Lucio, former Inter CB, is set to have is medical at Juve, while Udinese duo Isla and Asamoah both officially arrive at Juve. All Juve needs now is a real #9

Van Persie is their main target.

I've been impressed with Roma's dealings in the Transfer Market . They have signed Dodo, Leandro Castan and seem to be strongly interested in Michael Bradley . ( What a season he had! ) Their defence was not that great this season in my opinion but hopefully these signings can solve the problem .

What club(s) has/have impressed you all so far?

Juve signing Lucio. Another Pirlo type buy imo, if they get RVP as well then I expect them to be challenging for the CL next season.

i doubt Lucio will play a lot next season. great defend, but he's already old. seems more like a back up buy to add more squad depth.

Meh, Lucio will not be Pirlo type transfer. He is a good back up tough, having in mind Juve lack defenders. I hope they do not buy RVP, this guy is not good for the Italian football and will probably make a season as good as Forlan did. Juve need Cavani type of player of Cavani himself. They got Vucinic already that can drop deep and spread the play.

I am not impressed by Roma's transfer. Bradley, although he had a good season, he was a marketing buy, as Roma are going for a tour in USA, signed a sponsorship contract with Disney and their owners are comming from America. Dodo is good, but I think he is not different that Jose Angel, the same type of player. I have not seen much of Castan. The team desperatly needs quality RB and 2 CDs and they need to spend money there. Bosingwa is not a good first team player, Astori is still on the market and we are buying players we do not need actually. It is not that Bradley will play instead of Totti, Lamela or Pjanic.

Astori is beyond almost every italian club. Russians already offered Cagliari close to 15m which was rejected. Hoped Milan had kept him cos he could formed great partnership with Thiago Silva.

With the amount of games Juve will be playing both domestically and in Europe, thats exactly what Juve need.

I'm not so sure, everyone thought that Pirlo was finished at the end of last season when he signed for Juve, and plenty of journalists questioned whether he might slow down Juve's play etc. I think he'll be a very good signing with the heavy amount of games Juve will be playing domestically and in Europe.

No, Pirlo was not done for sure. Just Milan could not pay the high salary Pirlo wanted and as you see they have this policy to renew the team. So Pirlo was just the first one to leave the team. He played really well and gave Milan the title too, while Lucio did not impress much this season. Although he is still good, he is more of a rotation option for Juve and as you can see Chiellini is injured, while Barzagli just recovered from an injury. I can see Juve signing even one more defender.

Milan didn't pay as Pirlo was average for about 2-3 seasons so most thought he is past it. At Juve he looked very different player though. Saying that I'm not sure Lucio can be Pirloesque signing. He looked clumsy and slow last season. Will be good addition to the squad to play back up role though.

Yeah I just read that. It is not a bad move for Milan actually. With all these money and the released pay roll they are able to get half a team at least.

Seriously ? Screw it. PSG dont need need them, they'll get someone else if they need a striker. Milan will find it hard to get replacements for them if they are gone.

Pescara youngster Marco Verratti set for PSG - ESPN Soccernet

One of the best youngsters of Italy, Marco Verratti, could be a PSG player within this week. Estimated €13 million in transfer fee. It was known that PSG wanted to offload Chamtome and bring in Verratti as a new young blood in the team, quite possibly to replace Bodmer who's nearing his 30's.

Whats surprising is why have Juve not gone for him. Juve apparently didn't want to overpay Vettatti, thus the breakdown, and Pescara wasn't interested in co-ownership deals. If the deal does get completed, then I hope they play in him regularly. I want to see him play for Italy in the WC 2014 ;) Verratti is the close to Pirlo imo.

I actually dont mind the sale as much now as I did month ago when it was rumoured only Thiago was going. 65m is lot of money and will hopefully used to strenghten the team and facilities.

Looking at the team without Thiago Silva and Ibra we now need: 1-2 CB, reqista/trequartista or both and striker. Wouldn't mind getting Ogbonna, Astori or Dede, Sahin, Kaka or Ganso and Dzeko.

All of these could be signed with money from sale and we'd be left with some spare.
