We Are Tottenham, SUPER TOTTENHAM!

I will be following as I followed your last Tottenham one, good luck pal

Moussa Sissoko should do well alongside Palacios :)
5th is very respectable aswell

I had a choice between 2 players ive never had ... Sissoko for £15m or Neymar for £19m and because Spurs are a little light in the central midfield area i got Moussa but he is certainly worth every penny, Outstanding player, He really is. Ive finally shook off the 2nd season syndrome ive had on my previous games so things are looking up!

Overall manager Chris Saunt will be delighted with October. It got underway against Wolves and a 1-0 win after a Peter Crouch sub appearance goal again. Then was the more difficult task against Aston Villa but Tottenham shone through winning the game easily by 2 goals to 0. Jermain Defoe is growing into his lone striker role scoring 2 goals. Next was FC Timisoara, they had already drew 4-4 with Leverkusen and they were 2-0 up at half time but a telling off at half time from Chris Saunt and the Spurs came flying back eventually equalising through Luka Modric after Niko Kranjcar had got Tottenham back into the game. The League Cup followed away at Stoke City, Tottenham lost 2-1 away in the League to Stoke last season but turned it around this time with a 2-1 win. Modric put Spurs infront but Stoke came back to equalise through former Spurs player Matthew Etherington. The game looked to be going into extra time but on came Robbie Keane to save the day and put Spurs in the quarter finals against Sheff Utd. Spurs had a tough home match against fierce rivals Chelsea next, Spurs put in a real effort in this one to get a winner but were stunned in the 3rd minute of added time when Didier Drogba won the points for Chelsea.

Player of the Month - Angel Di Maria
Since Chris Saunt has gave Angel Di Maria a run in the side Di Maria has really settled in now at White Hart Lane. With stability in midfield from Sissoko and Palacios or Huddlestone it allows the more creative Di Maria and Modric to break foward more and the results speak for themselves, Should Spurs win their games in hand, They would be challenging for top spot.

November 2010

Europa League - Group Stage
Groningen 1 - 1 Tottenham
(Aaron Lennon)
Aaron Lennon was on target as Spurs draw yet again in the Europa League.

Premier League
Arsenal 2 - 2 Tottenham
(Defoe 2)
Tottenham took a 1-0 lead in this arch rival bloodmatch between the two north London clubs. Arsenal came back and eventually went 2-1 up until late on when Jermain Defoe dramatically equalised for his 2nd of the game and 10th of the season.

Premier League
Everton 5 - 2 Tottenham
(Crouch, Sissoko)
An all round poor show from Spurs with a catalogue of errors at the back mainly caused by Gomes in goal. He had a poor game so the defenders did well to keep it at 5 goals.

Premier League
Tottenham 1 - 3 Man City
(Dawson)
Tottenham wasted a 1-0 half time lead as Tevez, Robinho and Adebayor all dug in in the second half. A massive game but Tottenham couldnt get a massive win.

Premier League
Newcastle 1 - 3 Tottenham
(Defoe, Palacios, Beckham)
After just 3 minutes Newcastle's Xisco bundled in a lead but Spurs hit back strong to win comfortably as David Beckham scores his first competitive goal with a trademark free-kick.

Premier League
Ipswich Town 0 - 2 Tottenham
(Di Maria, Defoe)
A good win for Spurs. Di Maria was picking out lovely passes all game from the left wing and began the scoring before Jermain Defoe made it 2-0 with 20 minutes to go.

Premier League
Tottenham 1 - 2 Liverpool
(Defoe)
Another tough home match, another tough home match lost. After 2 wins on the spin Spurs fans expected more and they looked like they wouldnt be dissapointed as they went in 1-0 up at the break. Kuyt scored not long into the second half and Babel scored the winner as Spurs drop vital points in the table.

FA Cup 3rd Round Draw
Peterborough v Tottenham

The loss against Chelsea last month and now losses against Everton, Man City and Liverpool + a draw at Arsenal means Tottenham are resting completely on the games in hand to move them up the league but only a few places. Results need to pick up now and through December the fixture list is a lot kinder to them in order to do so. Now is the time to strike form through a busy month.

Player of the Month - Jermain Defoe
Jermain has been quietly scoring goals all season without ever really excelling. Defoe is working hard to improve which is why Chris Saunt says Jermain is the Player of the Month. Previously he has lost confidence and composure in order to score really good chances but this month has been an improvement.

December 2010

Europa League - Group Stage
Tottenham 2 - 0 Leverkusen
(Lennon, Defoe)
A brilliant win in europe as Leverkusen possess a lot of quality and to get a clean sheet is outstanding. Exciting winger Aaron Lennon scored the first and Jermain Defoe added a second to confirm Spurs' qualification through the group stage

League Cup Semi-Final Draw
Tottenham/Sheff Utd v Arsenal

Premier League
West Brom 1 - 1 Tottenham
(Kranjcar)
Defoe missed a spot kick in the first half and a shock was on as Roman Bednar scored just before half time. Tottenham came out fighting but could only manage a draw through Niko Kranjcar. Probably as much as either side deserved.

League Cup Quarter-Final
Tottenham 2 - 0 Sheff Utd
(Modric, Keane)
Spurs ensure a double legged tie against Arsenal in the Semi-Final. Last time Spurs played Arsenal in the Semi-Final of the league cup they won and went on to win the competition against Chelsea in 2008.

Premier League
Tottenham 1 - 1 West Ham
(Modric)
Spurs yet again didnt really deserve anything more from todays game than just a point. And a point they got when Luka Modric scored in the second half.

Europa League - Group Stage
Tottenham 1 - 0 Timisoara
(Lukaku)
A rotated side which saw Verratti, Kranjcar and Lukaku all start beat the impressive Timisoara by a goal to nil. Romelu Lukaku scored the goal and Spurs make sure they qualify top of Group B.

Europa League 1st/2nd Knock-Out Round Draw
Tottenham v Fenerbahce
Tottenham/Fenerbahce v Man City/HSV

Premier League
Stoke 0 - 1 Tottenham
(Bale)
Gareth Bale arrowed in a free-kick inside 2 minutes to give Tottenham the lead. Spurs defended very very well against a barrage of throw-ins and set pieces from Stoke and made sure of 3 points.

Premier League
Tottenham 1 - 0 Bolton
(Di Maria (Pen))
Another fantastic defensive display secures 3 vital points. With a break from all cup competitions, Attention is all on the League campaign and winning will surely boost morale.

Premier League
Tottenham 3 - 1 Burnley
(Defoe 3)
It was the Jermain Defoe show at White Hart Lane as he smashed in a 26 minute hat-trick. Tottenham were poor in the second half and conceded a goal but Burnley never really looked like creating enough chances to get back in the game.

Premier League
Tottenham 2 - 0 Hull
(Defoe, Di Maria)
The last game of 2010 was a win at The Lane. Brilliance of Di Maria was delightful through the match but it was Defoe who got the scoring started and Di Maria got a second. Next is Peterborough in the FA Cup 3rd Round at London Road.

An excellent show in December. Much the same as last season's December. Morale is high and Performances are impressive. Everyone is really gelling together very well. 1 match in hand which is a big one against Man Utd. Tottenham have turned it round after a dismal November. A very good reaction. Saunt has been presented with a Manager of the Month award, His 2nd award after the MOTM award last March.

Player of the Month - Jermain Defoe
Jermain Defoe for a second month in a row is the Player of the Month chosen by Chris Saunt. With 5 goals in 7 games he is showing a clincal edge which hasnt been seen because of Peter Crouch last season but this year he has really done well to keep hold of his lone striker place.

Jonothan Woodgate - Liverpool - £3m (JAN 1st)

Staff In
Furio Valcareggi (Scout) - Unat. - Free (26th)

FA Cup 3rd Round
Peterborough 0 - 2 Tottenham
(Bassong, Bale)
Saunt will be delighted to avoid a shock as Bristol City knocked them out at this stage last season. Seb Bassong opened the scoring and a tremendous Gareth Bale free-kick doubled Spurs' lead and they never looked back. Wilson Palacios got a sending off in the match.

FA Cup 4th Round Draw
Tottenham v Hull

League Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg
Tottenham 0 - 1 Arsenal
Dissapointed not to get more from the game and that away goal for Arsenal will be massive in this tie. Spurs now need 2 to go through to the final.

Premier League
Tottenham 0 - 0 Man Utd
Another goal less appearance from the Lilywhites but a good result never the less.

Premier League
Man Utd 1 - 0 Tottenham
3 games in a row now without a goal. A late Carrick penalty won the match for United.

Premier League
Sunderland 1 - 0 Tottenham
An early goal couldnt be over turned by Spurs as their poor run continues.

League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg
Arsenal 2 - 0 Tottenham
(Arsenal win 3-0 on Agg)
Really dissapointed to have exited the competition just before the final and another loss against arch rivals Arsenal. The goal less run continued, The 5 man midfield and lone striker Defoe are starting to struggle to create chances. 5 Games in a row without scoring is a new record.

FA Cup 4th Round
Tottenham 2 - 0 Hull
(Keane, Verratti)
GOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL! Spurs finally score to end the drought. Gareth Bale got sent off but Robbie Keane and Marco Verratti looked impressive and both scored goals.

FA Cup 5th Round Draw
Totteham v Burnley

Premier League
Aston Villa 0 - 0 Tottenham
Another goal less display must be really frustating Spurs manager Chris Saunt but another clean sheet is promising in what is becoming a strong back line.

Premier League
Tottenham 1 - 2 Everton
(Modric)
This was a massive game for Spurs as Everton are the club they need to leap frog in the table to start getting back on track for the Champions League but a dissapointing defeat after Luka Modric gave Tottenham the lead.

Goal less runs at Spurs are some what of a big suprise dispite playing difficult opponents. Big losses in the League Cup and Premier League have set Tottenham back by several points but they need to react now in a positive way after they kept hold onto their big players in January. Real Madrid were interested in Luka Modric with Manuele Pelegrini watching one of his matches against Everton where he scored.

Player of the Month - Gomes
Gomes' performances have really improved in the last couple of months, 4 clean sheets this month but after a goal drought upfront it wasnt easy to keep every game at 0-0 although he managed it on 2 occasions. He didnt have alot to do in the FA Cup fixtures against lower league opposition but he kept concentrated and kept them at bay.

Febuary 2011

Premier League
West Ham 1 - 1 Tottenham
(Modric)
Not the best of derby games as the Hammers entertain Spurs. Both sides goals came in the first half but neither side looked like getting a winner.

Premier League
Tottenham 0 - 0 Wigan
A drab 0-0 encounter today at White Hart Lane. Spurs looked the most likely of the two sides to get a winner but it never came and both sides share the points.

FA Cup 5th Round
Tottenham 3 - 0 Burnley
(Modric, Sissoko, Defoe)
The FA Cup seems to bring out the best in Spurs this season. They are yet to concede a goal in the competition and performances look good.

FA Cup 6th Round Draw
Tottenham v Ipswich

Europa League - 1st Knock-Out Round - 1st Leg
Fenerbahce 0 - 2 Tottenham
(Verratti, Defoe)
An outstanding performance in Turkey. Fenerbahce were completely out played and Spurs looked like scoring 4 or 5 but had to settle for just 2. Magnicence through out from Marco Verratti has he came in for the rested Luka Modric. He scored the first goal and Jermain Defoe also got his 20th of the season.

Premier League
Tottenham 2 - 0 Ipswich
(Crouch 2)
Peter Crouch was the match winner for Spurs. He didnt come on until the second half but he showed his eye for goal, scoring 2 goals.

Europa League - 1st Knock-Out Round - 2nd Leg
Tottenham 4 - 0 Fenerbahce
(Spurs win 6-0 on Agg)
(Modric, Crouch 2, Bekir o.g.)
Quite simply the performance on the season so far. Tottenham could have had the scoring in double figures. Luka Modric was key, Peter Crouch grabbed 2 goals and forced an own goal for the 4th Spurs goal. Tottenham will now play Manchester City in the 2nd Knock-Out Round.

Premier League
Chelsea 1 - 0 Tottenham
Spurs manager Chris Saunt was angered as his team lost to fierce rivals Chelsea by sayin "Its so frustating losing the big games and i can only apoligize to the fans for what they had to watch out there".

Tottenham may have lost to Chelsea in a big Premier League game but the positives this month will give Spurs great hope for the remainder of the season. Qualification in the FA Cup and Europa League. Due to the amount of cup success Spurs have had this season many Spurs players have played 40+ games so far. A major factor in how Tottenham will finish the season will be how well the second choice players perform when called upon.

Player of the Month - Sebastian Prodl
What a bit of deadline day business for Chris Saunt after purchasing Sebastian Prodl for just £1.5m from Werder Bremen. With Bassong being out Prodl has come in and has really added something to the defence. Spurs have got 5 clean sheets this month which really proves Prodl's impact. Some may argue that the problem before was attacking but with Defoe now on 20 goals and Modric on 13 goals, The hole team seems to have come together.

What formation do you play because if you play one up top then thats where your going wrong mate but i hope you do well because i am a tottenham fan through and through

Yeah most of this 2nd season ive been 4-5-1/4-3-3, iv changed back to 4-4-2 for a West Brom game and won but then the game after in the FA Cup Semi-Final with Wolves i really annoyingly lost 3-1 :@:@:@:@:@ but then beat them in a Prem game after and beat Newcastle.

This happend in April 2011, I'll put up March 2011 in a moment but havnt finished April 2011 yet. Its going to be a year of dissapointment.

Its hard not to put swear words in how i feel about FM this year. I cant do it for nothing, In previous years ive snapped the disks in frustration lol. Im so **** at it, I cant win anything!
2007 i was really good, winning everything possible in a 10 year Tottenham stay.
2008 my most successful time was taking Leicester into the UEFA Cup in about a 6-8 years stay.
2009 i didnt have because my computer didnt meet spec so i brought a new computer...
2010 ive been to a League Cup final, lost to Man City ... Thats my best so far

March 2011

Premier League
Fulham 3 - 1 Tottenham
(Crouch)
Absolute shambles, The league finish this season is going to be poor

FA Cup 6th Round
Tottenham 3 - 0 Ipswich
(Beckham, Bentley 2)
Tottenham's best chance for silverware will be either in the FA Cup or Europa League and after this result you would back them seeing the draw for the Semi-Finals

FA Cup Semi-Final Draw
Wolves/Fulham v Tottenham

Europa League - 2nd Knock-Out Round - 1st Leg
Tottenham 1 - 1 Man City
(Beckham)
Not a bad draw but with the away goal, Man City will be big favourites going into the 2nd leg.

Premier League
Tottenham 0 - 0 Arsenal
A bore draw against arch rivals Arsenal. Spurs in big games simply do not score which is a massive problem.

Europa League - 2nd Knock-Out Round - 2nd Leg
Man City 2 - 1 Tottenham
(Man City win 3-2 on Agg)
(Verratti)
Angry Chris Saunt commented after todays game saying "That was a poor show, This was a fantastic opportunity to proceed futher in this competition and yet big game syndrome pops up again. Im not going to take this, Players will be dropped"

Premier League
Man City 5 - 2 Tottenham
(Keane 2)
Spurs were 4-0 down at Half-Time and it was nothing less than they duly deserved. Man City are the team to look up to for Tottenham. City lead the Premier League and are firing on all fronts in the Europa League, Tottenham seem to have taken a big step backwards this year.

A completely dreadful end to March. Players look tired and performances are off. A trilogy of dissapointments against Manchester City and a derby game where Spurs didnt look like they had the know how to win the game when it was there for the taking against Arsenal. Roy Hodgson's side started the misery at the begining of the month with a 3-1 thumping. The only upside came in the FA Cup to Ipswich but Tottenham couldnt replicate that type of performance against more competitive opponents.

Player of the Month - David Bentley
With Aaron Lennon misperforming and then getting injured, David Bentley came in to do a good job in his adbsence. David Beckham also came in to rather a good job in central midfield but this months award goes to Bentley got the dazzling performance in the FA Cup and consistency on the right wing.

Nice story mate. Like the format. Tough luck with your recent results.
Best of luck!

Cheers mate, Ive started downloading some tactics to help me now. So with a few tweaks and a top class striker ... next season should be glourious ... i hope.

April 2011

Premier League
Tottenham 2 - 0 West Brom
(Keane 1+(1 Pen))
Finally a win after a poor March. Robbie Keane added to his 2 goals at Man City with another 2 goals today.

FA Cup Semi-Final
Wolves 3 - 1 Tottenham
(Keane)
A humiliating defeat which could have put Spurs in their first cup final under manager Chris Saunt. Robbie Keane continued his goal scoring run to get Spurs back in the match at 2-1 but the game drew to an end and Tottenham were out of the FA Cup.

Premier League
Wolves 1 - 2 Tottenham
(Keane, Crouch)
Payback for the heart-breaking defeat in the FA Cup. Robbie Keane scored yet another goal but later went off injured and Peter Crouch made it 2-0 before Wolves grabbed a late goal. Prodl got sent off also.

Premier League
Tottenham 2 - 0 Newcastle
(Lennon, Modric)
It was the 100th game in charge for Spurs boss Chris Saunt and also a 50th win against a struggling Newcastle side. Aaron Lennon and Luka Modric bagged goals for a 2-0 solid win.

Premier League
Liverpool 2 - 0 Tottenham
Spurs manager adopted new tactics (4-4-2 Fluid Standard FM-BASE) and it seemed to spark a decent game. The North Londonders didnt score but came close on a number of ocassions and should they have scored first it could have been a different story.

Premier League
Bolton 0 - 2 Tottenham
(Beckham, Bale)
Gareth Bale and Moussa Sissoko are in line for Young Player of the Season this year and they performed brilliantly today. Bale scored a jem of a free-kick and David Beckham scored an unlikely header! for a 2-0 comfortable victory.

A good revival in league form for Tottenham but a really frustating loss against Wolves in the FA Cup. Chris Saunt won Manager of the Month for April, His 3rd Manager of the Month accolade in his young career. Spurs now realistically need to aim to keep 7th place winning the last 2 games against Stoke and Burnley.

Player of the Month - Robbie Keane
Robbie Keane will miss the rest of the season after his injury against Liverpool but he did play 4 of the 6 games this month and scored 4 goals. He has been really reliable upfront and a breath of fresh air to see an on form striker after a couple of cold months during 2011. Top class Robbie Keane.
