Yeah, good point. That's exactly why it went wrong. If it's supposed to be historical WW2 simulator, then the focus should have been more on managing the industry, managing war logistics, like previous HOIs were. And if it's supposed to be a sandbox, then it needs to be **** of a lot more open. Random wars starting, unexpected superpowers forming in South America, colonies fighting for independence...

And haven't tried Tyranny yet, nope. From what I heard it was relatively new team of designers at Obsidian working on it, so I figured I'd wait for reviews and couple of patches. Plus they've done a lot of changes from Pillars of Eternity combat that I'm not sure about.

Oh really? I might wait for a price drop then and just go through Pillars again

Recently got back into factorio, my god forgot how addictive that game is, really not happy with myself though. Made a massive elaborate setup to smelt copper and iron off the same track, but I miscalculated so the whole thing is off by one. It annoyed me that much I rage quit and will be starting a fresh map this evening haha

Gone back down the strategy route. Just nabbed Hearts of Iron: Darkest Hour for £2 on steam and it looks rather spiffing. But as usual tutorial is an absolute nightmare so going to take a while to get into it. My sort of game though having scenarios from World War I up to II and a little bit beyond, and there's mods out there to keep things going.

Was a tough choice though-very tough-between this, Star Ruler 1+2 (latter just under £5, former just under £1.70) and Sword of the Stars Complete collection. But I'll pick them up if on sale during the Winter Sale. Needed something fresh due to burning out on Overwatch and no longer playing Hearthstone (worst.....meta.....ever).

Eternal CCG is also worth a look. It's got elements of MTG and Hearthstone-but it's what Hearthstone should have, and could have been. In Open Beta and worth a look

Just picked up Humble Bundle's latest bundle. For £0.87p I got Out of the Park Baseball 17, Rollercoaster Tycoon: Deluxe, and Train Simulator 16 (Woohoo!).

Even though I know nothing about baseball for £0.87p it was worth a punt, and it turns out that OOTP 17 is rather fun. Also Rollercoaster Tycoon should keep me occupied until Planet Coaster comes down in price (I refuse to pay £29.99 for it). As for Train Simulator 16, I gifted it to a friend because it's a f**king train simulator and my inner troll needed feeding.

FYI the full bundle includes the above mentioned games along with Democracy 3: Collectors Edition, Big Pharma, Car Mechanic Simulator 2015, and Youtubers Life. All for... £9.62p.

Omg I'm gutted I missed Out of the Park Baseball. Any money I had I've just used on shopping. I love baseball and been after that game for a while. Dammit. There'll be sales incoming though so not all bad

F**k it! I'm feeling generous, I'll PM you a gift link for the bundle. That is assuming you haven't bought it in the last hour or so though?

It's cool man keep it-thanks for the offer. It's a highly recommended game so you got it at an absolute steal. People who don't even know about baseball are enjoying it too. You'll enjoy it. Be wary though-I've heard about people "having a quick go"......7-8 hours later lol

Alright man. The offer still stands anyway (after all the money goes to the developers/charity so it's no biggie).

Yeah, since I don't play FM anymore I've been in need of another sports strategy game, so hopefully OOTP 17 will fill that void. It's going to be a big learning curve for me though, because as I mentioned earlier I know f**k all when it comes to baseball. What little knowledge I have comes from the films Moneyball and Bad News Bears. However I'm confident I'll be regarded as the 'new Billy Beane' in no time. But first I need to drag myself away from playing Rust. :D

Normally with these games there's a guide on Youtube. I seem to recall a guide being done for the 2016 version. They're normally in-depth without being overly complicated.

However if you don't pick the Yankees and chose the Red Sox I'll be forced to infract you :D

If it is weekly bundle, its already over?

Or did I missnuderstanded

People recommend me some games. On sick leave and need to play something. Computer can handel anything. I like good story and gameplay. Right now cruising around in Witcher, but would love some new challenge.

get rimworld you wont regret it the mods are off the scale

I have heard it is more addictive than FM. But ****, expensive for early access game?

There is even pack for 350€ :O

It is pretty addictive trying to stop your colony going up in flames is a good challenge haha. I mean its technichally early access but its been in alpha for around 2 years or so. The game runs like a dream and the amount and depth of mods is insane, if you like these sorts of games its a steal for the amount of hours you can put in. I cant remmeber how much it was but i preordered it on steam was around 20 quid.

Better get the other bundle, worth 5$ just for Infinifactory alone.

Oh yes!

Got paid this morning. Noticed Out of the Park Baseball 17 still on sale at Humble Bundle. It was a no brainer. And already I'm in statistical heaven. I love baseball, and the depth of this game is unreal. The fact you can play in historical leagues as far back as 1871 is amazing, along with the fact you can create your own historical leagues, as well as customize recent leagues. And on top of that there's mods available aswell. Incredible detail. I have no need to buy any further games in any sales in the near future.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get lost in baseball stats. Heaven.

I nearing to finish off Witcher 3. Simply amazing world and I dont want to do the last missions. But I have still two DLC to play through so it will not be the end.

Is it hard to get into this game if I dont know anything about baseball?
It is more databased game than FM?

Witcher dlc is amazing blood and wine is like a new game.

Having knowledge of the sport definately helps (been baseball fan 27 years), and there is a learning curve. But you can start "easy" by just picking your basic lineups etc (3 modes-manager (very basic), general manager (harder-more to do) and do both (hardest-whole 9 yards). But there's an absolute tonne of info to help newbies (including on the forums), and like football manager you can start at the bottom (at like say Japan lower leagues or certain leagues outside Major Leagues in the US). There's a lot of info to take in and having knowledge of abbreviations with the stats helps. There's a lot of numbers.

Anyone give an idea of the state of Stellaris right now? Just seen it's on sale for £23 on the Paradox official website (just base game) and I'm tempted. Worth buying or best to wait it out another month or so?

I am fond of card games and a while ago I started playing online poker. I improve my skills in Russian Poker now. After a hard working day it's a good way to remove stress.

Its in a pretty solid state and only getting better, waiting a month probably wouldn't make much difference to your experience at all. Its not perfect but as always in any paradox game the modding community can help you get your perfect game. In a years time this will be the best space strategy game out there.
