However, from now on, the update1.2 has been released for patch 13.2

Please check carefully the OP, as all the information has been provided. The new link has been posted, and these new tactics is now appear for the first time.

Please check again the OP, especially the Manual, because I have edited it a lot!

And for everyone have downloaded Combo tactics from the beginning, please refer to the OP, and download the new update: a rar file including 1COMBO(1.2), 2COMBO(1.2) and 3COMBO(1.2)! Check also the Change list!

apvmoreira, please forget about the test I have posted 2 days ago. That tactic I will leave for another time.

OK. I will use the new combos 1 and 2 with the old combo 2. I feel that we need more options away, since the team is more exposed.

Your opinion about naming the tactic update is great. However I release update not depend on the new patches (actually I have updated many times more than SI, hehe, so I guess I will keep the name like this)

The newest COMBOs are now 1.2 version.

However as I have stated on OP, you can still use 2COMBO(1.2) and make a very small change to change back to original 2Combo in no time! So maybe give it a try!
 
Well, finished my first season with Sporting CP.
Not happy with 4th place in the league but had great moments during the season.
Mainly was the poor quality of my players and the excellent performance of Porto and Benfica (both were in the european finals - Champions and Euro League.
Now if I can manage to buy the players that I want, I'm sure that gonna be successful next season.

Last 2 games were with 1Combo(1.2) and didn't like it! Cost me the 3th place and Champions League!

Actually 1COMBO(1.2) do not have much changes from the original 1COMBO (you may check the change list). However if the result continues going down, you may try change both AML and AMR wide play to "Normal". So keep me posted mate!

I also believe that your result there is not good enough. Maritimo have done better than that. The numbers of games we lost are 7, which is a bit much. Sorry for this mate!
 
Hi guys!

I'm at work now so cannot play right now to test if the tactics are working on 13.2.1.

So I suggest you all to try latest COMBO(1.2).

If things do not work, you can switch back to COMBO original as I still keep the download link on OP.

Hope for your feedback on new hot-fix!

Firstly need to thanks yr good effort to make up a great combo tactic for Man Utd. Currently now me just started 2nd season on my manutd save. I'm start using ur combo tactic on seasons 1 seen day 1 u create it till now. Recently updated to 13.2.1 before start second seasons. Now I'm use ur combo tactics (1.2). Seen start use ur new versions, combo 1 (1.2) are great on home games and combo 2 (1.2) for away games are work very great and score like fun. Thanks so much for a great tactics.


Just wan to share how I use ur tactic version 1.2 on my 2nd season. For home games I'm only use combo 1(1.2). I'm just give OP to opponent striker. I'm start with strategy counter if not score after 20 minutes change to attacking or overload. When the score line 3 or 4 goal normally will change to contain to retain my score(but sometime contain will score with counter-attack). Seen combo 1(1.2) during great at the moment never try use ur combo 3(1.2) for home games.


For away games, at the moment use combo 2(1.2) is very great and no change to use combo 3(1.2). As usual when kick off normal I'm use strategy overload(with this it ur team will start with attack and score some goal b4 halftime), when it have 2 or 3 goal me will change strategy to contain for defensive with counter-attack(with this contain my team not only defence but score during counter-attack). If u use contain strategy and yr opponent keep presure on ur sides change back to overload strategy.


Just wan to share how I use yr great combo tactics. Hope yr understand my broken English hehehe....

Hi bro!

Since now it seems that Man utd is the most ideal team to use Combo tactics.

Can you upload some screenshots, like your squad, your first season result, and second season?

I hope that good run can continue on your save.

However you said that you change the strategy for 1Combo(1.2). It's strange because as I know, if you change strategy to Counter or Overload, it is no difference for 1Combo(1.2), because the D-line, Tempo, Width and Waste time have been fixed! The only way to use 1Combo with different Strategy is to switch to 3Combo before changing the Strategy.

I'm very glad that 2Combo(1.2) work well for you, because 2Combo is the tactic changed the most in update1.2. At this moment the thing I want to hear the most is the good result for 2Combo(1.2) from my testers :)
 
I'm using this set for my second season with Tottenham.
Finished pre-season and it all look ok, created a lot of goal attempts although not many ccc's. To many long shots but it seams like those shots are reduced when the team is getting familiar with the tactics.
I'll report more later when more games have been played and I'm more used to using the set.

And yes, thanks for all the work done creating this tactic-set.

Great pre-season you made there mate! Good luck on your season (and good luck on Barca game)!

For long shot I leave almost of them as default, it depends on your strikers, AMCs, CMs Long shot attribute. You should change this to rare or always according to your players,

And maybe Cavani will suit the STRK position better than Adebayor?
 
Just played the Barca game, won 3-2. Good result but all goals scored from free kicks that was headed by central defenders or defensive midfielder. Very happy that i beat them in both possession and shots.

Not that happy to get a draw at home to Newcastle in a game i totally dominated, equalized 89min. Again a goal coming from free kick, headed by defender.

Played Adebayor cause i wanted him and Cavani on the pitch, Cavani has only scored twice including playing in five friendlies. I'll probably end upp with Cavani as my first choice after a while.

Maybe you try Cavani as DLF or CF. Just make change to COMBO tactics anytime you think it is useful, mate!

Back at the time I complained to my friend on a network game that he scored many set-piece goals when my team played against his team. He said that he must push up the players into my box to make that set-piece chances appear. I think it may relieve your situation.

Anyway, maybe try more Attack movement match training? And also you should figure out who is the best for your every single position, mate!

Your result here is now promising. Cheer for that!

I like this tactic very much, but it feels like cheating using this tactic, because i win everyone to easily, only 2 loses in 38 games :D, so i started new game with stoke =)

Im playing Cavani as a Poacher, only thing i tweaked is Target man supply, instead of "Run onto ball" i made it mixed, and it works brilliant for Cavani

Upside: Cavani scored set as advanced forward.
Downside: Poor performance overall, 0 ccc's, 4shots on target and a lot of long distance shots (all players but two set to rarely take longshots).

Oh well, i'm going to stick with it for at least this season however it goes =)
 
Im testing with Tottenham aswell and i have the same experience! dont get me wrong, im winning, undefeated in december, but something is missing. ALOT of longshots, i normally produce 20+ shots pr. game but most are longshots! I had 37 shots at home too Debrecen in euro league and won 1-0. The strikers ( adebayor, defoe and lewandowski ) are not involved in the game, the hardly score. the wingers move into center and does the finishing, instead of staying wide and cross into box. this results in no balls played inside box so the striker gets nothing too work with. imthinking about changing from "move into channels" to "hug touchline" to get more smooth running.. right now i get 10 finishes from 25 yards from the wingers..

So it's appear on 13.2.1 now is that the players take a lot of Long shots!

So you're using 2Combo for Away match?

If your players take to many Long shots, it's may even because of the D-line. Pushing it up by increase the Strategy. With the too low D-line, the attacker ends up the ball at a position far from goal but no-one to pass to, he will tend to dribble through or take wasting long shot. Increase the Strategy is my first Suggestion on this issue.

Okay, let's change something and test it mate!

Something has been changed on the latest patch. So the issue appear on only 1Combo or also 2Combo?
