no but been debating on buying it for ages, sucker for anything WW2 let us know if it is any good.

Well it didn't come yesterday as I forgot to update my card on amazon, derp. All done and should come today.
I did play Sunset Overdrive that I bought though, pretty fun once you get used to controls. Should get better the more guns and powers you unlock I think.
After not buying any games for yonks on my XB1 I've just bought 3 for about 40 quid. Wolfenstein, Sunset Overdrive and Borderlands Handsome Collection.
Should last me a while!

Yeah most definitely, I bought Arsenal of Democracy yesterday on steam in the paradox publisher sale, debating whether to fire it up, sat in a lecture at the back but I am the only one with a laptop out, out of 300 people so do not want to seem to obvious
.doing my football blog instead at least it looks like I am working!

Ha its being a paradox fanboy, if you have an urge to conquer theworld they are the company for you, so many gems as long as you don't mind the aesthetics of the games. Master league going well now marching up the league just having time to play with just starting uni

~also should have added Arsenal of Democracy is Hearts of Iron 2 redone by a mod team (BL Logic), so it is HOI2 but with a shed load of extra content. it has alternative WW2 starts and scenarios where the cold war went hot and lots of other stuff. Download counter mod and its good to go

Wow just downloaded the Star Wars Battlefront beta and it is pretty awesome, if you are a star wars fan and like battlefield download it will make you happy.
I just cannot bring myself to play Battlefront 2. I've been watching streams, and it's just Battlefield with Star Wars skin. And no space battles? No. Just no. That's not Star Wars. It smells like people will have to pay for the space battles as DLC. Until I'm proved otherwise, I'm giving it a massive avoid.
I absolutely adore Star Wars-have done since I was 7 years old. And this is just.....nope.

I seriously disagree, as someone who has an obscene amount of hours in Battlefield, and when I say obscene I would put peoples FM hours to shame, it is very far from battlefield with a star wars skin stuck on. Does it feel like battlefield? yeah of course it does its DICE what did people expect? its not a bad thing far from it, of all the shooters it is imo at least the best. But it doesn't stop it having its own unique feel at all, I have had some seriously epic battles in this game already.
This game will get bad press because the fanboi's will get butthurt and people hate on EA (justifiably), but it does not stop it being a pretty **** good game, it actually feels like DICE have learnt from the mistakes of BF4, and this seems solid, I even got to be Darth Vader and **** up a load of rebels and ride in the AT-AT that is Star Wars, to write it off without playing when there is a free beta is madness.

Just playing through the Drake Collection at work midway through the first game its ok bit too linear and levels are longer and more drawn out than they should be. Its like kill a rent a bad guy game, not bad hope 2 and 3 are better though!

These days I quite often like to just plod about killing stuff. I'm playing Borderlands Pre Sequel at the moment and i have absolutely no clue what the story is. I put the game on, stick a podcast to play on my phone and run about shooting things for an hour.

Sounds fair, never got into Borderlands gone off the FPS games altogether tbh, just got Wasteland 2 its made the transfer to console pretty well, going to enjoy bashing through this again.
Not playing FM 16 sadly right now, and I've missed out on the Overwatch beta (even though from a Blizz fanboy perspective it wasn't done the best way and from the way it seems from watching streams-seems overhyped), I'll be doing the Battleborne closed beta later on. And it looks very interesting indeed-and tbh looks more interesting than Overwatch. Sadly can't say any more than that because had to agree to NDA. Looks very promising though

Just looked Battleborn up looks quite interesting will keep an eye out for it in feb, and ditto not playing FM the retailer was not in the beta but tbh do not mind too much got an FM15 game I want to finish.
I say this as someone who was addicted to TF2 and played the game competitively, so I'm desperate for anything like it but...
Overwatch will be a good game ruined by Blizzard, just like everything else they've released since the Activision merger. Hearthstone and Starcraft have both proved that they're either absurdly money hungry or they really don't do design and balance very well. Their habit of releasing something blatantly OP in new expansions, leaving it in to **** the meta for months then only nerfing it when the next expansion is about to roll out (and they therefore want people to splash the cash on that instead) is despicable.

Don't even get me started on Hearthstone. Nerfing Miracle Rogue into the ground after a short space of time-but leaving Grim Patron decks completely broken for so long, and only nerfing it because Blizzcon is coming up was just reeeeeaaal dumb. and I say that as a major Blizz fan. Overwatch also seems way too chaotic aswell-too much going on at once, and they need to cut way back on the un-necessary screen clutter-it's at the point where I actually find it very hard to watch. I find it hard to enjoy games that rely on chaos over tactics. And they should have also said the first beta wave was purely a press release and not a beta. I'm not salty myself for not getting-I was 100% convinced I wouldn't, but it came across wrong and a **** of a lot of people were disappointed and very salty.
Battleborn looks way more interesting and well thought out-and I have to admire the honesty of the devs for it, as they admitted they're "terrified" at trying to balance the game lol. And also anything powerups you purchase for the character you use is purely in game currency-then the power ups or whatever dissipate. I'm looking forward to it more than Overwatch. Hopefully the next four hours won't drag too long. Can't wait to test it out
