Ricky Lambert scored a excellent goal to Knock a young Spurs side out of the Carling Cup. It was the saints who started brightly and were rightly rewarded when Tadanari Lee beat Younas Kaboul to the front post to give Southampton a suprise lead. Tottenham lacked any real creativity but did get level just before the break when Louis Saha controlled and finished well to give Spurs something to muster after a poor 1st half showing. The second half started the same way, Tottenham cudnt find any rythem and were stunned when ricky Lambert stung a 30 yard Beauty into the top corner to Silence the home supporters and give his side a 4th round tie at Premier League Queens Park Rangers.

Tottenham Hotspur were left Frustrated as they had 3 goals ruled out in a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane. Tottenham looked the better side throughout and Jermain Defoe had a goal ruled out after 17 minutes for offside, It was then Cavani who was ruled offside when he looked to have given Spurs the lead on 34 minutes. But as the game reached the final 10 minutes, Luka Modric bundled the ball home to send the home fans into raptures, before Referee mike dean ruled the goal out for a foul in the build up which left players, fans and manager Nick Treadwell Frustrated on a cold Night in North London.

View attachment 236233

Tottenham kept there nerve to gain a valuable 3 points in Belgium to keep there 100% record in the Europa League, It was the host's that started well with former Liverpool foreward Milan Jovanovic going close, But just after the half hour a Niko Kranjcar corner found Jermain Defoe unmarked to put his side into the lead. Emmanuel Adebayor then doubled the lead with a bullet header. Anderlecht then recieved a lifeline when Jovanovic was hauled down by Michael Dawson, he then dusted himself off to score the penalty. Spurs then rapped the game up when Niko Kranjcar scored a 25 yard free kick but there was still time for Tom De Sutter to grab a consilation for the Belgians.

Modric off as Spurs show some Grit

Bolton 1-2 Tottenham
( Lennon, Cavani, Modric s.o )

View attachment 236234

Tottenham showed some real team spirit after playing over a hour with only 10 men as beat Bolton 2-1 at the Reebok. After a tight opening it was Spurs who struck 1st, Aaron Lennon tapping in from the far post after a Gareth Bale shot hit the post, The drama came 2 minutes later, Modric already on a yellow, clattered Zat Knight and recieved his marching orders which left Spurs with a changearound. Although 5 minutes later it looked so easy as Cavani ripped through the middle to score and give Spurs a comfortable lead. Late in the half Bolton had themselves a lifeline when Sanli Tuncay scrambled the ball home to give Bolton a oppertunity in the second Half. For the 1st time this season Spurs had to show some grit and they were fantastic, Playing possesion football the ten men still had 55% of the possesion and kept Bolton to long attempts in the second Half, It was a satisfying win that keeps Spurs ahead of Swansea at the top of the League.

Tottenham recorded a comfotable 3-0 win over Sunderland at White Hart Lane, After a good Sunderland ressistance they were broken after half an hour when Aaron Lennon scored from 18 yards, After that it was about summer signing Cavani, He scored his fist with power hitting a bullet into the roof of the net before playing a nice one-two with Emmanuel Adebayor and finely Chipping Sunderland keeper Craig Gordan.

Manchester United inflicted Tottenham's first league defeat of the season. Man Utd opened the scoring after 4 minutes when Michael Dawson Brought down Wayne Rooney and Nani finished off the penalty, Former Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov then doubled the lead. Spurs to there credit refused to lie down and just before the break they got a lifeline, Jermain Defoe slipping between the centre half's to get his side back into it. Sup Sub Cavani's Supershow

Tottenham 4-2 Young Boys
( Cavani 4)

View attachment 236259

Players, Fans, Managers and the media are all heaping praise on Tottenham Striker Edinson Cavani after inspiring his side to come from 2-0 down with a phenominal half an hour performance. Tottenham's much changed side looked to be down and out when Raul Bobadilla and a Ledley King own goal gave the swiss side a 2-0 lead. The key moment came on 62 minutes, when Cavani and Modric were brought on for Louis saha and Rafael Van Der Vaart, it was Bale who linked up with the Uruguayian to get one back before he won a penalty 7 minutes late, which he dispatched with ease. With White hart Lane Rocking Cavani scored a peach with 5 minutes remaining to send Tottenham crazy, and the striker still had time to convert a Jermian Defoe cross in added time.

The result see's Spurs progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League and will be joined by Jablonec

View attachment 236262

Tottenham Hotspur have opened up a 5 point gap at the top of the Barclay's Premier League with a 5-1 over west brom at White Hart Lane. It was on loan striker Emmanuel Adebayor that got spurs going with controlled finish, he then set up Edinson Cavani to continue his rich vain of form. then the two strikers exchanged passes for Adebayor to give spurs a third. James Morrison snatched one back for the Baggies, before Scharners own goal seeled the win, and there was time for Ledley King to add a fifth to keep the in form Spurs winning.

The attitude will not get you anywhere on the forum. This forum is a community not somewhere for you to make enemies. Steve* was not being negative he was simply pointing out the rule that you have failed to follow and the response you have wrote to him is both unfair and blown things extremely out of proportion. Steve* did not mean to attack you just help you so no need to get so defensive.
