Tractor boys wheel's pop after they're stung by Watford

watfordvsipswich.jpg

Watford are certainly the underdogs in this game against a strong Ipswich side.

In a game where out of form Watford were expected to continue their bad form, they turned this game on it's head after just 26 minutes when Danny Graham scored his 2nd goal of the season to give Watford a goal that was certainly against the run of play.

Ipswich came out a different side after half time, and were level just 1 minute into the second half after winger Carlos Edwards scored a brilliant volley from the edge of the year, which even had manager Roy Keane smiling.

But that smile was wiped away shortly after, when Tom Cleverley also scored his 2nd goal of the season, scoring a curling effort from the edge of the area which had opposition supporters applauding. A good win for Max King's side, but Ipswich must improve.

Max King said:
I thought we showed great spirit today, we kept the ball well in the first half and frustrated them, and Roy Keane had clearly given them a good talking to at half time as they came out a different side and pegged us back to 1-1 quickly, but the determination of our team to get back in the lead won it for us today, and I'm delighted.

Roy Keane said:
Disappointed, just didn't think we showed up at all in the first half, no motivation, no flair, just nothing good about us in the first half. Second half was different, but still not good enough to deserve anything from this game, I'm not happy.

Fulham shocked by ruthless Watford in the Cup

Shocked - Hodgson can't bare to watch as his side are dismantled piece by piece by Watford

Fulham were shocked this afternoon by a savage Watford team looking to really dig their teeth into this competition and not let go. The match started slowly, and Fulham slowly began to control the game, but failed to score in the first 45 minutes which certainly came back to haunt them.

Second half Watford came out with a point to prove, and on the 51st minute Paulo Henrique scored for Watford to shock the Fulham fans and sending the Watford fans crazy. Watford had to defend for a large period of time, and with Watford fans running out of nails to bite on, up came Jay Demerit for a corner to head home a second for Watford in the 88th minute to secure a classic cup knockout, with the underdog's winning 2-0.

Roy Hodgson said:
Well I honestly don't quite know what to say apart from well done to Watford, they outplayed us and were the better team and I hope they go far in this competition. Who knows, might meet them in the Premier league next season if they continue like that and I sincerely hope so.

Max King said:
I'm ecstatic after this result, completely ecstatic. We worked hard all game and definitely deserved it in the 2nd half, although Fulham were unlucky in the 1st half and did show why they're in the Premier league, but it's such a good feeling to know you've just beaten a great manager like Roy Hodgson.

Bore draw at Vicarage Road

watfordteamsurroundingr.jpg

Huddle - Possibly the most entertaining part of an awful match.

Watford won't of been too disappointed with a point against 6th place Bristol City in a 0-0 draw, although they may have been bored out of their skulls after a dreadful match for both sets of fans and certainly neutrals. Nothing major to report here, with 1 or 2 scuffles only the entertaining part of the game.

Gary Johnson said:
There are a football game out there? I thought it was a war, awful game, hopefully won't remember it for too long. Good point nevertheless, and pleased with the result.

Max King said:
Good result and I'll take points however they come in this division. I thought we kept the ball well and frustrated them like we planned, and I was pleased with the game plan, but of course our plan wasn't to make the game that awful.

Quality finishing by Watford proves the difference

watfordvsdoncaster.jpg

In form Watford were clear favourites here against troubled 23rd placed Doncaster.

Doncaster will of felt hard done by after Watford ran out 2-0 winners after taking their chances in a game that could of gone either way. Watford shortly went ahead after Adrian Mariappa headed home a Tom Cleverley corner to give Watford an early lead in the 14th minute, and Doncaster pressured Watford for the rest of the half but got no reward and it was 1-0 to Watford at half time.

The second half was all Doncaster after Lloyd Doyley scored from a corner in the 55th minute for Watford which was much like Mariappa's goal, and that sealed the win for Watford even though Doncaster piled on the pressure for 30 minutes, and failed to score once.

Max King said:
Extremely pleased with the end result and if we play like this for the rest of the season I firmly believe a top half finish is possible without concern. It was good to see two defenders scoring from us, it gives you confidence that other players will contribute with goals apart from the regulars which is always a bonus.

Sean O'Driscoll said:
We really should of been better out there today and deserved nothing with our poor finishing, so it was a fair result if I'm honest. We need to get out of this slump and fast, we're sitting 23rd in the table and it will get even worse if we don't pull our finger out and do something about it!

Screenshot of the league table, and once again if anything else is wanted just say. :)

More updates tomorrow guys (K)

Cheers and I'd say just getting the goal needed is the problem really, only been pulled back once in the last minute by Swansea so I think if we start scoring more we'll be fine. :)

Again a very good update, I told you would beat Ipswich.... Believe!

Well done Max. Good results. the layout

Get Matt Ritchie, hes god
Nah he's alright in league 2/league 1 but doubt he'd cut it in the Championship and isn't really better or as good as what I've got, cheers for the suggestion though. :)

Cheers pal. ^^)

I'm loving the updates Max, and the layout? Is the 2nd best on the site I think, It's still not as good as that guy's Lazio story, but I'm sure if you added some more stuff to it? It'd be better.

Keep it up Maxwell.

Thanks Danny ^^) I'll try and improve the layout a bit more, just need some ideas. :)

Random pictures of Charlie Austin everywhere? ;)

Speaking of Austin, he has been in good form if you want to take a look. :P
