I use FMRTE whilst testing tactics to maximize fluidity and morale, I'll keep you updated.

ok m8, imo liverpool aint exactly the best team to test it with, dont have the best wingers in the world lol (United Fan BTW), but 1 thing i would suggest is to try suarez in the acm role, think it would suit him better

Your playing as Botofogo in the Brazilian regional leagues, barely 'working tactic' really. Come back when it's been tested in the prem, as someone like Spurs/Everton/Liverpool.

LoL!! why does a working tactic have to be tested in the prem league??? or a top club??? if its good enough it will work with high/low rep teams

Like written before, it's best to test the tactic for a season or two before starting a new thread. These things always happends when one has only played a couple of matches.

On Topic: A tactic does in no way have to work for many types of teams but when you name it " Total Football" and mention Barca in the opening post, people will assume the approach to work top teams in the prem.

I still stand by my recommendation that is to have the thread closed until you have fully developed the tactic and having used it some more.

Why do you have a limited defender and a BWM in Very Fluid system? They are roles for very one dimensional limited specialist players. It doesn't really fit in with the philosophy of a Very Fluid style of play.

I had a near identical system to this at the start of fm 13 except no limited defender and it was balanced and Control everything else was the same as yours.

I scraped it though as I didn't really have that much consistency with it.

Problems I encountered was 1 there isn't really a holding midfielder. A BWM has high closing down so will move all around the pitch trying to win the ball leaving a massive gap. It would be better to change him to a cm d or change him to support and have the DLP on defend.

Also there is alot of attack duties. It would be better to change the AP to support or the CF to support.

Ive changed the ball winning midfielders mentality and lowered hiis closing down instruction

ive cutomised the tactic & player instructions to what i think would give the team an all-round stability

thanks for the input though

It's especially useless to test only the early games in a season because the AI teams are not usually as fit and gelled as the user team. Plenty of tactics do well in early games then fall apart once the AI is gelled and fit.

The Brazil season is a long 1, starts in jan and ends in november, during xmas brazil national team play games and when it comes to january the players are already match fit

Nice work StueyRob! :D

I had been using a 4-2-3-1 with a similar setup but a bit more direct/aggressive and had been successful but after the recent patch, hasn't been quite as dominant. Cheers!

Update on how my game goin upto now

as you can see starting to play alot of big teams and beating them, Flamengo, Vasco, Fluminense etc...

copa libertadores is the brazillian equivelant of the champions league and is pretty tough, the competition is 4.5 star rated compared to the champions league 5 star rating, so its no easy games against south americas top teams.

Here is how my team is fairing in the goals & assists department.

as you can see the goals are pretty much shared around as are the assists.
