Bought myself the RX 460 2GB instead of the RX 470. Had to get new GPU sooner than planned-and to be honest no regrets whatsoever. For £88 I got myself a great budget card. World of Warcraft Legion max settings at a steady 70-75 FPS in raids. Overwatch 90+ FPS on ultra (peak at 135 FPS). Alien Isolation totally maxed out between 70-80 FPS. This card is so much better than I expected, and now I can finally play games properly that I've always wanted to like Witcher, Dragon Age Inquisition at great quality. And I've been testing everything at 1080p aswell. Temperature so far has never gone above 55 degrees under full load yet, and it's such a quiet card. Some people kept saying on various forums it was a trash card-nope. Absolutely not. Though value for money would defo come into it as GPU's are generally more expensive in Europe compared to the United States. RX 470 for example is cheaper in the US so that would result in the RX 470 being better bang for buck.

And to top it off, the Relive recorder by AMD is great also. Records gameplay in very high quality with only a 2-3 FPS loss as the entirety of the recording is done via the card itself. Compared to Shadowplay it's definately better, as tests re: FPS loss have been done and NVidia came off worse.

Now the only downside is that because I can play anything (within reason ofc) I have a feeling my gaming library is going to get much longer. Such stress yo lol

There's a little difference between 460 and 470 right now. At max 10fps in some games. You can't even see the difference between 50 and 60 FPS tbh. You might now run everything on Ultra, but on high you'll get very good FPS in pretty much every game. Difference will be more noticeable in maybe next gen where extra memory will help games run more smoothly.

I'm still looking to upgrade mine, but prices here are really high. If I want to buy let say GTX 1070 GTX1070 8GB i'll have to cash out something around 450 euros. And thats insane lol.

Yeah, the prices at the high end are batshit insane right now. Top of a line Intel is so expensive, you used to be able to build an entire machine with that sort of money. And not some low level garbage either. Same with top GPUs.

On the plus side, you can put together a machine that will do movies+internet+some casual gaming really cheaply.

Been playing EU4 with the new rights of man exp (well not sure how new it is but ive been out of action) for last few days and its a bit good. The tech rework is great especially for playing hordes. Love the new stuff for rulers too currently doing my Brandenberg into Prussia game so much fun even if a little easy after dealing with the teutons but its ok I'm gunna eat a few more minors and go de with the ottoscum scurge in Anatolia and restore Byzantium to its former glory.....under Prussian supervision of course

New HoI4 patch notes looks really promising, hopefully the game will finally start taking some shape. Though I gotta say I'm seriously disappointed with Paradox and the ****** post-release support HoI4 has compared to Stellaris.

you know why that is though ******* Wiz is on Stellaris the guy is a machine. but yeah its not been great at all, ive dabbled Air warfare still needs work imo but defo headed in the right direction

Heads up lads.

Going to use one with some spare components for myself, and upgrade a mates computer (He's paying of course).

Would you not play ME Andromeda on PC Epic T?

Not sure my PC could handle it tbh, and I am missing not having a PS4

I suppose you could weigh up the costs of A new PS4 and the crazy costs of the games, vs upgrading the PC and getting the games for the same price as a few hours in the pub :)

It would be for online too alot of my friends have PS4 so there is that. Whereas Steam I have more people from base than IRL lol

Yeah, you need to go where your mates are playing I suppose (that's where the real fun in gaming is).
Pity they weren't all PC gamers though :) You'd get better performance and save a packet.

I got lucky really.
All the mates are PC enthusiasts (I converted them all eventually) ;)

They've done a good change with anti-air reducing debuffs from Domination. Invading UK was a nightmare, even if you bypassed the fleet there were 50 trillion fighters in the air, given their units some batshit crazy bonuses.

And yeah, I get that they are focusing more on Stellaris since it sold better, but the support for HoI4 has been **** poor, it's been like 9 months and they barely managed to fart out 3 major patches.

Yeah it is a bit of a joke really, the support received has not been great at all. There is also no more dev diaries till April now and Stellaris is getting a new Exp in April so that is telling. I know the game will end up being "probably " the best WW2 Grand Strat out there but it is really frustrating waiting for them to sort issues out, especially seeing as I bought the colonel edition.

I mean don't get me wrong the game is in good shape and certainly playable but I am waiting for 1.4 before I throw myself balls deep into it and do a campaign with all the majors etc. Had a fun Japan game the other day though managed a '36 war against USA and won which was pretty fun if a little balls to the wall trying to avoid their navy like the plague until I could land my marines in Alaska

Bizarre price-£5 cheaper than RX 470. I'm seeing some really odd prices across the board. Hopefully though these prices will catch on and wreck Nvidia sales and end the unhealthy control they have. GPU market needs competition to end NVidia's monopoly

Nvidia only has monopoly on top high end GPUs. They are usually ~5% faster ( they give better performance) but much more expensive. If you want budget card that somewhat future proof, RX series are better if you compare what you get for the price. If you want top performance, you go with Nvidia.

Same with new Ryzen CPUs. AMD is always little behind Intel, but they are much cheaper. Yeah, Intel have better quality as well. For 600$ you can get beast of a machine:

Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core, Radeon RX 470 4GB HS Triple X, ZM-T1 PLUS MicroATX Mini Tower - $600 Team Blue - Lonxu's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker

But if you want top end, it's all Nvidia:

You need to proof read your forum posts mate.

You posted in English, but it was just a jumble of English words.
