Its all change at Bilbao, possibly controversially as I sold several first team squad members. I felt that we werent going to get to the level that I envisioned with the players that I had so I acted!!!!

Should probably start with the departures! lol. Anyway it was all regens for much cheapness on the whole. One player however will go straight into the first team squad though and that is Isidro Bonilla. I pinched the 16y/o from Real Madrid for £1.3m and I think he will be a superstar in the future with the right training.

I paid £3.5m for a 16y/o striker off of Villarreal called Juan Flor and he will start in the u19s while I paid £3m to Lyon for French striker Yves-Marie Vallee (beginning to think its a girl) and he will be in the B team.

Plenty more to add to that! Oier Olazabal went to Real Madrid for £190K and I sold young left back Ivan Sosa for £300K and Santiago for £250K. Also I loaned out a couple of players for fees as well as loads for free. Players out on loan to the top division are Vicent, Torres, Munoz and Martorell.

So why the departures? Well I knew I had 2 CMs coming through who needed a chance so I needed to make room. Benat was sold as he was nearing 30 and was no longer first choice due to the form of Vazquez. Illarramendi was sold slightly cheaply but he was the poorest of my CMs and was on a high wage. Because of Bonilla and Ortega I felt I could manage without Ruiz de Galarreta and Ibai Gomez wanted to leave but nobody wanted to buy him!

As for Susaeta I wasnt planning on selling him but I couldnt agree a contract with him as I felt he was asking for far too much for a short term contract and with Ortega coming through I just decided to get rid!

TOTAL INCOME: £48m

I have brought back Eneko Artola and Felix Hoz from their loan spells at Mallorca and Villarreal. Artola top scored for Mallorca and Hoz is a wonderkid so they will replace Benat and Illarramendi...

Bonilla will replace Ruiz de Galarreta in the squad while Oscar De Marcos may be my backup RB again (replacing Iraola) but also possibly my backup RW! I have promoted Ortega to the first team squad and he will start out as my new RW.....

Other than that its just the same! lol. Hopefully I will give Enrique Bucci a few games at RB during the season as well as a couple of others in the u19s but we shall see! Ibon Bueno has joined Reverte, Bernal, Vazquez, Prieto and Hoz in being classed as a wonderkid by the way.

In my FM12 save with Bilbao I did it a further 2 years down the line when I sold Herrera and Javi Martinez for big bucks. The thing is I even considered selling De Marcos and Monreal too!

Now though the big transfer fees are no more. I doubt I will spend £20m in a season now and I expect to take that in with transfer fees at least. With Bilbao that happens at some point as the Basques just arent out there to sign so the club just gets richer and richer.

Its all about youth development now!!!!!!!!!!!!

AUGUST

A quiet month but it was a month in which we won another trophy so that aint bad! The trophy was the Spanish Super Cup as we beat Real Madrid 4-2 on aggregate. Other than that it has been pretty quiet. I paid £500k for a 20y/o forward from Real Madrid but he will go straight to the B side. He is just there to add a bit of depth to their squad.

In the Champions League we have been drawn against Shakhtar Donetsk, Ajax and Dinamo - methinks the youngsters will get plenty of games there!

We were awful here and should have conceded 5 or 6 - they had 17 shots to our 4. They had a goal disallowed when they were a goal up but we got level before half-time. They went back in front but substitute Ibon Bueno levelled for us 4min from the end.
