that tactic has nothing to do with the guide. You should try Building a tactic exactly as my guide suggests. Like I posted earlier, the tactics I post in the share section work under specific conditions, just like the rest of them there, and have nothing to do with the guide.

that would be perfectly sensible in terms of controlling space. However, they still wouldnt hug the line with control mentality but instead they would cut in and then cross from closer range. Counter mentality would be IMHO perfect for crossing from byline without any instructions.
corners work better when width is greater, so I guess attacking mentality. For both attacking and defending set pieces. But unfortunately, I don't Know a good setup for those and keep em at default.
