Twice in a week we had to play 120 minutes but this was something else. Allain was sent off after 8 minutes so we were looking at 112 minutes with 10 men but thats no challenge lets have our other wing back Kupriy after the 68th minute leaving us with 50 minutes of football with 9 men. Firstly we closed to door and held on to get to extra time. That break and a change to more counter attacking play and with that in the 98th minute a player who has been with us since the Championship days Rodrigo Bentancur struck what turned out to be the quadruple winning goal.

I'm sure he can. His attributes are fantastic all round. It's just something I've noticed with a few regens now on FM 16; that they are of average height but jump like their stuck in the mud.

Season 2021/22 Review

End of Season meeting the board confirmed the stadium will be extended to 55,000 and while that is happening we'll move to the Etihad for the 22/23 season
We've won the lot, well except the Community shield where Tottenham beat us on Penaltys. But forgetting that footnote in the League we finished 1 point behind last seasons record equaling 95 points winning the league by 9 points from Man City who joined us in a League of 2 at the top.
We beat leverkusen in the Champions League winning the battle of two sides looking for there first title. Man City were the only team to beat us and that was after we gave them a 4-1 hiding in the 1st leg.
Cup double looked to be in the bag heading into the FA Cup final with West Ham who put up a huge fight forcing us into extra time Where our man advantage prove to be the difference.
Man Utd won the Europa League to save Pepe's job and we'll play them in the European Super Cup

This level of dominance suggest the challenge of Sheffield Wednesday is over. I will sit at the club till the Sheffield United job comes up which may be longer or sooner than i think depending how you take the news at the bottom.

Back in Sheffield i used this summer to bulk up on signings giving the next manager a huge depth of players to choose from. That combined with the fact im really struggling to find players that are not developing at a positive rate

Biggest player to leave was Oswaldo Buelvas who is better than the u18's joining the 1st team but they could be better than him with the right exposure. Victor served his purpose by covering the 1st team and letting me loan out youth players to gain experience. Joseph Chiwunga who was outperformed by two u18 strikers so i was delighted to get his value for him. Two youngsters that havent quite developed how i liked was Will Miller & Jan Zavadil. Miller picked up a few England caps of course as soon as i sold him.

Suffer our first defeat of the season and it was a huge shock to Southampton at Home in the League cup
Team were still in shock for our next League game at home to West Brom but we turned that around in the end
Still 100% in the Premiership
