hi, first post here. needing help playing against quick teams.
I am in my second season and i play as man utd which SHOULD be free of any major problems, my team tends to hammer lower teams every game by 3,4,5 goals. the only real problem which is costing me trophies is the fact my team can't play against quick teams who have lots of pace and pass the ball quickly and particularly through the middle.
I play teams such as arsenal and man city and lose by 4 or 5-0 every time because they just pass it through the middle of my defence and constantly get clear of my backline by just running past them.

I play a flat 4-4-2 formation with 2 centre mids and 2 wingers. my 2 strikers up front are set as complete forwards.
my first team is this:
GK: van der Sar
RB: Rafael (defend)
CB: Kjaer (defend)
CB: Vidic (defend)
LB: Fabio (defend)
RW: Nani (support)
CM: Fletcher (support/box to box)
CM: Carrick (support)
LW: Mata (attack)
ST: van Nistelrooy (support)
ST: Dzeko (attack)
my best substitute players are, wes brown, ferdinand, o'shea, jonny evans, van bommel, anderson, valencia and berbatov.
My usual tactics are a quite high defensive line, with lots of pressing and hard tackling. my natural instincts when i go behind are to make the fullbacks 'support', which just makes everything worse and i concede even more.
I play quite a slow tempo with lots of creative freedom to try and get the best out of my creative players, this works a treat against the lower/slower teams but is ineffectual against quick sides. I also try to play slightly narrow vs quick sides to try and limit the space in the middle but it seems to have no effect. My general strategies are fluid and attacking. I play a balanced or direct passing game, which doesnt seem to work because i find myself losing possession and only getting around 30-40% vs quick passing sides. I also dont use the offside trap or counter attack options (apart from offside trap and high line against lower teams).
The main killer formations that my team can't play against is with a 5 or narrow midfield.
Sorry if ive missed any important info out, i just have to rely on my memory as i play in a network game and cant review my tactics at the moment.
These bad performances vs quick teams are costing me pretty bad, and Evra and Rooney have already left the club because they were fed up with me.
Thanks for any help in advance.

i have played every football manager game since the 2008 edition, but to be honest i'm not great at setting up tactics. in this save, i had a bad start to the season, but finally managed to crawl back up into the champions league qualification spots, and am currently fourth, level with liverpool, three points behind both first-placed manchester city and arsenal in second.
for whatever reason, my players get many shots per games, but more than half are off-target. i also pick up tons of bookings despite the fact that i always tell my players to "stay on feet". finally, my defense is porous, and i almost never keep clean sheets.
i would love to play fast-paced attacking football, sorta like barca does, and i know i have a squad that is capable of fireworks. i have taken out almost all the oldies, and the young'uns are all highly-skilled players. but no matter what i do, they don't perform half as well as they'd be expected to.
in case you're wondering why drogba, anelka or benayoun aren't in the team, and why ashley cole and mikel are leaving on future transfers, it's 'cause my early-season troubles led to major disillusionment, and i botched a team talk early on, leading to mass transfer request madness lol. yeah, i am a bit of a noob, sorry
finally, can you suggest a good attacking midfielder who'll come cheap? i need someone who can either play as my primary playmaker or as a backup to lampard.
if someone can suggest changes to my tactics or even tweak'em for me, that'll be awesome.
thanks in advance for your help

Hi i dont know what is the best tactic for fiorentina
strikers: derdyiok mutu kadlec babacar mchelidze
midfiders: dougles costa badelj dagostino montolivo zanetti bolatti ljajic cerci jovetic
defenders vargas gamberini fazi felipe de silvestri
and what these best position
pls help
I would probably set up a Wide 4231, i.e, MC-MC-AMR-AMC-AML.FC, using the fullbacks to provide the with and the 2 Mcs being rather defensive.
I would use the AMC as a second striker seeking free space and cutting inside with the ball when inside possession out wide.
In the FC position, I would use an advanced FC.
As for the wingers, it would depend on who's playing. If they have good crossing and having right foot on right flank, then I would have them huge touchline and cross a lot. If liking to cut inside right foot on left flank, then I would let them do so and restrict their fwruns so that they get a better angle on goal
Thx, but i have many strikers and who will be the fc ? derdyiok or babacar ? jovetic hava injuey for 4 months, i want 2 strikers tactic but i dont know what is
