Pre Season Update

The club played a total of 6 pre season friendlies in the last two months. We only ended up getting beat once by Man Utd and also got a good draw against Liverpool. Below are the fixtures and goal scorers from the friendly games.

I am pleased with our efforts during pre season and am confident that we are well prepared for the premier league opener.

Boyd impressed during pre season

we have been handed the toughest of start to our Premier League life with an away trip to Anfield. We then go to Craven Cottage which is followed by our first Premier League home game against Bolton.

Loving the story btw.
Just wondering, where did you get these badges from at the bottom of this post.

I bet you're pleased at six points for this month mate. Home wins are vital so you're doing just fine by my reckoning. I must say, Goal of the Month finishing with 'Take a bow son' did make me laugh. Keep up the fine work.

Cheers for following. Em i got them of the David Beckham story. I asked him where he got his an he told me he got them from the logo pack he downloaded. hope that helps

The logo's are Silky Sideways, type that in in the search bar and you should find them :). On topic though, this is still a great story, I hope you keep this up :)

Yeah hopefully he can stay fit and hopefully he will continue to score. N'Zogbia has been quality I needed an attacking left back for the new tactic and he fitted the bill perfectly. What team where you?

Leeds. Your doing fine. Can you check out my story. I 'm losing my motivation. As long as you get 38 points you know your safe

Cheers for following guys makes it easier to keep it going knowing people are interested :D

Hopefully get an update done 2mro for those following!

November Update

Soccer+-+Barclays+Premier+League+-+Manchester+City+v+Arsenal+-+City+of+Manchester+Stadium.jpeg

We started the month of November with two of the hardest games of the season with matches against Man City and Chelsea. We then have a home game with Blackburn followed by a trip to the south coast to play Pompey

picture.php

We as predicted lost two the two big guns but with two different performances. Against City we played really well and battle hard but two Adyebayor goals killed us off. However against Chelsea we got steam rolled big time.

Then came the two games we needed to get points from and we responded in great fashion. We first beat Blackburn in an even game and then spanked Portsmouth away to record our first away win :D

Our six points this month has seen us climb up to 13th in the league on 17 points 5 points clear of the drop zone.

There was really only one candidate for Player of the Month in November. The award goes to young Albania striker Edgar Cani who scored three great goals this month.

Player of the Month

We scored six goals in four games in November and this was an improvement to what we usually had been scoring. There was again only one candidate for Goal of the Month as N'Zogbia hit an absolute bullet of a free kick against Portsmouth when most thought he was going to cross.

We played well in three of the four games this month but the display down on the south coast against Pompey to record our first away win really stands out and wins the Performance of the Month award.

Overall we can be pleased with our performances this month. We managed to pick up six points which and our first away win which was pleasing. However I am disappointed at who much respect we showed Chelsea. Next Month five league fixtures over the busy Christmas period. Our games our against Sheff Utd, Villa, Stoke, Arsenal and Liverpool. We will be hoping to keep up our good form and pick up around seven points.

Well done mate. Stoke are a side I always struggle against. I bet you were fuming when he started shooting

Your doig very well.
I give it three years until your European Champions :D
New lay-out is nice as well.
This is still one of the best stories on the site.
Keep up the goood work mate.

December and January Update

Bristol+City+v+Cardiff+City+UXwNawqmMVul.jpg

I played on a bit in the game so I will now update for two months. We had a lot of fixtures in the last two months with some very tough games.

picture.php

After three great home wins we lost our way slightly and have not recorded a win in seven Premier League games and only picking up one draw. On a better note we are also through to the fifth round of the FA cup where we will play Burnley.

The club also had a very quiet transfer window with only one player coming to the club and no one leaving. The addition to the club was Czech Rep striker Michal Papadopoulos who joined from Heerenveen for 1.1 Million.

(Sorry for the short update just wanting to catch up with the game :D)

I managed to play out the reminder of the season today and will now let all the follower know how the season finished.

February, March, April and May Update

We played out a lot of fixtures in the closing half of the season. In my last update we where sitting comfortably above the relegation battle.

picture.php

As you can see we didn't have a great finish to the season picking up 14 points from 13 games. However this was enough to comfortably see us finish 12th in the Premiership which is a great achievement :D

View attachment 99598

We played some great stuff throughout the season and where never in a relegation battle like the media prediction of 19th suggested. Edgar Cnai was great a great free transfer and scored 16 goals which made him our top scorer. Jamie O Hara was superb through the middle and Nicky Maynard played well and was a threat to every team. However the player of the season award goes to Burdisso who was a rock at the back and his great season has seen him been linked with moves to both Milan clubs.

I have decided that I am not going to continue with this story as I was losing interest in it towards the end and I was wanting to play my other save which I am enjoying and shall be doing my last ever FM10 story on later :D

I would like to thank all those that followed me through out the story and hope you will follow my next story which will be one I had previously went to start but had to close due to the story limits. I also hope that everyone enjoyed this half as much as I enjoyed writing it.

If a Mod reads this could they please close this thread :'(
