I feel like I've answered this about 300 times in this thread already. If you click my nickname and choose "View Forum Posts" you'll find it all very easy. But for the lazy ones, again ...
BASIC
- I use the Original 433 tactic, no changes.
- Team Training (preseason): Team Cohesion (very high) - 50% (rest before and after match) - Tactic
- Team Training (during season): Team Cohesion (average) - 50% (rest after match) - Attacking Movement (can change team cohesion to balanced for 2nd half of season, but mostly I just leave it)
- Individual Training: Just what ever position the player is going to play on "hard"
- Left fullback take right corner, right fullback take left corner. This assumes that your left back actually use his left foot and vice versa.
MATCH STUFF
Pre-match
- Assistant do OIs
- Assistant do pre-match team talk
- Make absolutely sure the corner takers are set, it's 1+ goal a match on average.
Half time
- Make assistant redo OIs
- Winning > pleased (calm)
- Not winning > not happy (assertive)
2nd half start
- In-game team talk: "Concentrate" or Show some passion" (assertive)
60-70' minutes in
- Make assistant redo OIs
- In-game team talk: "Show some passion" or "Concentrate" (assertive) depending on how I feel we're doing.
Full time
- Winning > pleased (calm)
- Not winning > not happy (assertive)
OTHER STUFF:
- Pre-season make 10+ friendlies at home against the worst teams I can possibly find.
- Get assistant with as high Motivation and Tactical knowledge as possible. Have him do all interviews as well as OIs. If I can't have both I pick high motivation and find a coach with high tactical knowledge to do OIs instead (you can pick who do them during matches).
- Get the best possible coaches you can get. I always look for 10+ motivating, determination and discipline. And then just 15+ of what ever they are going to coach (i.e. Fitness, Goal keeping, attacking, etc).
- Train strikers to have "places shots" and "play 1-2s" (not sure it's important though).
- Get at least 1 full back with 15+ long throws, train him to use "flat bullet throw" if he don't have it already and have him do throw-ins.
- Defense seem better if you use a left footed DLC and right footed DRC. I actually conceded much less with Mathieu + Pique than Hummels + Pique. I also tend to use left foot on left side in midfield and vice versa. I'm not sure what's best for the wide strikers, I've had great success using both right and left footed ones on both sides.
- I also like my central defenders to be good in the air rather than fast, if I have to choose.
- I try to get good all round central midfielders with 10+ in most attributes instead of 15+ in some. Work rate, team work, determination, long shots being the most important.
- I'd rather not have any player with low determination. You can increase determination through tutoring though.
- I don't watch matches, only use "commentary".
Most of this is just stuff I do no matter what tactic I use though and it's probably not optimal at all.
