Donny van de Beek will complete medical tests as new Eintracht player in the next 24 hours. Loan deal will be signed this week. The buy option clause will be there as revealed on Friday; it's not mandatory, worth €11m fixed plus €4m add-ons. Exclusive news, confirmed.

Not that Utd would ever do business with us, but I'd have taken DVB in a heartbeat.

In the right environment, under proper coaching, he's still a young enough top prospect. All the traits to spell Mac Allister as to how we view a playmaking 6. With the versatility to play in any of the midfield roles.

All the best to him in Germany rebuilding his career.

#mufc are actively working on potential new signings. They are speaking to agents of some strikers. They have spoken to representatives of Donyell Malen, Timo Werner and Serhou Guirassy. Centre back is also a position they could cover in January [@FabrizioRomano]

BREAKING: @FabrizioRomano on Jean-Claude Blanc: “He is really close to getting the job, it is just about the final details and then Blanc is expected to become the new Manchester United CEO.” “He has big experience, so he’s considered the perfect man for the job. United are also close to agreeing a compensation fee for Dan Asworth from Newcastle.

| #mufc will implement a more ruthless approach to their process over player contracts in a bid to prioritise the right culture and recruitment strategy over business interests. [@MelissaReddy_]

🚨
| INEOS want to stop unnecessary contract extensions at #mufc if it doesn't make football sense. In the past, lucrative fresh terms on deals would be sanctioned to protect a player's value and avoid losing them on a free transfer. [@MelissaReddy_]

| This has been flagged as one of the core reasons the club find it so hard to trim the squad and make a profit on outgoings. #mufc's option for an extra 12 months on deals will also not automatically be triggered moving forward unless necessary. [@MelissaReddy_]

Understand Tottenham have now opened talks to sign Jean Clair Todibo in January. He’s high on Tottenham list, not easy deal with OGC Nice — but talks now starting.
🇫🇷
Spurs spoke also to player’s camp in the recent days. Todibo remains also on Man United list since June.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s deal to buy 25 per cent of Manchester United is in final negotiations.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s deal to buy 25 per cent of Manchester United was in final negotiations on Thursday night. The Ineos team and Glazer family are understood to have been working all week to try to complete the paperwork in order to start the process of approvals though, even if concluded on Friday, it will be weeks into the New Year before it can be fully ratified by the Premier League and other regulators.

The complications of how to split authority between the sporting side and commercial business are thought to be among the reasons why talks have taken so long, with staff battling to tie up countless details and legalities.

There had been suggestions of a three-man board of Ratcliffe, Joel Glazer and Sir Dave Brailsford on the footballing side, giving Ineos a CASTING VOTE, but the final settlement is likely to give the petrochemicals billionaire FULL SAY on any major football decisions such as transfers and the future of Erik ten Hag, the manager.

Approval for the deal, with the Premier League needing to ratify and Uefa also involved in discussions given that Ineos also own OGC Nice, could take another four to six weeks so Ineos would not be taking formal control of transfers until after the January transfer window. [Times Sport]
