Hey, all. New to the game and forum. I don't really know anything about football, but decided to try this game because I loved the hockey series. I just got this player from my first youth intake as coach of Lucena in Spain's Second Division B4. Can anyone steer me toward the best role for him? I'd really appreciate any help because I'm really at a loss. I want to give him a chance at a good career without mucking up his development.

Also, I created a custom schedule for him with defense to "none." I noticed that Messi and Ronaldo (the only players/forwards I really know) have lower defense than him... So I'm assuming it's not important for a primarily offensive role. Is this advisable?

Focus on his composure in his individual training. He could be a great pocher with the right guidance, especially at the level you're managing. You've done the right thing only concentrating on the attacking aspects of his game. If you've got decent coaches and a decent enough set-up, he should be a legend for you

How do you get player positions and match ratings to appear on the attributes screnn ?? thank you

Thanks! I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. I didn't want to continue the game without knowing what attributes I should or shouldn't focus on because of all the different types of strikers.

I just use the Default (1920 x 1080, 60.00 Hz) display mode. As far as I know, screen layout depends on window size. When I use "Windowed" mode those features disappear. Hope it helps.

I'd not advise it, put it on low, if i remember right, theres 1 stat in defending that matters a bit for offensive players, not majorly but having 0 isnt a good idea I think, I did it once and got warned by my coaches so I looked into it. I recall deciding it was a bad idea

I'm still trying to figure out the game mechanics so I appreciate any advice I can get.

Post a screen shot of a top regen in your game. My guy is 19 year old Sasa Miller of Australia. Different scouts have rated him 4 or 5 star potential. Last two games for Aus he scored 4 and then 5.

Some of my Regen !!!!

SOME OF MY EXTRAORDINARY REGEN !!!!!!

Paco (could be the next Lionel Messi)

I snap this kid from Barcelona academy, just like Wenger when he snapped Cesc from La Masia. Age just 16 when I approach this kid. This kid surely is the next big thing guaranteed. Just look at his stats and with his age. Everything is possible. I tend to make him the new Messi. Playing on the right wing with devastating left foot. And he is small just like Messi.

Miguel Angel (dubbed as the new Robert Pires)

Filipe Silva (Arsenal's Xavi)

Carlos Pedros Delgado (could be as influential as Laurent Blanc or Marcel Desailly for France)

This kid. I snapped from Marseilles when he was 17. Now look at his stats at just aged 21. And look at his goalscoring record !!! 20 goal a season, and the sesaon havent ended !!! A CENTRE BACK WITH 25++ goals a season ! And yes all that goals are from corners.

Diego Valenti (New Zanetti ?)

At some point on my game I dont have a proper right back. Sagna retire, Rafinha retire. I dont know what to do. Then I search on Brazil and Argentina. And I found this gem on Boca Juniors. I bought him. Not cheap, I bought him for 48M. And now he cemented the right back position for maybe the next 10 years. Could be a legend on that position.

Demba Diallo (Szechny wants to leave the club searching for a new challenge despite winning 32 trophies on 9 years with me !!!! So, here comes this kid......)

Make sure you get him tutored by a senior player with good mental stats as well

About that... The problem is I'm on such a low level team that I can't sign any senior players that have good enough mental attributes to keep Tur's from falling (determination and work rate) with a personality to match. None of the players I currently have are capable of being a proper tutor.

I keep asking my board for some leeway in order to find one outside of the club, but I'm being rejected left and right because they think any transfer is unrealistic. My payroll limit for the season is only $17,645 and I'm already spending $19,090 and my transfer budget is only $23,589. I'm financially handcuffed.

I see other managers in this thread spending millions more on acquiring prospects and it makes me want to cry, haha.
