What Roles and Duties Best suit my players?

I'd say

JH- Poacher
WR- complete forward- support
Bebatov- advanced forward or treq
SD- DLP
Nani- inside winger played on the left- attack

what role should i select for him? i've play him as Advance playmaker and center midfielder. After 20+ games, avg rating of 6.8, 2 assist 3 goals. Quite a poor return

Advanced playmaker is his best role IMO.

I have him at MC advanced playmaker - attack.. if i reshuffle tactics ill move him up but its good to know im using him correctly. He just went on an epic run of form 5 goals and 3 assists in 4 games team of the week 3 times in a row
 
First ever post as i am a new to the forum. First time I've ever been Man City and decided to spend loadsa money which will probably mean my players wont gel but just a trial anyway. Im going to play a 4-2-3-1 formation with the following players at my disposal:

GK - Hart
DR - Srna (automatic)
DL - Kolarov (automatic)
DCR - K.Toure (defend)
DCL - Zapata (defend)
MCR - Y.Toure (box to box support)
MCL - Sahin (deep lying playmaker support)
AMC - Silva (advanced playmaker attack)
AMC - Aguero (inside forward attack)
AMC - Tevez (inside forward or Transquerta attack)
S - Dzeko (Target Man Attack)

I have also signed:

Pastore
Hazard
Sakho

I want to keep the same formation but not sure if i have all the player roles correct or possibly positions correct, Can anyone suggest what roles they would play these players in bearing in mind the formation i am going for?

Yaya Toure ----> Anchor Man - Defend
David Silva -----> Inside Forward - Attack
Eden Dzeko -----> Target Man - Support
Pastore ----> Advanced Playmaker - Attack
Eden Hazard ---> Inside Forward - Attack
Mamadou Sakho ----> Central Defender - Defend
 
Thanks Lord_Slop. So what would your preffered full line up be with player roles in that formation?

If anyone else also has a suggestion on my original post please do not hesitate to mention

But I'd recommend playing a 4-4-2 instead to utilize your strikers better.
 
I have recentley signed Andy Carroll, I always thought he would be best suited as a target man, because of his strength, jumping and heading ability, but this is not working, any ideas???
 
Don't know if this the right place but:

Has anyone had any sucsess in retraining Jack Rodwell as a Ball Playing CB? He looks like he's got all the right stats for it and he's not too small.

with them 3 in midfeild it's pretty poor, not much running from either of the three, play someone who can run and has good stamina and fitness and who isn't very heavy. i would play 3 midfeilders with a ball winning midfeilder (de jong), deep laying playmaker (barry) and attacking mid (toure), or i would play a attacking mid (toure), box to box (milner) and aither ball winning midfeilder or deep laying playmaker (de jong or barry). I would always play adam johnson as a winger, or balotelli as a inside foreward.

the full backs are *****, all but 1 of your attacking players are midgets, and pastore isn't much good.

depends on the other roles in your team, but i would play him as a defensive winger.
