Congrates to Swansea athough I still don't believe in having a Welsh club in the English Premier League but meh only my opinion. Great game of football though.

Behave. So if they lost, would you be saying that they should get kicked out of the English football league?

Did not think so.

It's not actually called the English Premier League, just the Premier League and its nationalities are listed as English and Welsh, anyway they've been in the football league for ages and they've been in the top flight before just not in the 'Premier League' as it only started in 1992. AND just to add on, them and Cardiff were both part of the 'English' football league system before a lot of clubs.

:)

2011 Play Off Winners:

SWANSEA AFC (CHAMPIONSHIP)

PETERBOROUGH (LEAGUE 1 )

STEVENAGE FC (LEAGUE 2)

Yeah they have been in the championship for years and I haven't agreed with that, again just like I said it's my opinion so if you don't agree then thats your choice

In August 2009 Stevenage started their season in the Conference as Plymouth Argyle played teams like Newcastle in the Championship. Now in August 2011, Stevenage will be in League One as Argyle [Unless they are liquidated] will start in League 2.

How the mighty have fallen...

Congratulations to all Swansea fans that read this. Deserved it after our woeful performance in the first half. Great fans, good style of football.

Enjoyed my day out to Wembley, We're just happy to be there tbh!

Good to see some support for Welsh in the Prem, i made a thread about this before

When the football league started it had english teams and ALL the welsh teams before the WFA became all arrogant and decided they need their own league - the WPL. However, Swansea, Cardiff, Wrexham, Newport, Merther Tydfil and Colwyn Bay decided to stay in the football league

So really it has never been the English Football League

Im not going to say im delighted Swansea are up because im not but im glad theres Welsh representation, hopefully soon there will be two welsh teams

Rumours swirling that Martin O'Neill is to be Cardiff manager and has held talks in Malaysia

Fans choice seems to be O'Neill, Di Matteo and Tisdale at Exeter - mainly for his hats

We do not want Boothroyd, Billy Davies or Strachan

And Bellamy as player-manager is a joke

I think O'Neill is holding out for a high/mid table premier league team so I don't think he would go to Cardiff IMHO.

this tweet made me lol

And the final whistle blew...
@MirrorFootball This is really going to confuse people who call it the EPL. Congratulations Swansea.

so true

Im hoping - even though it is Swansea - this will stop the few people who dont agree a welsh team should be in the prem or fl from being total prats

Well, you lot should be expecting some Blues fans in here soon, so any blues fans in here - hahahahahaaa!

i'm not one of them. :)
Seen they have been thier(english leagues) since 1914 so they have as much a right to be there as Reading and Forest have. Hope they do well also as they play great football (like us) and win stuff (not like us ;))

I know, i wasnt trying to imply you were, a few weeks ago i made a thread on the topic just to get some points across because people who can't seem to accept Cardiff and Swansea deserve to be where they are because of where they lie geographically really grates me

Yeah, ignore that, bit of a joke, i hear Tisdale is becoming a favourite

Its hard work waiting for a manager, weve not had this for a while

With Buckle leaving Torquay and Tidsdale set to leave Exeter, that would be a dream for me. Tidsdale's a very good manager, talented and has potential. Deserves a shot at a bigger club. Lets see what Luke & Mole have to say about this..

I would welcome Tisdale down Cardiff - mainly for his hats - but i feel Cardiff could do with a fresh young manager with a new approach and a chance to rebuild the team
