Port Vale unveil new kits

Newly promoted Championship side Port Vale have unveiled new kits for their 2012/2013 Championship season. The home kit is the traditional Port Vale white kit with beautiful black and yellow trims. The away kit is very similar to that used in a season in the early 60's and later used in the late 90's. This is a lovely strip with the bumble bee stripes down rather then horizontal as it has been the previous three seasons. The third kit is something different. It is a dark blue kit with a light turqouise sash, a nice kit but probably won't be used very often.

New blood brought in at Vale Park
After seeing six players leave the club on a free transfer including Kris Taylor, Tommy Fraser and Gareth Owen, manager Daniel Oakes saw this as the time to bring new faces in.
Ritchie De Laet has been at the club on loan and as his contract was expiring and Daniel Oakes saw this as the time to bring the defender in permanently. ''Ritchie has been here for three years on loan at the club and has made a massive impact. He has been brilliant for our team and I am delighted to sign him permanently. I am surprised Manchester United let him leave and this is an excellent signing for us''. Young goalkeeper, Tom O'Conner also joined the club on a free transfer and Jay Biggs joined the club on loan from Wigan.

Oakes completes massive coup
Today left Vale fans delighted and downright shocked when former Everton striker James Vaughan joined the club on a free transfer. ''I saw James on the free agents list and thought, well, why not lodge a cheeky offer for him? Three days later, he signed for us. This has left me both shocked and delighted as he is a great player and will bring publicity to the club as he is well known for being a talent. I am excited to see him in action''.
In addition to James Vaughan, Port Vale have swooped to sign Eidur Gudjohnson since his Monaco contract expired in the summer. ''Eidur is possibly the biggest name player ever to come to this club and I am delighted to have him on board. If you told me three years ago that Eidur Gudjohnson would be playing for Port Vale in the Championship I would have rung up the mental institute but today we signed him up to the club on the dotted line and I am delighted to have sealed his signature. We have also signed Jean-Phillippe Sabo who is a great challenger to the left back position. He can also play at the left midfield position and I believe he will be a great player for us''.
