Anyone else a fan of these games?

I'm currently playing on Napoleon: Total War, and interested in some multiplayer matches with people (either allied/cooperative, or versus/competitive is fine with me).

So if you're interested, let me know. :) Oh, and if you want to just discuss the games, this thread is good for that too. (K)
 
I downloaded the series on steam a while back (Medieval, Rome, and Empire with the expansions for like $20 I think it was) but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I just didn't give them much of a chance. They LOOK fun to me, I just couldn't get keep playing for more than an hour or so.
 
You get these games off steam? if its cheap then i might consider buying it. The only strategy game ive play are red alert ones with the tanks. I just checked its only £24.99 so its a possibility might need some serious game time before i play you guys tho.

Billy, is your avatar what i think it is? Because if it is very good taste dude.

You can get all Total War games on Steam I believe.

Ok, Definitely buying it then will be a few days until i get it tho just brought a Wii so no cash.

Whats your thoughts on AOE2 btw?.

My favourite character is Kakashi/Naruto lol...

aoe2 was the best strategy game ever, age of kings was beast
 
I used to play Age of Empires II: Conquerors over LAN with friends last year in our campus halls.

Not played it in ages. Good game though. :)

As for Naruto, he's getting better. I like Gaara/Rocklee, but neither of them appear as often as I'd like anymore.
 
I find it hard to play other strategy games since i used to be a pro at AOE. Might look into it though Billy, cheers.
 
I played Medieval (1st one) for a while when I was in 6th form, my mates used to come over and we would play LAN matches. Was good fun, but to be honest, it didn't have great replayability, if thats a word. It got a bit repetative and we ended up playing AOE.
 
i like Rome Total War but the others i think aren't great
 
Big fan of Rome totel war and very much enjoyed both the medieval games. i like to games without guns. Bows and arrows for the Win!
 
If anyone is a fan of strategy games, look at Europa Universalis,just a much more detailed Total War.
And yes, the total wars games are awesome ^^)
 
Not liked a strategy game since AOE2. I spent countless hours perfecting rush/turtle tactics when I was younger, we used to play it at college when I was 16 over the lan instead of doing work, even got the tutor to play once.
 
I've played rome the best one by farm online is epic and campaign mode :D
 
Played every one and its expansion packs since it started out with Shogun TW. Still think Rome is my favourite.

Same goes for AOE.

I like my strategy games.
 
I'm loving NTW. The tech tree is impressive & the RT battles are cool. I didn't like ETW but I think NTW is a big improvement. I wasn't sure massed ranged warfare would work in the TW series but I've been pleasantly surprised - can't wait for Shogun 2, but I guess I'll have to !
 
Only played M2TW around my GCSEs, but loved it, tempted to try and play it again but it took a lot of time to settle into.
 
That's what i'm wondering, played AOE 1,2,3, and AOM 1,2 and i have played Imperial glory, and medieveal and Rome.. wanting to add another one to my collection (6)
