Borini goes to Liverpool. Worst transfer in AS Roma history. We just sold the next Inzaghi for nothing...Shame
At least I hope we use the money to bring back Gago. I do not understand why on the earth in this season when Juve are the main factor we are not buying players and try to get the UCL, but we sell our best prospects.

OFFICIAL: Thiago Silva sold to PSG

Milan have confirmed this evening that they have sold defender Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain.

A bid for the Brazilian and teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic was accepted earlier this week and whilst Silva’s agent confirmed that negotiations for each player would be treated separately, the indication was that Silva’s talks would come after Ibrahimovic’s.

However, following on from rumours that PSG’s team doctor had flown out to meet with Silva to undergo his medical examination, Milan have confirmed via a brief statement on their website that the player’s sale has been concluded.

“AC Milan announced that it has sold to PSG, Thiago Silva,” the brief posting read this evening.

And finaly the recent match-fixing scandel charges have been set on place
Betting scandal: The charges | Football Italia

The betting scandal today saw 44 people and 13 clubs charged, but Napoli, Lazio and Genoa are waiting for September to learn their fate.

The FIGC prosecutor announced the charges for the first phase of the trial into alleged match-fixing after a summer of interrogations.

Between Serie A, B and Lega Pro there are 44 individuals charged with various accusations ranging from sporting fraud to failing to report an attempt at sporting fraud.

These include five Serie A clubs, although only Lecce and Grosseto are accused of direct responsibility for the incidents.

All the other clubs face the charge of indirect responsibility – this means they knew nothing about the wrongdoing, but are punished because individuals within the club or squad did.

Direct responsibility is a very serious accusation, so Lecce and Grosseto could well be demoted.

The investigation is far from a complete picture, as games involving Lazio, Napoli and Genoa are still being scrutinised and charges are not expected before September.

In the current phase of the trial, the charges are as follows.

Clubs charged with direct responsibility: Lecce and Grosseto

Clubs charged with indirect responsibility: Udinese, Bari, Bologna, Portogruaro, Sampdoria, Siena, Ancona, Novara, Torino, Varese and Albinoleffe

Individuals charged with sporting fraud: Andrea Masiello, Salvatore Masiello, Nicola Belmonte, Alessandro Parisi, Leonardo Bonucci, Antonio Bellavista, Stefano Guberti, Marco Rossi, Filippo Carobbio, Daniele Padelli, Cristian Stellini (ex-Siena assistant manager), Giuseppe Vives, Pierandrea Semeraro (Lecce President), Piero Camilli (Grosseto President), Carlo Gervasoni, Mario Cassano, Edoardo Catinali, Cristian Bertani, Davide Drascek, Mavillo Gheller, Marcelo Larrondo, Roberto Vitiello, Alessandro Pellicori, Emanuele Pesoli, Ruben Garlini, Davide Bombardini, Dario Passoni, Luigi Sala, Mirko Poloni, Fernando Coppola, Claudio Terzi

Individuals charged with failing to report an attempted sporting fraud: Simone Pepe, Guido Angelozzi (former Bari director of sport), Simone Bentivoglio, Marco Di Vaio, Angelo Da Costa Junior, Antonio Conte (ex-Siena Coach), Angelo Alessio (ex-Siena assistant manager), Marco Savorani (ex-Siena goalkeeping coach), Marcello Sanfelice (Bologna team manager), Bortolo Mutti (ex-Bari Coach) and Giorgio D’Urbano (ex-Siena fitness coach)

Individuals charged with violating Article 1 on sporting fraud: Marco Esposito

Very glad kaka will be returning. Should hopefully allow Milan to compete with Juve and (Inter?) for the title.

As for the betting scandal... Getting very tired of the amount of scandals which Italian football creates, detracts from the football.

Terrible news about the betting scandal. Bad news that Conte was involved, at least Juve wasn't involved this time would have killed my love for the club if another scandal hit.

Milan are currently minimum of 3 signings from having a squad capable of challenging Juve. Fast CB capable of playing the ball out of defence. ( Mbiwa ) Either reqista ( Nuri Sahin ) or trequartista ( Ricky ) and a striker. ( Dzeko, Matri... )

Also hopefully we can sign Yarmolenko either on january for cheap or next summer on free as his contract is coming to an end. Nice that we've already free'd Sheva's old #7 for him.

I'm still pretty optimistic about Milan's future. Next 1-3 season might be transitional, but there are exciting players coming through and heard some time ago that we've cut the rent deal of San Siro which used to go for 2030 until 2017 so that means we are either planning to buy San Siro or building our own place by then.

Conte to accept three-month ban? | Football Italia

This could be season changing. I would've put Juve as clear faviroutes before this, but now not so sure... It's a shame for Juve that their manager is involved in the scandal, even though he wasn't at Juve at the time.

Expecting Inter to challenge strongly next season.

PS: Shouldn't someone set up a new Serie A thread, with a new poll as to who will win the league for the new season???

I can see Roma too challenging for top honors too. they recently signed Balzoretti, and plus with the signing for Bradley, gives them more attacking options. i think Zeman can bring Roma back to its best, something Enrique failed to do last season.

Roma will certainly be exciting under Zeman and will score plenty of goals. But I don't see them coming first, they'll most probably have a leaky defence under Zeman.

Enrique promised a lot and delivered very little- play like a sterile barcelona.

I really doubt it! Roma, now are full of players that are good but not quality. This season if we had to make any signings they should have been quality ones. I doubt that Balzarretti (although he is world class), Bradley and Castan will bring more than Jose Angel, Juan and others. Not to mention the sell of Borini for 13 mils to bring Destro for 16. Just awful. Meanwhile we got players like Bertolacci, D'Allesandro, Cicirretti and many other young possibly future stars waiting for their chance for ages and playing on loan for teams like Lecce, Sienna, Pescara and others.

If anything Roma needed was quality and to get rid of the deathwoods. Now we got more deathwood. However we still might be able to challenge UCL spot and even get there, having in mind every team beside Juve got weaker (according to me) this season. Btw Enrique was really unlucky, especially with the injury of Burdisso. I think he should have stayed for at least 1 more year. Roma were really nice to watch under his leadership. The dude lacked experience, but had vision and was a good leader.

Lot of rumour going around that Putin is going to buy a stake in Milan via Gazprom. 180m for 25% stake is the latest I've read.

So far Milan have now saved 60m in wage costs this summer as big earners have left. After taxes wages are now at 130m as they were 190m last season. Also Milan has now wage cap in place which stands at 4m p/y.
