Great opening, a bit distasteful but certainly has caused a stir and making people read. Good luck maybe you could repeat the invincibles achievement in Wenger's honour ?

That's certainly a challenge, mate, but I'll go for it.

Really like this story. Shocking start, but certainly grabbed mine and a lot of other people's attention.

Been following from the start mate and as an arsenal fan I just want to say keep uo the good work :D

Excellent. :)

Should be another update up sometime tonight.

Graham and co. announce new kits

Another positive for Arsenal Football Club is the arrival of their brand spanking new kits for the 2009/10 season. As promised, the sponsor on the shirts is The Wenger Foundation in honour to the Arsenal Legend.

"I'm delighted to see the new kits have arrived for this season, and I am sure that the players will be playing for Arsene when they pull on these brilliant shirts.

I'd like to thank our provider of these shirts, who likes to be known as "Dec", for the high quality of service he provided.

There is also a third shirt, dedicated not only to Arsene Wenger but to Steven Hawking, a life long Arsenal fan.

Let this be an inspiration to the players; yet another reason to fight it out for the title."

The diary of George Graham

13th September 2010 vs West Brom
Woke up today in a brilliant mood, and looking at the team's performance; I know now why I did. We played wonderfully. Everyone was on from, and we were back to our old ways, beautiful football is back to the Emirates. Particularly please with Andrey; he was everywhere today. Cesc and Robin were both quality and everyone else chipped in. A brilliant performance. Andrey got two and Cesc and Robin got one each to make it 4-0 on the day. I love it.

16th September 2010 vs Valencia
The lads were still fairly tired from the Baggies game, so I set out mainly a seconds lineup. Was hoping the lads would sneak a draw but they didn't; they managed to win! Yet another brilliant performance and the squad as a whole is certainly building rather than just the first team.

The team vs Valencia:

Benaglio
Eboue - Djourou - Vermaelen - Gibbs
Diarra
Fabregas - Wilshere
Walcott* - Nasri*
Chamakh

*Playing out wide.

I'm delighted that the lads pulled off a 2-0 win against such a good team with many of our top players rested. Walcott and Chamakh with the goals, and we would've won by more had Alex Song not missed a penalty in the 90th minute.

19th September 2010 vs Fulham
What a strange game. On the stroke of half time, Benaglio put one into his own net. I was gutted for him, it was never his fault. After the standard "you can win this" team-talk, the lads went out and played alot better. We pushed and pushed and eventually Joey Cole got his first of the season. Delighted for the lad. We kept pushing and dominated the game. Then, Diaby popped up from 35-yards and the rest is history.

What does everyone think of that update? Decent? Or shall I just stick to web articles?

What does everyone reckon? Stick to web articles or do that sort of thing every once in a while?

mix it up a bit mate, great story btw, love the arsene/hawking kit it made me laugh haha

Haha, cheers, and alright, I'll mix it up.

What do you reckon about length of the updates? Is 3 games enough?

I'd suggest always keeping the layout the same personally. And you shouldn't update too often. Maybe once every month or two?

Unfortunate week with Gunners Hammered

As September draws to a close, who knows as to how Graham feels. They've had a brilliant performance, and a shocker. A real attractive spectacle and a bore-fest. Both in the same week.

Man City 1 - 0 Arsenal (League Cup)

Graham's admitted the lads were unfortunate to face City so early on, in the 3rd Round. And it went right to the 115th before Gareth Barry managed to score his scrappy goal. It was an encouraging performance from the Gunners, but Graham'll want to win these matches and that's his first loss as Arsenal boss.

"Garh. I'm not happy that we've lost to the old "buy the cup" team. We're the better side, more talented players, but they were better on the day. They'll be delighted with a win over us, they'll all get 100k more each, I imagine. But I guess that's pocket change to them."

West Ham 2 - 1 Arsenal

Not a good day for Arsenal. Not only did they go 1-0 up through Andrey Arshavin and manage to lose their lead, but they did it to fellow Londoners and rivals West Ham United. Graham was livid with the lads after the game.

westham21arsenal.png

A diagram showing Cesc Fabregas was the only meaningful playmaker in the game against West Ham.

"That wasn't an Arsenal side; that was a monstrousity. My 9-year old daughter could have player better and put more effort in than those guys out there. There'll be some serious talks in training and I want a performance next match. And I will get it."

Dynamo Kiev 1 - 5 Arsenal

All credit to Graham, he got his result. Andrey Arshavin was phenomenal today, destroyed Kiev from the inside out. Arsenal look so superior in Europe than they do in domestic competitions; if they continue like this in the Champions League, they could go far.

dynamokiev15arsenalcl.png

"A lot, lot better. Andrey was outstanding today, got himself two goals and Mr. Nelson Valdez his first goal for the club. He's becoming one of the best players in the world, and he's great to have at the club. Brilliant in Europe again; now we need to carry this on after a dismal week. Particularly happy to get this win with no Cesc in the team; it's certainly a lift."

Next update will be a monthly one. What does everyone think about a small review and then the manager's thoughts along with a picture of some sort, for every match? Should I carry on with it, or will it be too much if it is like that with 7 matches in one update?

Unlucky with the defeats mate. Must admit I like the web articles and 3 game updates are good. Benaglio is a top class keeper, take it from me, I signed him for the same team and he went on to win every major honour in the game with me, including the european goalkeeper of the year!

October: Injuries, injuries, injuries.

As George Graham's walk (or should we say hobble) on, a very mixed month for the Gunners, yet again. The struggle for consistency goes on but Graham sees pleased with the way the squad is building.

Man City 1 - 1 Arsenal

van Persie celebrates his last minute equaliser

"I'm not happy but I'm glad we got a point, yet again Robin bangs one in from 20-yards. That lad has talent."

Arsenal 2 - 0 Stoke

"Standard win against a worse team; nothing special here."

Arsenal 1 - 1 Newcastle

The Arsenal injury table

"Of course I'm annoyed. We could have beaten them, had luck not been on their side. Although I am delighted with a draw. We've got 10 players out and we still don't lose, I am very happy with that. The squad has good depth."

Arsenal 2 - 0 Sparta Prague

arsenal20spartaprague.png

"We're pretty much through in Europe, which I am delighted with. Especially with all the injuries, we've done really well. A good squad performance tonight. Aaron Ramsey played very well."

Arsenal 1 - 2 Everton

arsenal12everton.png

"Really, really, really, really not our day today. Missed penalty, more injuries, hitting the post, the crossbar, deflected goals. No, not our day."

Birmingham 0 - 3 Arsenal

birmingham03arsenal.png

"I think we were alot better today. We're such an incosistent side, and that is our main issue. The day we solve that is the day we go unbeaten."

I am mate :) I will comment after next update :)

Yep. Real unlcky with the injuries mate. Really unlucky. Some good results there, but some God awful ones too. Keep it going. Enjoying reading it :)

Aha, excellent. Seems like I'm doing it for no reason. I'm actually unable to get to the computer from tomorrow until Wednesday next week, so there won't be any updates until Thursday at the earliest, I imagine.

I'll get one up tonight though, I think.

:O, that's annoying, really enjoying this. Looking forward to the next update, looks like you need to improve team talks, tell particular players you expect better or expect performances. Complacency seems to be an issue, as well as away games.. maybe look at your keeper and defence as a whole, and see where the goals conceded are coming from!

Thanks alot. Love positive comments, really spurs you on.

Yeah, I've noticed we always seem to concede first. Once I've got a tad more transfer money next season, and a few younguns have developed, my Arsenal side will start to shine through.
