Cardiff City 3-1 Everton
View attachment 150548
Meret, Gunter, Ilori, Cooper, Nakagawa, Rossiter, Johansen (Ralls 57), Cook, Oliver, Green (Zielinski 66), Avdijaj

We started poorly, allowing Everton to take the lead through Polish international Arkadiusz Milik, but we soon rallied and took the lea through a Donis Avdijaj brace. Putting us 2-1 up at half-time, we continued pushing forward but Everton won a dodgy penalty, which was saved by Alex Meret! Daniel Zielinski sealed the win with 2 minutes to go

We took United all the way and probably deserved to go through. We had 3 HUGE chances and missed all but one, United bombarded our goal at the end of the game and during extra-time and forced their way through with two screamers from range

Another London team, another thrilling match! Eden Hazard put Chelski ahead before midfielder Harrison Reed bagged an equaliser just before half-time. Donis Avdijaj then gave us the lead with yet another goal as Chelsea bombarded us. Alex Meret was spectacular, keeping out everything and getting a 9.3 Match Rating. Unfortunately Daniel Zielinski scored an own goal 2 minutes after replacing Rossiter, Chelsea appeared to win the game through Romelu Lukaku only for Donis Avdijaj score a dramatic late equaliser. Amazing.

A fairly even game against a spurs side including Douglas Costa, Dele Alli, Coutinho, Mario Balotelli and Harry Kane. We held out for over an hour following Donis Avdijaj's opening goal. Despite all of Spurs' attacking talent it took left-back Danny Rose's volley from a corner to tie the game in the last minute

A huge victory away to strugglers Nottingham Forest. We pushed and pushed and it took a 22nd minute goal from Harrison Reed to put us ahead (after he'd missed 3 golden opportunities). Donis Avdijaj doubled our lead 3 minutes later. Forest bombarded us in the second half but couldn't carve out many chances. Avdijaj secured the victory with his second of the match in the 91st minute

Injuries and the Asian Cup lead to a mish-mash of a backline, featuring débutante Mitchell Grant who's actually a midfielder, faced Norwich and they took full advantage, with Alberto Paloschi giving them the lead in the 15th minute. Fortunately our attackers responded with a goal of our own, Mikkel Duelund equalising and grabbing us a draw

BLUEBIRDS SEAL TRANSFER COUP

View attachment 150521
CARDIFF CITY have once again sent shockwaves throughout world football, this time through latest signing, Riechedly Bazoer

The Welsh club have shocked many with their signing of the 22 year old Dutch international, who has joined the Bluebirds for a fee believed to be around £11.75m

Bazoer challenging England's Harry Kane at Wembley in 2016

Bazoer has signed for Cardiff from Spanish Cup holders FC Barcelona, who signed Bazoer from Ajax for £21m in 2016

Bazoer, an Eredivise winner with Ajax, is said to be "relieved" to be joining the Bluebirds labelling the Welsh capital as the "light at the end of the tunnel" following his time in Span, which he described as a "personal ****"

Celebrating a goal for Ajax

The Dutchman, who has made 6 appearances and scored 1 goal for the national side, made 25 appearances in all competitions over for Barcelona over 3 years, finishing second to Real Madrid in each of his Barca seasons

Cardiff have also completed the signing of English defender Jamaal Lascelles from Burnley for £425,000

Adam Forshaw has played his final game for Cardiff City and has agreed a move to Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers

Froshaw, 27, made 50 appearances over 2 full years with the Bluebirds but has been sold to Wolves for £5m

The Liverpool born midfielder made 31 appearances for Cardiff last season but has been on the periphery this campaign, making just 2 league appearances

He joined from Cardiff from Middlesbrough in January 2017 and went on to make 17 appearances in the Bluebirds' championship-winning campaign

He will join former Bluebird, Scott Malone, at Molineux as Wolves attempt to secure a playoff spot

In other news, Irish winger Robbie Brady has joined Cardiff City from Stoke on loan until the end of the season

View attachment 150166
Meret, Gunter, Bazoer, Cooper, Ralls, Reed, Johansen (Lascelles 70), Green (Boyle 62), Oliver, Duelund (Jedvaj 70), Avdijaj

A frustrating game as Palace luck their way to a draw on New Years Day. We dominated the game but they somehow drew the game through an own goal and a penalty, lucky bastards

View attachment 150160
Meret, Gunter, Ilori, Cooper, Davies, Rossiter, Bazoer (Reed 86), Green (Perovic 64), Oliver, Duelund, Avdijaj (Boyle 86)

Quite an even game between us here, with us having 11 shots to their 7. I knew if we kept the deficit to 1 goal heading into the last 15 minutes we had a chance at drawing or winning the match, and that's exactly what happened, Tiago Ilori heading the ball in from a Mikkel Duelund corner to take the tie to a replay

I feared the worst when Man City scored just 3 minutes in and were pushing strong but luckily we rallied and it took less than 30 minutes to find our equaliser, Mikkel Duelund scoring to level the tie. Both sides had chances all the way through until the final minutes of extra-time before the dreaded penalty shoot-out. Alex Meret was our hero in the shoot-out saving both Sergio Aguero and Asmir Begovic's penalties, putting us through following Polish international Daniel Zielinski's converted penalty

United tore us a new one, scoring 2 in the first 8 minutes and leading 4-0 at half-time. Our first real thrashing since promotion a year and a half ago. Greig Boyle came on to score our consolation 9 minutes from the end, good for him. Jake Cooper scored a 4.1 Match Rating, not good for him.

An incredible defensive display earned us a point at Anfield. Liverpool controlled the game and took an early lead through Jack Wilshere, before Jordan Rossiter got himself sent off against his former club in the 75th minute, effectively ending any chance of a comeback. Or so I thought, we battled hard and equalised in stoppage time following a quick breakaway from Avdijaj and Perovic. Beautiful.

I had a nice catch up with former my assistant manager Paul Trollope, who is now managing Championship playoff hopefuls Sheffield Wednesday. The Owls started brightly and took the lead through Charlie Austin, we equalised just after half-time with Serbian striker Dusan Perovic continuing his good form. Wednesday took the lead again only for Andre Green to equalise less than a minute later.

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE
Watford 1-0 Cardiff City

View attachment 150131

View attachment 150130

A great result at home to Bournemouth, winning 2-0 despite playing with 10 men for about an hour. Jake Cooper's header gave us the lead early on but Tin Jedvaj's red card put the 3 points in doubt, we closed ranks and saw out the victory, with Dusan Perovic scoring again

A huge result that is a huge sign of intent. We went to Chelsea with a plan: Defend and bring them back to our place for the replay. I thought had plan had been scuppered at the death when the referee gave Chelsea the penalty, only for Eden Hazard to kick the ball straight at David Marshall, incredible.

WE'RE IN THE QUARTERS BABY!!! An exhilarating match against Chelsea which went all the way ended with a victory for the Bluebirds! Andre Green got us off to a brilliant start with a 16th minute volley only for Eden Hazard to equalise just before half-time. Things were incredibly nervy as both sides threw everything at eachother in an attempt to avoid the leg-sapping **** of extra-time. Things were just as nervy in extra-time and it appeared as though we were going to our second penalty shoot-out of the competition only for Andre Green to pop up with a goal 5 minutes from time. Brilliant.

It took less than 20 minutes for us to register our first goal, a volley by Riechedly Bazoer, we doubled our lead 10 minutes later through Andre Green, who scored his second 12 minutes into the second half. Mikkel Duelund also scored. 4-0 and it could easily have been more

Cheers mate

I didn't really want to terminate Wickham's loan deal but he kept on moaning and disrupting the squad

I terminated Wilson's deal because he wasn't really pulling his weight in the Premier League, as shown by his haul of 3 goals in 16 games

Truthfully, I felt we were safe but weren't good enough for Europe so I decided to use the second half of the season to blood in players like Perovic for the next campaign
