role for Center Midfielder

Thanks for a great tactic!

Is it important that one of the Center Midfielder is RPM? I play in the lower leagues and very few players are good RPMs...
WIll it work if I change that role to a role that fits my players better? In that case, which role?

Very nice, It works, not as you said, I don`t win all the time but it is decent and nice.

I think this is one of the most underrated tactics in this forum. Surprised that is not having a greater impact on the FM community. Great results in my testing, for a plain old tradicional 4-2-4. I think I'm going to start a new save with this, and will report back. Great tactic!

sometimes it takes someone with credibility to test it like yourself

Ok, here it goes. Started a save with swedish team Sirius, predicted 12th out of 16. Short on money, I just signed 4 players on free transfer. Pretty much dominating every single match with this tactic, with very attractive, overwhelming football, with goals being scored mainly by the 2 strikers, usually from crosses. A fantastic "normal" tactic you got here, congrats. :) Will report back at the end of the season.

would changing the strikers roles impact this much?

I can't seem to get much out of my strikers as DLF

Could you test with a team in italy like sampdoria/sassuolo please? Most of 4 line tactics simply stop working in Serie A

after you wrote this i decided to test this tactic although i don't test tactics made with Real Madrid, Barcelona and teams/first eleven like PowerofTactic has
IMHO below average, there are far better tactics on this forum (beside 3 striker formations)

Superb

Switched part way through the season. 13 wins and 2 draws from 15 games.
 
Gateshead update

13 games played in the vanarama national in England, 12 wins 1 draw, with a lot of players only halfway happy in the roles, the RPM is no where near but is playing well, this was done with a combo of free transfers, loans and one signing. This tactic is very underrated, some of the results were sneaked wins, but several were great victories where we played fantastic football.

Going to give this a go tonight. Would IFs work instead of wingers? Any other striker roles that might work also?

This is a good question since in the OP there's Zivkovic left footed on the right and Lozano right footed on the left
 
Things are going well

ok so 24 games unbeaten including an 8-0 against Walsall in the FA cup, the only change I make is if we are creating chances but not getting them on target I add the work into box TI, but other than that I leave it untouched,
