He'll end up stepping down to like Newcastle.
I just hope for some reason Liverpool managed to grab Young off our hands if the rumour is true.
It's his attitude Stubbs, his wage demands & the fact we have arguably the two best wingers in the Prem; that's why most United fans are against him joining us.
An understandable hope, but isn't Young from around M/cr & rumour has it that the mancs offered him £120k p/wk ? A double damnation. We won't entertain him on that salary. It's a pity Sheikh City didn't come in for him as they'd probably have offered him twice that; strange - they'll usually buy anything that moves in the transfer market on some kind of principle - as long as the asking price is above £20m. Maybe that's it - he's coming too cheaply !
Lets be honest, surely his attitude isn't like that off a certain Wayne Rooney though? Do you not think Sir Alex will sit him down and have a chat about how he is to conduct himself whilst at Utd? Agree that Nani and Valencia are amung the best two wingers in the Premier League but apart from them two, we haven't got any out and out wingers apart from Obertain and Bebe and lets be honest, Young is better than both of them. Ashley Young like Park and Giggs can also play in the middle although I hope that signing him doean't mean SAF doesn't go out and sign a central midfielder this summer. With Young, Utd have the chance to change the formation to the way England have played with Wayne upfront and Ashley just behind him, works very well for England and hopefully can do so for Man Utd. Like I said if he joins, I shall give him my upmost support like I do with every player who wears the red shirt which includes the likes of Gibbo, Bebe etc.
IIRC, Young came on for Rooney to play through the middle in that England game; the same position which Rooney has been fantastic in just playing off Hernandez. While I doubt Ashley would be happy to join us as a back-up player, there's players just as good (if not better) than Young who we could sign as back-up. Martinez has said he wouldn't stand in N'Zogbia's way if a Champions League team came in for him, I'd much rather sign Charles who could cover both flanks aswell. There's Valbuena from Marseille who we've been interested in, Alex Chamberlain...let's not forget we have Cleverley returning & Welbeck can play out-wide too.
I don't see Young joining us as a back up player. He is very direct, has a good delivary and can shoot from long range, he is a good dead ball specialist as well
Roflcopter. Someone hasn't been watching Young recently...
I think recently Young has been playing with the attitude Murone spoke about where as he wants out and not putting 100% in to his performances. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time lol. In my opinion he'd be a great signing but again, it's all a matter of opinions.
He's scored two freekicks in three years. And let me tell you, he never crosses a ball on a freekick unless he has to; no, he usually blazes it right into God's ****.
It's a good job Wayne Rooney has free kick duty then isn't it lol
Did I mention he can't take corners very well either?![]()
Is their anything he can do well? lol
Like i've said a few times, in my opinion he would be a good signing and i'm going to get behind him because he is wearing the Manchester United shirt.
If he gets his act together, he's one of the best and crucially most complete wingers in the Prem. Does that count?
