I actually dont mind the sale as much now as I did month ago when it was rumoured only Thiago was going. 65m is lot of money and will hopefully used to strenghten the team and facilities.

Looking at the team without Thiago Silva and Ibra we now need: 1-2 CB, reqista/trequartista or both and striker. Wouldn't mind getting Ogbonna, Astori or Dede, Sahin, Kaka or Ganso and Dzeko.

All of these could be signed with money from sale and we'd be left with some spare.

Well the thing is that there are loads of replacements out there if both leave Milan. The hard part is convincing those two wroldclass players to come play in Ligue 1.

Ganso and Dzeko are realistic targets and would be relatively cheap as well. Santos are preparing to cut their losses on Ganso and he will not command a transfer fee anywhere near what he could have 2-3 seasons ago. Dzeko has been marginalized somewhat at City and he is still a quality player

€65M would be just a transfer fee, AC would also save over €100M on wages if they sold the two players. Would be a HUGE deal for both sides.

Ganso's "owner" said a few days ago that he would never play for Santos again. Linked strongly with Internacional as the man who owns his rights also has links to them. Looks likely that he'll go there as Oscar's replacement when he goes to Chelsea/Spurs/anywhere else.

7.5m p/y for Silva did it last time as he already agreed terms with PSG. Also Ibra might not be happy when he sees Juve spend shitloads and Milan sign only bosmans and cheap players like Acerbi. I have no doubt they will both agree a move. They also both pocket nice signing on fee's from PSG.

AC Milan should taking these offers without doubt. The club seriously needs the money. Now is a good time to restructure the club, especially financially, the club isnt well run on that front at all.

Dzeko was also on Milan's radar couple years ago and was almost signed, but then Ibra became available and Dzeko went to City. He is build to succeed in Serie A.

Milan have good relationship with company which owns 55% of Ganso and it's rumoured that agreement has been in place for quite some time. It all comes down to does Ganso want to move to Italy or stay in Brazil.

Exactly. Milan have done things to improve as all new players are on quite low wages and older players who stayed took major wagecuts ( Flamini 4.5 to 1.8m )

Some of that money should be used in upgrading Milan medical facilities which used to be WC and in past Milan could extend players careers for years and now it doesnt work so well anymore ( Look at injuries last season for example ) Also youth coaching and recruitmend needs to improve.

But the most important thing is to either buy San Siro and upgrade it or get new stadium. Milan is regarded quite highly in Near East so getting investment from there shouldn't be too hard.

Yep latest figures are horrible and the club have admitted as much that they need to sell their key players to raise cash. Personally feel getting a 30 y/old Ibra and 27 y/old Thiago Silva out of the club for these prices would be great business. Not to mention you can buy a couple of good prospects/established players for a fraction of that money

If sale of Thiago Silva and Ibra go through Milan will be saving ~30-32.5m per year on wage costs. That's counting in saves made on players who have left on free ( Gattuso, MVB and so on ) , players who have signed new reduced contracts ( Flamini, Ambrosini ) and also estimate of money paid to new players who have joined ( Montolivo,Acerbi,Traore )

This is not yet counting probable sale of Taiwo and loan of Mesbah, but those dont make big difference as they were on quite low salaries already.

By these calculations I think Milan's wage to revenue ratio is now closer to 70 when it used to be almost 90%. Far from healthy, but much better than other big italian clubs have.

Wtf and Thiago Silva signed a contract for Milan like 5 days ago??

Yes and now he is gone. Milan probably demanded that Ibra and Thiago Silva be sold as a package cos Ibra was quite hard to sell due to his high wages and age.

Shows you the state of Italian football finances, when you say 70% is much better than the others. Wasted the huge amounts of money Italian football had in the 90's, the bubble burst and now they are all left struggling.

Apart from Juventus, who still have plenty of money.

Ibra and Thiago Silva leaving Serie A is really bad for the league. Also I didn't want that to happen as I loved watching them play. Not that they will play in France, apart from CL games I can hardly watch them play.

Hopefully Milan will use money wisely by buying top class young players. I think Juve will walk the league as their only competitor will be significantly weakened by the departures of Silva, Nesta, Ibra.

They have, but their wages to revenue ratio was over 90% last season and largest in Italy, but it could be helped with offloading of Krasic, Elia and rest of unwanted players.
