Think I'll hang fire then-sounds promising though. May pick up Distant Worlds Universe as that's going half price aswell. Looks like it has a lot more depth as it's a true 4X-graphics look.....uninspiring....but it's the gameplay that matters to me. Graphics always come further down the list for me.

Just a heads up to PC gamers looking for a bargain.
Found a company based in Cyprus but shipping from Germany, selling the Sapphire Nitro RX480 4gb for €231 with free shipping.
That's less than 200 quid to you guys.

I ordered a few bits off them this morning and delivery is promised for next Thursday.

Been look for a new GFX card too

I have an RX 480 in one of my units and it's performance is brilliant at 1080p. I was really surprised actually. In GTA v I got identical frame rates as my GTX 970 which is still selling for over €350 oO)

I have it in a customized Antec 900 case and it never reached over 60 degrees even after long gaming sessions.

I HIGHLY recommend buying one, especially at that price.

My processor is a A10 7890 so depends what pairs well with that but I'll check out that site for sure

I'm in a bit of a quandry. Initially was going to get RX 460 so can save up for RX 470/480....then I find out apparently the NVidia GPU's play better with Intel CPU's (I used to be AMD but switched). But the fact NVidia screwed over their customers still remains in the back of my mind. Either way can't get new GPU til new year so still have time for further research. I'm stuck with an R7 240 with DDR3 RAM-the ultimate potato GPU lol. But it still lets me play Overwatch, Skyrim SE etc so can't complain too much-but I now it's nearing the end of it's life gathering by the strange behavior of it.

But RX 460 or GTX 1050 will be my go to GPU as a stop gap for RX 480.

But the RX 480 is a great card, and Saphire do great GPU's so that price is pretty much great.

Here's a benchmark vid using your CPU with the 480.
He hoons about for a bit, then runs the GTA bench.

Don't know if anybody is looking for a dirt cheap Gaming keyboard and mouse combi, but I'm rough on keyboards due to ale spills etc... So picked this up off ebay for less than €30 in September.
I have really enjoyed gaming with it, I have to say.

F**K €200 quid mice :p

Both the keyboard and mouse are back-lit (3 colours) and the mouse is VERY good.

AULA.

Thanks, might pick it up in Christmas, or thinking about new save in FM (Parma or Sunderland).

I have 970 and cant be happier, Witcher 3 with mods all full and running 50-60fps. Next year plan is to get 1070 or 1080. I like Nvidia, because I have had AMD cards and time to time it just too much of a hassle.

It is ok, not sure if the workshop is up and running for it yet, I know it wasnt at release I would probably wait for that and get all the realy world skins and drivers

As a current owner of several different Nvidia and AMD cards (and a mix over the years), what hassle do you have with AMD?
I had to RMA GTX 980 cards so many times that I eventually got a refund and bought a 970/other spares.

The Nvidia driver issues over the years are as notorious as AMD's heat issues :D

AMD have really improved their heat and power footprint with the new releases (and Vega will be released in 2017).
Nvidia are still releasing bugged drivers (did you roll back from 375.95? I did).

Team red might still be in the shadow of Nvidia, but they are making significant improvements in tech.
Nvidia just keep charging more.

Don't forget it's Steam winter sale from tomorrow. I won't be taking part. I've hidden my debit card somewhere safe so not even Gabe can get his mitts on it!! I've still got games from 2-3 years ago I haven't touched yet FeelsBadMan

You may want to hide your wallets-Steam winter sale now underway

I didn't even bother looking.
I play so much World of Warships these days that there is no point installing anything new :)

I'm loving my Nassau German Battleship.
The secondaries shred any cocky ***** that get near me.
