Shadow of Mordor on Xbox one. Really enjoying it, very much like Batman arkham series of games but set in Middle earth and much more brutal which is no bad thing at all, happy to say its extremely violent. Definite recommend you buy if you've not already 9/10

Played Civ:BE a bit. There are some good new ideas in the game, but overall its far too close to Civ V. For example, so what that resources have now sci-fi names , if the resource system is nearly identical? If I have a resource within my borders, I know I should most likely upgrade the tile. There's nothing new to figure out here. Most of the game plays like this. I managed to trump all over AI in my first playthrough - granted that was just Normal difficulty, but still.

One great thing they've done is all units upgrade automatically now to the best possible version. I love it. Manually micromanaging the upgrades was such a chore and of course it would ruin your economy, so late game you sometims had fights Spearmen vs. Tanks or something equally silly.

Balance of the game is also way off, city spamming is basically the best available strategy. I know that will probably be adjusted with patches. But seriously, that tactic goes back all the way to Civ 1. I don't know how such an experienced studio lets something like this slip by.

Overall I gotta say the game doesn't seem worth the price at this point - best to wait for some patches and possibly an expansion.

I didn't end up getting it in the end and from what I have seen seems like a good move as it stands, watched a fair bit of gameplay on twitch and yeah I was underwhelmed just seemed like a reskin

just got beta invite for Heroes of the Storm from Blizz so going to give that a major going over. Been looking forward to it.

All the games I've been getting lately along with Beta invites is killing my FM time-it's getting out of control lol

Really started getting into Dayz lately times splitt between that and fm14

Blizzard have just announced that Heroes of the Storm will go into closed Beta on January 13th. More info here

I'm in the technical alpha myself, and I really do recommend it. Imagine League of Legends and Dota 2.....but fun because it's minus the toxic player douchebags. Highly recommend it

Definately worth it. Been wrecking face with Arthas-though it's odd seeing Diablo riding horseback lol. Really enjoying myself tbh

Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

I am sick of military shooters (FPS' mostly) but for some reason I keep playing them. I also have Ghost Recon: Future Soldier up my sleeves but that one is at least enjoyable. Well MOH is enjoyable at times too but it's just so standart..., no juicy story. Just some random terrorists stuff. There are almost no cutscenes with an event happening, just some random talk. I wish those types of games didn't make most of the shooter/FPS genre.

I want to play Evil Within but I can't because it lacks any optimisation whatsoever... I can start Alien: Isolation or Shadow of Mordor but I don't want to start more games before finishing some. But I guess I'll have to make a choice soon. Already decided to watch rest (40%) of Metro: Last Light anyway.

Thankfully I am not overwhelmed by the vision of new COD, I am looking forward to it (Kevin Spacey and all) but even that have to wait before I sort this out.

I wish people didn't make games at all instead those generic ones. At least I wouldn't have anything to worry about.

Really wanna play EU4 but I am getting art of war tomorrow's not worth starting a new game looks like it's more Victoria 2

Yeah, Blizzard is my last hope of getting into MOBA. They have 7 years of experience from WOW on how to deal with idiots, after all.

They handled it quite well in Heartstone too, there's just no chat - no problem. Haha.

Haven't really followed HotS (Is that what people call it?) that much because I can never get into MOBAs. The learning curves are so high and time needed is just too much. From what I've heard though it's just a bit meh, nothing special and nothing too innovative. How have they solved the toxic community? Or is it just a case of their being so few people on the game at the moment?

Overwatch on the other hand. Now that I am really excited for.

I thought it would be meh but found myself addicted before long. It's very easy to get into and master unlike say Dota. Very easy to pick up. The toxic levels are reduced by limiting the chat considerably so you won't get flamed needlessly. And also people who are constantly rage quitting because of new players making mistakes etc are punished, but being put into groups of other rage quitters. They monitor them as once they leave before their supposed to their account is flagged:

Personally I haven't encountered one toxic player so far. I tried Strife and I encountered toxic players on a slowly increasing regualrity. And I don't have to mention Dota or League lol.

The tutorial is excellent too imo-and actually fun. Which is rare. There aren't many people granted but they've increased the number of invites going out considerably recently. And the Hero's are fun too with some rather funky abilities. Definately worth checking out imo. I'm finding it a lot of fun and that's just the tech Alpha.

And I agree about Overwatch-that look real good. And I've heard it's a **** of a lot of fun. Unsurprisingly all the TF players are saying it's a carbon copy but I'm hearing from the people who played it at Blizzcon it's anything but like TF2. So right now it's Warlords of Draenor hype, and now Overwatch Hype. Along with hype for the new Hearthstone expansion next month.

All aboard the Blizz hype train lol

Blasting on Eu4 and Art of war and it is pretty **** good so good I haven't played FM this week yet, just got some Men of War collection too so seeing as Hearts of Iron won't work on my PC for some reason I will still be getting my WW2 fix.

oh anyone missing paradox games dlc Greenmangaming having 75% off paradox stuff slowly buying all the unit sprite packs I don't really need

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor.

It started disastrously. Technical problems with servers, bugs-the usual. Then an absolutely massive Ddos from China. It was massive. But.......

Jesus christ it was worth the wait. The graphics are gorgeous, the music is just fantastic, even the levelling experience I'm enjoying a **** of a lot. They've made the game incredibly immersive. There's just so much to do from running your own garrison to fighting the Iron Horde-to everything in between.

I've not had this much fun since Wrath of the Lich King. Spectacular

All you strategy buffs need to drop whatever you are doing right now, and play This War of Mine. Its a sort of survival-strategy-simulation combo happening in an city under siege, and you're a group of civilians trying to survive by managing scarce resources, while everything around you slowly goes to ****. Its ******* intense and unforgiving. There are also randomized mechanics, roguelike style, so every playthrough is different.

If this post seems a bit incoherent its beacuse I sat down to the game at 8 PM yesterday, and stopped around sunrise. :P.

At the moment I'm mostly playing FM15 but I'm going home at the weekend and I'm gonna pick up my playstation and have a much needed GTA 5 session! I haven't played the game in months but was addicted in the summer.

Has anyone got it on PS4 or Xbox 1 and if so what's the first-person mode like? I'm not sure if I'll prefer it.
