I honestly think we'll get him if we put a bid in and it gets accepted. He's a former Reading Trainee and still lives local. If we get him, i would actually seriously **** in my pants.

Would be a great signing, hope we rob him off of you ;)

Baby Brad going, Fofana deal stalled... it's all going even more **** up than it already is. :'(

Gotta pity Villa, struggling in the league and now a clear-out. Feel for you guys :(

I still can't understand why everyone apart from Villa fans seem to think the clearout is a bad thing: we have a whole load of overpaid, fairly mediocre players hanging around the squad. A clearout is what we need. People like Guzan, great backup though he is, can be replaced by up and coming youngsters like Elliot Parish. I wish Brad well, he deserves a first team spot.

What we also need is some signings, however, which is why I'm gutted about Fofana.

When I was watching SSN earlier, they were talking about tottenham signing a spanish player or a player from a spanish club on loan...

Liverpool strategy director Damien Comolli made a personal trip to Southampton to watch winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain yesterday.

The Saints starlet scored and produced a fine individual display in the 4-1 League One win against Huddersfield Town, a performance that was sure to impress the watching Liverpool supremo.

Together with Anfield chief Roy Hodgson, the pair are thought to have drawn a shortlist of 'five or six' players as the January transfer window looms, and watching the wing wizard appears to be a clear indication of interest.

Nigel Adkins was unaware that the recently appointed director of football strategy at Liverpool was in the stands at St Mary's, but expressed that the club would be keen to hold on to the teenage prodigy.

"I didn't know he (Comolli) was here, but we will not start talking about all our players having a price, or putting a price on players' heads. We want to keep this squad together," said Adkins.

"We are not looking to let Alex go."

The player has drawn obvious comparisons to former Southampton hero Theo Walcott, and a signature would be heralded as a real coup for Liverpool should they land the player.

An attacking foil for Fernando Torres is thought to be the priority on Merseyside, although Liverpool have been linked with a handful of players in a string of positions.

With a reported transfer war chest in the region of £35 million following the arrival of NESV as the new owners at Liverpool, finances would not seem to be an issue should the club wish to move for the third tier star.

Brighton & Hove Albion have signed winger Craig Noone from League One rivals Plymouth for an undisclosed fee.

Any one just going to sit watching Sky Sports News tomorrow ? 8-|

Rumours around Glasgow are saying that Marco Caneira of Sporting Lisbon could be heading to Parkhead in a swap deal with Giorgios Samaras. Also some saying that Scott McDonald is set to have a medical tonight, but I'm not so sure about that one. :S
