TheBetterHalf can you upload cragswfc version with your tweaks? this results looks juts amazing
Actually, I think its better if i did not. If adding even more versions ( read
slight tweaks) to this thread, It will only cause more confusions.
The tweaks I made where the following and they really just gave me the opportunity to use the same game flow as was intended in the downloaded version. One thing you do have to remember is that I am pretty good at man handling, making the opposition manager and players nervous in insecure and making pregame comments in the media and at the press conf and also being good at making sure that our players put in a 90 minutes effort. This results in that when 3-0 up, our team still push forward and the opposition basically stops playing. In the end, this is the difference between winning 7-0 versus 3-2, 3-0 versus 1-2
- I had no deep coming FC ( like Rooney, RVP, Tevez etc) and as the tactic is in its best when one of them drop deep/sit deeper, I had to change his settings so that he actually starts from deep. My player was given a lower mentality and no runs from deep. This player also had the ppms gets inside the area so in the end, he will get there anyway but from deep..
I also made him hold up the ball. This way, I made sure that he was behind the FCright at most times, actually having someone to hit t-balls onto. As his lowered mentality made him one of the most defensive in the team, I also made sure that he did not dribble straight at goal but instead would consider other players to be those to be at the end of the moves.
- The d-line. Well, when playing at home, most teams tend to sit deep and hit t-balls into channels, over the top of my last defender, most of the time down the flanks. If playing with a high d-line. Playing with a high d-line, It would have made me vulnerable to these balls, especially against teams playing a 4411 ( which most teams in Sweden do), letting them be able to gain possession in advanced position. The normal d-line also helped me draw the deep sitting opposition on to me. So here, I saw no reason to tweak the downloaded tactic
When playing away though, most teams pushed up their team and played a shorter passing game. Here, its suited me perfect to push up to, breaking up the attacks earlier and higher up in the field, closing up the gap between my defence and midfield and denying them the space they so longed for. In short, we played more compact and when breaking up these attacks, it saw us outnumbering them again and again, hitting them on the counter, an approach that simply would not have worked at home, playing these cautious teams
If getting into Europe, playing teams that are likely to attacks us at our home ground, will probably use the High d-line setting at home to.
