie)

We are releying on money from our fans- IE- Matchday Attendances/Sales. Thats about it.

Its a risky game, it could go down the plughole and a massive lock could be on the gates of Home Park at the sniff of one late payment. If it saves the club from the Zamaretto League, I'm happy. But a man who will be owner of this club, is due in court next month on Fraud Charges. Will that please the football league? All I know is, Guilfoyle has well and truly led us down the garden path!

I think the best hope you've got is either the Riddler declining (don't think it's set in stone yet) or him going down for the fraud charges badly, and just hope that your supporters trust can get their act together and negotiiate some sort of deal with the Irish. In either case, things are going to get worse before they get better, but if you do live within your means this time, you could come out of this smiling.

Its nothing to do with our supporters trust. Its down to the administrator to get the best deal for us- He's had a good amount of offers, he's seen this one as the best for the club. Why would Ridsdale tell us all about him becoming the owner and then pull out? I can see your tinted views on here, just because we are Plymouth Argyle doesn't mean we have 2 options- Bad and Bad.

Things can't really get much worse, before getting better. How much worse can we get? The stadium burning down and we have to ground share with you...

I'd much rather have Ridsdale in League 2 than a Phoenix Club in the Zameratto League- Lets keep our history, our passion and our loyal fan-base.

Resurgam

Guillefoyle would have had nothing to do with Ridsdale in this part of the deal, it's up to the Irish who they want in, as they're the ones paying the debt, as long as that's done the administrator couldn't care less, so theoretically the consortium could turn arround and say that they want the trust to run it. Won't happen of course, your trust is falling apart quicker than it's being built. So you lucky bastards get to stumble around with somone who couldnt give a toss about the club, and who has already put two clubs into a combined 130 million pound debt, maybe he's aiming for a nice round 150? Goodluck with that.

When I seen this post, I laughed. I forgot how Exeter City are the perfect model of every football club. Spending a good 5 years in the Non-League, taking a lucky back-to-back promotion with a manager who will be leaving soon on a team based around a player who has now left.

Of course Guilfoyle has something to do with this- He's the administrator. He picked the Irish Group as his preffered bidder, and let Ridsdale stay as Acting Chairman and give him a list of things to do. And how can our trust be falling apart? Its been around for what.. 2/3 months? The chairman resigned due to work issues, nothing more. If the Irish didn't give a toss about the club why did they make a bid? "Ah yes, this looks nice. -Pay 1 Million Pounds for exclusivity.. not like we give 2 *****!"

Ridsdale hasn't even been confirmed as owner yet and you Exeter fans are already talking about us being Hundreds of Millions in debt, him being **** etc. He has a poor track record, he has a good chance of redemption. Give the man a chance before you tools up the A38 start harking on about the 1st season in your 106 year history you will be above us.

Scunny 5th favourites to win league 1?? I would take top 12 in all honesty.

Why the **** have we let Rob Jones leave on a free. We could have got at least £50 for him.

Also rumours Adam Le Fondre is on his way to Glanny Park :D

Danny Wilson WTF!!!!

I like most Blades are totally opposed to this appointment but what can you do when the chairman is a f**k up. Replacing a 100% Blade with a 100% non blade

But on the other hand do we really need these morons.

Yer agree with you superbladesman. To me (as an outsider) it seems a "cheap option" in the sense that no compensation has to be paid but whoever your manager is you should still go up.

Why so upset, swear Wilson did a good job with Swindon? :S
