on the earlier cms i always bought kim kallstrom, tote and alexander farnerud, this is because i played the game with my dad and he played 4-4-1-1 tactics and they always suited them, on this one i always get ludovic magnin in the 2nd season, first season sol campbell, theyre both solid

i usually buy krivets, stancu, vincent enymenua dzagoev, paloschi & lewandowski.

but iv noticed the ratings on fm2010 are more realistic, instead of having players with average phenomanal ratings it has players with average ratings, i.e fm 2009 players had pace strenght passing at 15, in fm2010 its more like 11 & 12's.

i think the player ratings are more realistic. and fm2010 give you more players and tools to develop world class players, any player showing promise can be nurtured into a great player.

so players with decent ratings can become quality players but it takes a few seasons maybe 3 to 4 in fm 2010 , whereas in fm 2009 it would only take a season and a half.
