Vagner Love to Miss Man City Game

Vagner Love was injured in training following a late tackle from Steve Gohouri, Love has sustained a facial injury with will see him out for between 7 to 10 days. It is not a major blow but his strike power will be sorely miss against City. Vagner will also be doubtful against Reading witch could turn out to be a crunch match come the end of the season. Vagner love has been a key man to Coventry's great start to their season with 2 goals but what will be missed most is his flair, electric pace and the fear he put in opposition defenders

Traore made it level just before half time with a solo goal beating 3 defenders then slamming it home. Kazim Richard slotted in by Vagner Love scored a tap in to put City ahead on the 53rd minute.A Bolton counter made it level on the 69th minute to make it level again Lee Chung-Yong the scorer. Off The Pitch

Proud of how the team is doing in the league currently 10th and playing like a premiership quality team which is giving me confidences Coventry will avoid the drop. Gunnarsson was again in the awards coming second in Young Player of the Month yet again. Martin Cranie suffered a strained wrist this month and should back in earlier half of October. Coventry will play Ipswich is the 4th round of the League Cup.

Off The Pitch:

11th in the League, in the League Cup Semi Final things are going great. The FA Cup 3rd round was drawn and Coventry will face Sheff Utd for the second time in cup competition , again to be played at The Ricoh Area. A new more defensive tactic has strangely lead to more goals and nicer football and has also cut out the amount of counters. Silvestre picked up a damaged knee cap against Newcastle that will see him out till about the 1st or 2nd week of December , Gunnarsson was injured in the Cup game against Blackburn and will miss 3-4 weeks with a pulled hamstring. Vagner Love came 3rd in player of the month and Gunnarsson came 3rd in young player of the month. Also Scott Dann has been in terrible form since signing for the club and has been at fault for a few goals with careless mistakes he may see himself at a new club in January unless his form picks up.In the League Cup Qtr Finals Fulham knocked out Liverpool, Chelsea beat Man utd on Penalties and Man City sent out Bolton.

League Cup Semi Final Draw

Fulham V Chelsea and Coventry V Man City

Coventry Looking Towards "El Fenomeno"

Ronaldo now 34, is currently playing for Corinthians in Brazil but his contract in due to run out at the end of this month. He is set to retire but he is considering another year. Casey has said that El Fenomeno was is his favorite player of all team and would love to chance for him to work with Ronaldo. Ronaldo has played in Brazil, Holland, Italy and Spain for giants such as Inter, Real Madrid, Barca and PSV to name a few of his clubs. Ronaldo may like to add England to the list but it is highly unlikely, especially since Ronaldo is currently injured Retirement is tje most likely for the number 9 who scored 246 goals over 342 games during his career despite facing many horrible injurys.

Off The Pitch:

A top month for Coventry winning all their games. Introduction of Sunny Dudek Kadlec to the starting 11 nd Silvestre's move to left back has be fantastic as the results show. The team has gelled, playing outstanding football, very attractive play, very solid in all areas. The back up players have jumped in superb when needed. Has not been all good though Vagner Love missed 3 weeks of football with a twisted knee and Gunnarsson tore his calf muscle and is expected to be out for 3-4 months missing the rest of the season. Coventry Manager Simon Casey was offered 3 jobs this month, Portmouth , Burnely and Italian side Bari all after the young manager who was crowned Championship manager of the year last season but none could prise him away. Flying high in 5th place may see Coventry pushing for a Europa League spot and are even in with a shot of the Champions League, the season is hotting up. Coventry cleaned up the awards for the month of February, Casey with Manager of the Month, Gohouri with Player of the Month, Kadlec with Young Player of the Month and Kadlec again with Goal of the month with a stunning solo goal against Bolton.
