Altogether, we have 16 players signed up to take part in "YOU are the player".
This is your story.

The Background Story:
You have been offered a 3-year contract worth £100 per week to join (your club). One of the team scouts had spotted your potential after you caught his eye playing for your Sunday League Football side. The manager of the team took his advice to sign you. Your aim is to become a wonderkid, and do one of two things - take your club to the top, or move on to the best team in the world.
There will be certain points that will be gained throughout the game, and a table will be created defining whether or not you are the best prodigy of the game.
Whether you're at a top club and on loan, playing the odd game at a mid-league club, or even playing regularly for a lower division team ..

This is your moment.

YOU are the player.

The game will run on a points system, which will work so that everyone gets their fair shot at winning this competition. Technically, this competition could go on until you all retire, but I shall try and get through it as quickly as possible to the point where FM 2011 comes out, so we'll see where I stop.

Screenie's coming in a second, get ready for them in the OP (original post).

(On another note, I have added my brother to the game alongside me at Crystal Palace. He's not a member here so didn't get a chance to post, but he wanted to join in.)

My attributes look quite sexy for a Berwick player :)

My attributes look quite sexy for a Berwick player :)
Well you've only just turned 17 as well, so you still have a good few years to mature. Let's see if you get picked up by a bigger club, or try and ride Berwick to the SPL and beyond!

Bodnar signs new Crystal Palace deal.
11th July, 2009
Samuel Bodnar is delighted to have signed a new contract with Crystal Palace. The deal will keep him at the club until 2012, and is suspected to be worth £100 per week; double pay from his youth contract. Bodnar is seen as a promising young starlet for Championship side Crystal Palace, who have a tough season against them with 10 points deducted after entering administration.

I am absolutely loving my physical stats! 18 stamina already

happyswimmer looks like he's going to be fantastic in the future! Looking forward to this :D .

You're a very physical player already, and as a central midfielder (and especially as a DM), that's gonna work great I think.

I tried to pick the 6 stats i look for in a CM/DMC even though my real life position is LB i fancied a change ;)

Burbidge ruled out.
19th July, 2009

Northampton Town's pre-season injury worries continue to grow with the news that Nathan Burbidge will be out for at least 4 months with a torn calf muscle.
With the 17 year-old left winger now definitely out of his side's start to the new season, Northampton find themselves with no fewer than eight first-team players on the casualty list.

Burbidge, who is valued at £575K, currently has 3 years remaining on his £700 p/w deal at Sixfields Stadium.

Bodnar suffers training injury setback.

19th July, 2009

Crystal Palace U18s striker Samuel Bodnar has unfortunately suffered a pulled hamstring during a training session.

It is likely that the 17 year old will be sidelined for approximately 3 weeks.
Bodnar, who is valued at £875K, currently has 3 years remaining on his £100 p/w deal at Selhurst Park.

He looks like he is going to be a top quality player, 4.8m at 16 jealous much? im only worth like 350k at 17. guess thats the benefit of being at a top quality youth acadamy

On a side note guys, I'll put up all the friendly player results in bulk when the leagues kick off.

But Chris Harris, for example, has already played a first-team cup match for Berwick Rangers. He seems to be their main striker!
