Redknapp's family are still is shock and will be feeling numb at this incredibly hard time.

It's been reported that Harry was on his way to meet up with Daniel Levy who he was going to discuss transfer targets with. He was about 5 miles away from where he was going to meet up with the Tottenham chairman when tragedy struck. The police have reported that witness' who saw the incident have told them that two deer had darted in front of Harry Redknapps BMW, This had caused him to swerve out of the way, resulting in his car rolling onto it's side and flipping over several times.

Who Will Tottenham Turn To?

Wednesday 9th June

With Tottenham no longer able to delay the proceedings and day to day running of the club it was business at usual for the north London club. Tottenham who were still shell-shocked about the loss of Redknapp had to look to the future.

Daniel Levy had been locked in discussions about who could possibly take the vacant position as club manager and who could possibly lift the spirits of the broken club and dejected players.

With Harry not even cold in the ground, bookies all over the country had placed odds on who they thought would be the new manager of the club. With a European adventure to take part in and another crack at finishing in the top 4, the club will most definately want someone with a high calibre of managerial experience.

The latest odds on the 5 favouries to take over at Tottenham are as follows...

Mark Hughes 2/1
Steve Mclaren 4/1
Felipe Scolari 8/2
Martin Jol 10/1
Glenn Hoddle 14/1

With the bookies targeting Mark Hughes as the favourie for the managers job at Tottenham it was left to everyone to wait and see who arrives to take control of Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Announce New Manager

Monday 14th June 2010

Today Tottenham unveiled their new manager to the rest of the world. With media outlets suggesting it had come down to a scrap between Martin Jol and Felipe Scolari, journalists had been expecting to interview one of the two men at White Hart Lane where Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy had arranged for an official unveiling to be taken place to show that the club was now trying to move on from the tragic death of Harry Redknapp.

About 50 or so journalists were hustled into a room which had been set up to hold the unveiling and a short press conference afterwards. With Sky Sports and other media bodies all itching to find out about who the new man was at Tottenham. The time finally arrived as Daniel Levy walked into the room with a congregagtion of people, he then went and sat down in one of the two chairs which had been placed at a table in front of the eager journalists.

He spoke about Harry Redknapp for a while stating that his blood will forever run through the clubs veins and that he will ensure that he is never forgotten. He spoke about how hard the last few weeks have been for everyone at the club as they continue to mourn Redknapp and miss his presence at the club. He added how personally he's still in the habit of trying to call Harry on his mobile, only for the realisation to once again set in. He knows how hard it has been for the fans aswell and has thanked them for their support and devotion to both the club and it's late manager.

He brought the conversation on topic and added that his choosing of the new manager was almost as easy as adding two and two together, although he spent along time mulling it over in his head. When he eventually rung up the man he had in mind he said he was greeted with a positive response and that he knew from then he had made the right choice. Levy took a sip from a glass of water on the table and added that when he had thought about this individual he had goosebumps and that he had become very excited about his new managers appointment over the last few days.

He arose from his chair, gave a nod to a member of staff that was stood by a door at the side of the room and welcomed Tottenham Hotspurs new manager...

The journalists held their breath, leaned foward on their chairs and had pens at the ready to jot down the name of the mystery man. Daniel Levy gave a smile and started to applaud.

It took a while for everyone to take in who they had just seen walk into the room, shake Daniel Levy's hand and take a seat next to him at the front of the room. Some rubbed their eyes in disbelief, others gasped as they looked around at each other just to make sure they were all looking at the same man.

That man was none other than Jamie Redknapp!

Jamie Redknapp Follows In His Fathers Footsteps

Jamie Redknapp looked out at the journalists for a while and seemed to take in the occaision. It took a while for anyone to speak as the whole room was held in a shocked aura. Reporters soon piped up with questions and the conference was underway. Jamie answered the question of why he wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and replied stating that he always wanted to go into management at some stage in his life and that after he had time to think about it through the weeks gone by he thought of no other reason not too. He added that by coming to Tottenham he felt he could carry on his fathers legacy and that Daniel Levy and himself are both very keen to preserve the basis of what Harry had done.

Another reported asked Daniel Levy if he thought Jamie was good enough to guide Tottenham and if he was offered the job purely out of sympathy. Levy quizically gazed at the reporter and firmly slammed the question as narrow minded and naive. He went on to say that Jamie had recently already been working closely with his dad and that he was looking like he would become a great manager then. He stated that if he was to give someone a job out of sympathy it certainly wouldn't be the managers job that would be given to that person.

As the conference went on both men spoke about Tottenhams upcoming Season and the Champions League journey the club would be taking. They stated they already had cast an eye over a few transfer targets and that the Transfer budget had been agreed, with both men happy. The conference was short and sweet and eventually wrapped up about half an hour after Jamie was unveiled.

As he walked back out the door he had entered the room from a journalist shouted up to him...

"Make your dad proud Jamie"

This was followed by the journalist giving the young manager a round of applause.

I'm glad you chose jamie redknapp! i had a hunch you would and i feel in any story if redknapp died then jamie would have to take the helm! its an awesome read these two post and loving it already! can't wait for more buddy! Keep This up! :D

Tottenham Make First Summer Signing

Saturday 24th July

Sky_Sports-1.png

News is filtering through to the media outlets that Tottenham Hotspur have today made their first summer signing. Sky Sports have been documenting the news since sunrise but as of yet are unsure as to who Tottenham's new man is.

Jamie Redknapp has been partucuarly coy about his transfer targets and just like his father was, is sure to get people talking about any transfer he makes. Daniel Levy has given the club a hefty transfer warchest of £41,300,000 but on assurances that Jamie Redknapp can get his team firing on all cylinders and fighting for top spot.

Ryan Shawcross Is Tottenham's First Summer Signing

Tottenham manager Jamie Redknapp was overjoyed at having signed the former Stoke and Machester United player and didn't mind stumping up £12,000,000 to get him. It seems Tottenham see Shawcross as a sound investment and a player who can be a star in the future. Shawcross will join a Tottenham team who already have an abundance of talent in his position with the likes of William Gallas, Michael Dawson, Younes Kaboul and the sometimes fit Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.

Stoke Manager Tony Pulis tried to hold onto his commanding centreback but was resigned to losing him when Shawcross himself admitted he wanted to leave Stoke for Tottenham. Before joining Stoke the young defender enjoyed his time climbing his way up the Manchester United ranks but after having played for the reserves for a couple of season's he felt he had to play first team football and soon left.

The 22 year old defender is best remembered for his wild tackle on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey which broke the Gunner's youngsters leg and promptly ended his season. Although Shawcross' tackle was seen as an honest mistake by most people it is an event which the new Tottenham man can't seem to forget as it is often bought up by many fans.

Shawcross has stated that he is looking foward to joining his new team and that the bright lights of European football help lure him away from Stoke. He added that he also felt that playing with World Class players like Gareth Bale and Rafael Van Der Vaart could only improve his game and inspire him to get better as a footballer.
