Liking Costa Rica. Let's see if they can beat England too. Poor England.
What is good about Gerrard retiring? It was hardly a massive blunder against Uruguay and the whole world knows he's a Top class player
Absolutely not. Gerrard mis-timed a header, like you said a regular occurance. Had he not challenged the ball was going in that direction anyway. A mistake, not a critical mistake.
The main mistake came from Jagielka and Cahill not marking their man, just like 3 of the 4 goals we have conceded this world cup... Why on earth were the defence playing so high and leaving the best striker in the world all alone? Naivety or stupidity.
Hopefully people will stop saying England lost to a good Italian side now and see England for what they really are. Poor!
Costa Rica executed a MUCH MUCH MUCH better tactical gameplan against Italy and they got the result.....
I keep hearing the same old bullshit we can't play high-preesure or anything because we don't have the players? Nonsense....
Costa Rica can do it but the fact is we don't have the ****** manager to do it...
Hodgson has had 2 years or more to implement the style or the gameplan's and he's done atrociously... I'm sorry but it really is a joke. Even funnier thing is he managed in Italy and still doesn't know how to effectively setup a gameplan like Costa Rica did to play against them.
To be fair to Hodgson, he has never been a tactical maestro. He is all about organizing teams and keeping them compact and then drilling it into them until it's second nature. He hasn't even managed that with England which is the disappointing part. No real alternatives to him either
I am sorry mate, I have to disagree. You are essentially saying that if we took Gerrard out of the equation and let the ball continue on it's path uninhibited, it would have still fallen to Suarez who would have scored. That's really not true mate. Gerrard made a massive blunder. The defenders didn't keep a tight leash on Suarez. Mistakes all round and that's what makes it frustrating
Rather have Harry Redknapp.... Roy Hodgson didn't even earn himself to the job... he was absolutely **** at Liverpool.
Paul Schools sums it up perfectly ... Amateurish, Sunday League defending is to blame. Gerrard flicked on a long ball. It's worrying that its that easier to beat our defence
Scholes: "You can't blame Gerrard for Suarez's goal. Defenders didn't sense danger. The back four have been found out."
What a weird game, this. Last 30 minutes Italy look completely disinterested. Almost seemed like the result was staged.
Worst manager in the history of the club, 37% win percentage at West Brom to then England Manager

What do you mean they didn't sense danger? How are they supposed to 'sense' that the midfielder designed to shield them is going to **** up and totally mistime his header right into the danger zone? You are intent on absolving Gerrard of blame which is baffling
What does Scholes mean? Laughable you are even asking that... Just sit back and think about it
Then think why Suarez was in the position he was... Because he sensed a flick on of some sort and the defenders didnt. It is basic defending to drop of from a goal kick to stop these things occuring
Gerrard, Lampard, Wilshere ETC, It doesn't matter. It was a poor header but the blame lies with the poor defence
