in the 58th minute an error from full back jon harley jumping under the ball allowed steven gerrard to score a thumping header.

Watford held west brom to a draw on a sunny saturday afternoon after a fine performance by onur kaya saw them play a lot better in the second half.
An error from chris basham allowed slovenia captain robert koren to finsh off with a well placed shot into the top corner.
Watford were the much better side in the second half and there dominace finally payed off when onur kaya found a gap in the baggies defence to score a real poachers effort from 12 yards.
Manager Josh Thomas Spoke to Jeff Stelling And The Team After And Said " i am pleased with the way we have been performing this year and hopefully more fans will turn out next week at vicarage road and spur the team on, thanks to you guys for giving us extra publicity."

Watford gained a suprise victory against 2nd placed preston north end on a fine autumn afternoon at vicarage road.
Adrian Mariappa got watford of to a flyer by scored a header straight from a corner after just 3 mins. Expierenced striker Heidar Helguson doubled watfords lead with another header only 7 mins into the game.
Preston full back Billy Jones then pulled one back for the away team on 26 mins with a well placed shot from close range.
Watfords top goalscorer jonathan cristaldo then got his tally up to 11 goals in 20 games straight after the half time interval with a good run through the defence and a very good finsh into the corner.
Chris Brown then grabbed a consolation for preston in the 91st minute with a thumping header.
Thomas Said after the game " im delighted with the way the lads coped with the pressure today against a good preston side and now were up to 4th."

Striker danny graham gave watford the lead with a fine placed shot after just 18 minutes. winger donal mcdermott the equalised for scunthorpe in the 27th minute with a powerful effort.
Midfielder onur kaya then put the home side infront on the 29th minute with a placed shot from 18 yards out. Cristaldo then scored on the 39th minute with a fine break through the heart of the scunny defence and extede watfords lead.
Midfielder don cowie then scored a fine free kick from 30 yards out to complete the rout.
Thomas said " it was a good perfomance, the fans were excellent again and hopefully this form can keep going to christmas."

Watford have today announced the signing of dutch attacking midfielder sander duits from fc omniworld for 16k. Duits has signed a 3 year contract on a wage of 2,900 a week.
duits said " i am happy at the chance of a fresh start, and moving to such a great club."

cristaldo got watford of to a flyer by netting his first goal with a placed shot on 3 minutes. helguson then doubled watford's lead with a powerful effort on 6 minutes.
Cristaldo then added watfords 3rd and his 2nd, by scoring on the 18th minute with a powerful effort from 12 yards out. Cristaldo then completed his hat-trick after only 20 minutes by scoring a placed shot after breaking the pool defensive line. Cristaldo then added his 4th and with that scored the most goals in a game of anyone this season in the league, by scoring another placed shot following good play by the watford midfield.
Danny Coid then added a consolation in what was a bad day for blackpool with a powerfull header from 6 yards.

cristaldo got watford of to a flyer by netting his first goal with a placed shot on 3 minutes. helguson then doubled watford's lead with a powerful effort on 6 minutes.
Cristaldo then added watfords 3rd and his 2nd, by scoring on the 18th minute with a powerful effort from 12 yards out. Cristaldo then completed his hat-trick after only 20 minutes by scoring a placed shot after breaking the pool defensive line. Cristaldo then added his 4th and with that scored the most goals in a game of anyone this season in the league, by scoring another placed shot following good play by the watford midfield.
Danny Coid then added a consolation in what was a bad day for blackpool with a powerfull header from 6 yards.

Watford left oakwell frustarted after drawing 1-1 with barnsley.
centre back o'neil thompson scored on the 22nd minute with a good header from just inside the 6 yard box. barnsley's jesus olmo was then sent off on 31 minutes for a proffesional foul just outside the box when cristaldo was one on one.
midifleder sander duits then equalised for watford with his first goal from the resulting free kick.
Assistant Sean Dyche said " it was a decent performance and weve maintained are position."
