What Roles and Duties Best suit my players?

Hi,

David Goodwillie (ST) - originally from Dundee Utd (i thought as an advanced forward)
Diego Costa (ST) - originally from Atletico Madrid (i thought as a poacher)

my thoughts on how these players should be payed doesn't seem to be working too well, any opinion?
 
I need a role suggestion for Joshua King.

Yeah, he should be a target man, attack duty. If you want him as a poacher, he should be faster than that. Secondary role as a deep lying forward with attack duty should work.
That other guy, Dave Lewis, I think you should play him just as a advanced playmaker with attack duty, even his team work and work rate are bit low. He can't be an attacking midfielder because of his low pace. (Individual training focus suggestion, stamina)

Hi i need some help with my Team. When i play Macheda upfront he plays magnificent but i play Kalinic there and nothing he does nothing for me. Im going to upload a screenshot of the team and hopefully you all could help me what best suits all my players it doesnt matter if you carnt id rather you help me with Kalinic because Macheda is not as good as Kalinic but hes playing better than him.
 
what tactic are you using? do you change the roles/duties and PI's when you change Mechada for Kalincic?
 
I am using one of BetterHalfs finel set tactics but i play Macheda he scored like 17 goals this season and Kalinic is just a flop and i know Kalinic has a high potential so im just tempted to sell him but i really want to keep him.
 
just carry on tweaking the tactic to suit Kalincic and save it once you do :) I did this with my tactic for Owen, he scored 11 goals in 10 games for me before I loaned him out (to save cash on wages and Fulham offered me a good future fee)

so you have to try it and change it until you can get the best out of him :) be patient! maybe he plays better alongside someone in comparison to playing upfront alone?
