Which tweak is more defence consistent?

The tweaks where made in the striker roles.

Defensive consistent? Get CBS with:

Anticipation
Pace
Acellaration
Positioning
Marking
Tackling
Concentration

Pace and Acceleration makes your D-line move up or down, stretching your team in the field, making the mids more exposed if you lower it too much.

If you use high d-line and you get too much balls over the defense, move the center Cb to cover duty.This will make him drop a little and catch those balls.
