What Roles and Duties Best suit my players?

Petrić - poacher right?

Gerrard as AMC ? Or better to use him as MC - Box to box

Meireles as MC or maybe retrain him to AMC? And what role

And Rakitić - ADv Playmaker - Support or Attack?

I played kuyt as inside forward attack and he performed really well so I would sugest you play him as inside forward.
gerrard is great as box to box but might be wasted playing to far down the oitch so it depends if you want him in a more goalscoring role because then I would suggest attacing mid attack.
meireles - central mid support
rakitic- use him in a support role

I'm playing as Everton halfway through my third year. I've had Suarez for 18 months now and he is just not performing.
I'm playing 4-5-1 or 4-4-2 depending on the opposition (both with aml/r, basically just swapping the DMC for a striker)
He's by far my most expensive purchase (I wish I'd gone for neymar now) so I initially kept playing him as trequartista behind a poacher, but now he also gets used as an inside forward or on the bench.
His scoring rate, assists and general rating is the lowest of the 5 I have on my books.

When I have a front four I tend to use

Poacher - vela / son huang-min / Joao silva (better than his stats)
With
Trequartista - Suarez or sanogo - targetman attack
With
Inside forward - elia and winger v.Weiss
Gueye, Son and Suarez also provide options.

As a three I'm playing
Elia - inside forward
Vela - poacher
Son - inside forward
With crossing right down

Suarez should be good in any of these roles but is out performed time and again.

I need to maximize my front line as I need to spend next years money elsewhere (Arteta, Cahill and yobo are nearing the end)

I need to know what can I do to get Cahill get into the box for for crosses, in the attachment below is what I'm using his him as, he's doing well and getting a decent goal return, but it's inconsistent and almost none of it was with his head.

Wide play - move into channels PPM - Arrives late in oppostions box

My question is, what other roles can I try to get Suarez playing well / scoring
I've tried trequartista in a 4-4-2, poacher in a 4-5-1 and inside forward with both. He's currently my fifth best striker behind Joao silva!

Also...

Elia as inside forward has been by far my best player in the aml slot. I have baines behind as an attacking fb providing an overlap and crosses with Elia cutting in and putting through balls or shots in. I'm thinking about making Elia my targetman with ball to feet (Arteta is the play maker)
Has anyone had success with a non-striker as a target man? (currently I have vela with run on to ball instruction)
