Young Boys need to get a player inbetween Spurs' two banks of four IMO.. They seem to be playing a 4-3-3 with two centre mids, and a deeper, more defensive midfielder behind them, which is fairly pointless, since Modric isn't playing, and neither of Spurs' wingers come inside, their defensive line is generally too deep, which gives Tottenham the chance to give it to Crouch, who is having a very good game by the way, or one of the wingers, who always have space to move into, the wingers need to put more pressure on Assou Ekotto and Corluka, who are both being given the freedom to enter the YB half, and link up with Bale and Lennon respectively. Having a more AMC type player in a similar role to Ozil in the WC, or Nasri against Liverpool a fortnight ago, would help YB keep possession, further up the pitch. YB are certainly playing like the away side, and Spurs shocked them with the early opener, with their defence ball watching, and/or half asleep.
Defoe's goal has to be mentioned.. it was certainly handball, as ITV are keen to point out, but also a marvellous finish, the defender simply stopped, and shouldn't have been outmuscled by Defoe anyway, who seemed more determined to get the ball. Another mistake, another goal, Spurs have kept possession well, and to be fair to them, they don't need any more goals, but they haven't been invincible, and YB started to show at the end of the 1st half, they created a couple of chances, and there were clearly communication problems between Dawson and Gomes.
