Maik Taylor and Kevin Phillips both had their contracts terminated after younger replacements had been brought in and they were deemed to be surplus to requirements with Taylor 38 and Phillips 36 don't have a lot of seasons left them and might have to call time on their careers now.

Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd is considering contract offers from Birmingham, Sunderland and Fulham.

Birmingham have also made an offer in the region of £3 million for Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller.

Sebastian Larsson has been placed on the transfer list after a bust-up with new loanee signing David Bentley after being left on the bench for Birmingham's latest friendly and is frustated about losing his place in the first team.

Celtic's Bosnian midfielder Bahrudin Atajic is set to join the Blues in January on a free transfer after his contract expires on the 31st December, the 16-year-old can also play as either an attacking midifielder or as a striker which could come in handy for future seasons to come.

Mark Hughes has brought in future world superstar Marco Verrati, as Verrarti was co-owned Fulham had to pay a fee to both parties. It wasd an abouslete bargain as Fulham payed out £1.3 milllion and is sure to be a big part of Mark Hughes plan for the future.
