Thiago Motta Capped for Italy

All that matters is you play for the country that you feel part of, if your Spanish and been living in England for the last 10 years you'd feel part of you is English, or you English and your parents are Irish, or grandparents are Irish and you are brought up as an Irishman, but on your passport your English. If Arteta were to play for England it would because he wants to play for England, not because he feels he isn't good enough for Spain, would you really want a player that is only playing for your country because he sees it as "this will do" type of thing?

I don't see why people are going on about Arteta, he can't play for England anyways as he would of needed five years of education in England and to of had English nationality while he played in an u21 competition, which he doesn't have.

Senna has not spanish links at all appart from having played for Villarreal for years.

And he was a capital piece of the squad in Euro 2008 and played with so much comminment as anybody else.

I say yes to pick foreign players for playing with other national sides.
