Yeovil Town's veteran left back and assistant manager has not been offered a new contract and has left the club. Current Yeovil manager Daniel Jameson declined to comment on the matter but many fans believe that Nathan Jones' departure was an inevitability. Three other players have also been released by Yeovil, along with Nathan Jones. Youngster Aiden Downes wasnt in Jameson's plans for the season and striker Sam William's who went out on loan to Stevenage last season for 6 months. Thirty six year old winger Scott Murray has also been realsed on a free, however some of the Glover's fans view as this an abbrition and are voicing their displeasure, stating that they felt Murray still had some years let in him despite his age.

Wow, letting your Assistant Manager go was an odd move there, I wonder who you're gonna look to bring in to the squad.

Still following this story, it's kept me entertained so far from the beginning. Try and get some top opponents for your pre-season matches if you can.

Yeovil Sign Premiership Veteran

Yeovil chairman John Fry was delighted to accounce the signing of ex-Birmingham City player Lee Carsley. Fry was delighted that Jameson managed to persuade Carsley to join the Yeovil squad on a fee. Yeovil fan favourite Tony Pennock has described this as a wonderful signing for the club and this view is shared by the Yeovil fans themselves.

Stoian was released by AS Roma and Jameson was delighted to snap him up. In the press conference afterwards, Jameson stated that due to Stoian's inability to speak English he is defineately one for the future.

Dare To Sign...

Dare Vrsic has signed for Yeovil Town today. Tony Pennock and Terry Skiverton have both described this as maybe the biggest signing ever for Yeovil. Vrsic has been capped by his country 8 times and has scored twice. This signing delighted the Yeovil fans, whats more, Jameson managed to snap Vrsic up for free. He was out of contract with his former club FC Timisoara.

Jameson With More Free Transfers

It has been confirmed that Jody Morris has signed for Yeovil Town. Jameson said he was pleased to welcome a player of Morris' calibre to the club. Jody Morris was out of contract after St Johstone's had not renewed his contract. Yeovil fans were sceptical of this signing as Morris has a firey tempermant which may back fire or cause unrest amongst the Yeovil players and staff.

Yeovil Snap Up Nicholson

Yeovil boss Daniel Jameson has managed to pick up another free transfer. Scotsman Barry Nicholson, formerly of Preston North End has signed on the dotted line for Yeovil Town. Interest in Nicholson was high after he was released from his club, but its appears that Jameson had tempted him enough to sign up.

great story so far. I look forward to reading further :D

Heath On Loan With Glovers

Jameson has got Nottingham Forest's, Joe Heath on a season long loan. Since Nathan Jones' departure from Yeovil the squad has been short of first team left backs. This season long loan looks to remedy that situation.

Douala Signs For The Bantam's

Yeovil have confirmed the transfer of winger Rudolph Douala to Bradford City for a fee of 170k. Jameson was sad to see Douala go however he stated the the offer was too good to turn down. When asked if he would use the money for any more transfers, Jameson responded saying that he would like to explore those avenues.

Yeovil Sign Journeyman Striker

Brighton's Nicky Forster has signed for Yeovil for a fee of 20k. Jameson was delighted to welcome Forster to the club. Forster had been placed on the transfer list after Brighton's promotion last season despite netting 27 goals.

PRE-SEASON RESULTS

Yeovil Town 0 - 1 Yeovil Town Reserves
Levet
Well... I didnt think it was possible to lose to your own reserves team but hey oh. Maybe the only excuse was that the players were all quite tired back from holiday. Cieran Levet was the scorer for the reserves, tucking away a header in the second half.
MotM - Cieran Levet

Yeovil Town 8 - 0 Welling Utd
Welsh, Forbes, Stam, Serhat, Mensing, Bowditch (3)
What a spanking that is! The gulf in quality was obvious but the whole team played well and Welling only got one shot off in the eintire match. Bowditch was absolutely deadly too getting 3 goals and 3 assists.
MotM - Dean Bowditch

Yeovil Town 0 - 3 Man City
Tevez, Wright-Phillips, Johnstone
Oh well what can you expect. Michael Johnstone's goal was a blinder! Curling it from 25 yards around Parish into the top corner. Seck and Forbes did very well restricting Tevez up front too.
MotM - Michael Johnstone

Yeovil Town 2 - 2 Liverpool
Serhat, Douala - Kyrgiakos, van Nistlerooy
If you ever needed proof that Yeovil are better going forward than this match is it! 0-2 down with 75 minutes played, we went for it and managed to equalize through a wonderful Douala strike which the Liverpool substitue keeper had no chance of getting.
MotM - Sotiris Kyrgiakos

Yeovil Town 7 - 0 FC United
Pericard (3), Vrsic (2), Morris, Mensing
Another spanking for lower league opposition. Vrsic looks awesome! 2 goals and 4 assists! Outstanding! His long shots also look like they can do some realy damage!
MotM - Vincent Pericard

Stevenage 1 - 5 Yeovil Town
Mason - Morris, Pericard, Serhat, Stoian (2)
A change of formation today. Played with a 4-3-1-2 and I think I might stick with it considering it brings the best out of both Vrsic and Stoian. Stevenage were contenders for promotion toleague 2 last season so this was a poor result for them, despite only being a friendly.
MotM - Adrian Stoian

Partick Thistle 1 - 2 Yeovil Town
Twaddle - Pericard, Vrsic
Vrsic is an out and out number 10. He bossed the midfield getting a goal and an assist. Pericard is definetly our main striker, he's been prolific. Hopefully this confidence boost of getting goals will carry into the season.
MotM - Dare Vrsic

Scunthorpe Utd 1 - 2 Yeovil Town
Hooper - Pericard, Arrieta
Pericard scoring yet again and Arrieta belting home a free kick for the win. We dominated them all game which is a good sign consider Scunny have just been relegated and we will play them in the league.
MotM - Vincent Pericard

RochdaleCrest1.gif

Yeovil Town 4 - 1 Rochdale
Mensing, Seck, Vrsic (Pen), Pericard - Kennedy (Pen)
A solid win, good for the start of the season. Rochdale took the lead after converting a penalty early on, but after Serhat set up Mensing's thunderous strike we didnt look back. Dare Vrsic was very involved getting a goal and an assist on his debut, a good contribution for the number ten. Pericard reopened his account after Vrsic's beautiful through pass and Seck poked home the final goal after Forbes' header was stopped on the line.
MotM - Mamadou Seck - 8.1

dagenham-redbridge-fc.png

Yeovil Town 2 - 2 Dagenham & Redbridge
Seck, Nicholson - Arber
(2)(Pen, Pen)
Dagenham & Rebridge win 3-5 on penalties
Cruising... We were cruising... I even had Carsley and Stoian on for a run out after their return from injury and from no where the refree gives the Daggers two penalties in 10 minutes. Pericard gave away the first which was a stonewall penatly but the second was extremely soft! Very disappointed with this result.
MotM - Mark Arber - 8.9

0,,10794%7E3735096,00.gif

Wycombe Wanderers 1 - 7 Yeovil Town
Beavon - Serhat (4), Pericard (2), Mensing
Ooooo what a spanking! Serhat was a ninja assassin in front of goal today getting 4 goals and 2 assists, whata contribution from the Turk! Good to also see Pericard and Mensing getting more goals after scoring in thier last league game. Wycombe were woeful! Mistakes everywhere, miskicks and fresh air shots everywhere which were swiftly punished. Beavon's goal was amazing though smashing it high and hard before hitting the post and going in. Wycombe are not cut out for League 1 football!
MotM - Serhat - 9.7

Charlton%20Athletic.png

Yeovil Town 2 - 1 Charlton
Pericard, Serhat - Deble
Charlton were favourites to win but we battled hard and got our reward. Pericard scored first before Deble got free at the back post. Serhat scored the winner, a wonderful goal, picking up Vrisic's through ball, skinning both centre backs a passing the ball into the net. Definetly a goal of the month contender.
MotM - Serhat - 7.9

leeds.jpg

Leeds 3 - 0 Yeovil Town
Nisnorbo, Mulgrew, Kebe
Very poor. Simon Mensing and Mamadou Seck were especially poor. We will want to move on from the game very quickly. Charlie Mulgrew rubbed it in, in the 80th minute. Blasting home a great free kick. Elliot Parish was outstanding in goal to strict Leeds to just 3!
MotM - Jimmy Kebe - 7.5

Colchester%20United.png

Yeovil Town 3 - 1 Colchester
Vrsic, Pericard, Forster - Hackney
Vrsic getting his second goal for Yeovil and what a goal it was! A thunderous 30 yard cracker which flew into the top corner. If that isnt the goal of the month Ill eat my own foot! Pericard on the score sheet again, taking his tally to 5 so far. Forster got a debut goal after being on the pitch for only 10 minutes due to his lack of match practice. But that certainly didnt show a towering header for an only 5"8 man.
MotM - Vincent Pericard - 7.9

Oxford Utd 1 - 3 Yeovil Town
Contstable - Serhat, Pericard, Forster
A good win over lower league opposition to progress to the next round. Elliot Parish was great in goal pulling off some fantastic saves. Serhat was good once again scoring and playing a part in Pericard's goal. Forster came on in the 80th replacing Serhat and managed to grab himself a goal nearly as soon as he stepped onto the pitch.
MotM - Serhat - 7.8

brentfordlogo.gif

Brentford 0 - 3 Yeovil Town
Pericard (3) (pen)
A solid win on the road and a good clean sheet for Parish. Pericard was fantastic today and sealed his hat trick with a penatly after being bundled over in the box. Terrell Forbes was a rock in defence and Nathan Smith particularly impressed getting 2 assists and being good in defence.
MotM - Vincent Pericard - 9.3

Brizzle-Badge.gif

Bristol Rovers 0 - 2 Yeovil Town
Terrell Forbes (2) (Missed pen)
A good win on the road against the enemy. Terrell Forbes nearly sealed a hat trick after netting once from a corner and then again heading home a free kick. He demanded to take the penatly but ended up hitting the crossbar, such a shame. That would have been brilliant having a central defender getting a hat trick! Nathan Smith again looked very dangerous going forward. His pace a dribbling skills makes him dangerous in the wide areas.
MotM - Terrell Forbes - 8.5

Notts_county_crest.png

Yeovil Town 0 - 0 Notts County
A very tight fixture. Notts County's Hawley was very threatening and looked dangerous all game, but the Yeovil back line held firm. Going forward however was a different story, we were very poor. Forster in particular and Serhat both disappointed. Proof that maybe without Pericard Yeovil are quite toothless? Pericard is out for two weeks with a back strain.
MotM - Dorian Dervite - 7.5

carlisle_united_logo.jpg

Carlisle 0 - 3 Yeovil Town
Serhat (2), Bowditch
Another good win on the road. Our away form has really picked up since last season. Again Forbes and Smith were great, Arrieta had a good game too. But Bowditch and Serhat were the stand out players they worked really well together. Bowditch twice assisted Serhat, before Serhat returned the favour to set up Bowditch for the final goal. Maybe not so toothless without Pericard after all? On a side note Elliot Parish hasnt conceed in 4 matches! Thats 340 minutes of football!
MotM - Serhat - 8.5

Yeovil Town 1 - 1 Rotherham Utd
Bowditch - Pope
Newly promoted Rotherham gave us a run of our money today equalising late on and pushed for the win. They would have been delighted to get a point off of us in any circumstances. Hopefully we havent sacrificed our fantastic home record last season for a good away record this season.
MotM - Tom Pope - 7.5

256px-Scunthorpe_United_Logo.png

Scunthorpe 1 - 1 Yeovil Town
Hayes - Kennedy
A good point on the road. John Kennedy scoring his first for Yeovil heading home a Vrsic corner to equalize an earn and add to Yeovil's unbeaten run. Simon Mensing really lead from the front today driving the team on by tackling hard in midfield and running forward with real purpose.
MotM - John Kennedy - 7.7

0,,10445%7E6913659,00.jpg

Millwall%20FC.png

Yeovil Town 2 - 1 Millwall
Forster (2) - Kyriakou
Kyrialou opened the scoring for the Lion's scoring early on in the match from a break away, solo run. Bowditch was replaced at half time and Nicky Forster showed him how its done scorign twice and was only denied his hat trick through great saves from the Millwall keeper.
MotM - Nicky Forster - 8.4

Leicester-City-icon.png

Yeovil Town 1 - 0 Leicester City
Serhat
What a great win over a heavily favoured Leicester. Serhat with the only goal of the game poking home an Arrieta cross. Leicester looked pretty toothless all over the pitch and the Yeovil rear guard were unbeatable, they were fantastic all getting ratings of about 7.5.
MotM - Cristain Arrieta - 7.6

0,,10421%7E6048925,00.jpg

Leyton Orient 1 - 0 Yeovil Town
Zoko
Bye bye unbeaten run! We were poor all over the pitch only the two full backs had a performance of any note. Francois Zoko was outstanding he was dangerous all match and Parish was called into action many times. The yeam will want to put this performance behind them very quickly.
MotM - Francois Zoko - 8.0

Stockportcounty.gif

Yeovil Town 3 - 1 Stockport County
Serhat, Pericard, Forbes - Djurdevic
Back to winning ways and with Pericard back from injury, we looked like we had much more to offer up front. A much better perfomance all round than last the last game at Leyton. Ivan Djurdevic scored a scrappy consolation goal late on to deny Parish a clean sheet which was a shame because we dominated them all game.
MotM - Terrell Forbes - 8.2

i'm also playing as yeovil, got to the championship and i also have pericard (he's amazing in league 1)

john fry annoyed me by selling stam behind my back.

hope you can get the team to the championship.

hey i'm managing yeovil too and have pericard he is not performing for me how are you guys playing him?

when i was in league 1 i played him as a target man (attack) in a 4-4-2.

i'm now in the championship and he barely plays for me as i now have jason roberts playing in that role
