October month review - A month almost totally full of victorys and a run of form that puts us towards the top of the leauge

Player of the month - Dejagah seemed to get confused and forgot he was a right midfielder and transformed into a striker with 3 goals in 4 games


Modena 1-1 Ancona

A match we really should have won. Were in total control throughout but nexer got teh second goal to put us out of site

Reggina 1-4 Modena
Ortiz, Daminuta, Djagah 2
Spent most of the match level at 1-1 until Reggina tired and we went all out attack which brought us 3 goals without responce as we quickly return to winning ways

Modena 2-1 Ascoli
Merida, O'Donnell
Yet again we threw away the lead while on top of our opposition and again we were lucky enough to get another goal to get the 3 points

Our best performance all season Ddont think Rimini had a serious effort on goal
 
October ​

Month Review
The month was going almost perfectly after three thrashings followed by an away win. The end to the month brought a big black cross on our season so far as we lost a close encounter with Cagliari after being level twice at home

One of the goalscorers in the cagliari match was Richard O'Donnell as well as getting goals in all but 1 game and two hattricks he was the only one who could be player of the month this time

Today we saw a man make the loudest claim possible that he should be my lead striker

Strolled to another high scoring victory with O'Donnell proving to be amazing yet again

After going 7 games without getting a goal our £8m man Matveev finally got his shooting boots on to get us the win today

Triestina 1-2 Modena

A unusually hard match as we only managed to win by a single goal

Modena 2-3 Cagliari

Top of the table clash with ourselfs and Cagliari already a few points clear going into this match. After coming out 2nd best in this battle, showing our defensive weeknesses
 
November​

A perfect unbeaten month as we recover from a dissapointing result against Cagliari to go top of the table thanks to our awsome form

Dejagah was assisting for fun and scored a few for fun as well

For anyone watching the World cup today we played jsut like chile. Making great chance after chance and just sneaking through with the 3 points

Cremonese were late starters here not getting going till late on in the game by that time they were 2-0 down and the game was gone

After falling behind we fought back and got another 3 points

Month Review - A mixed month where we got a win, draw and defeat in our 3 games as the squad began to tire as the christmas break got closer

Player of the month - Gaston Fernandez was responsible for most of the 4 points we gained this month so he cna be crowne dour final player of the month for the year

Our worst result and performance of the season so far. Made worse by having a 2 goal lead in the early stages

A match that was tightly balanced until Gaston Fernandez came on and got a quick fire hatrick

Our last match before christmas and perhaps the players mind were on there turkey and presents a bit soon as we let this match slip again from a comfortable possition

Modena 1-0 Grosseto

A match where it looked like 2 points had been lost as we couldnt break down the grosseto defeat until the 93rd minute where Aissati struck a long range punt to ensure an importaint 3 points

A shakey defensive display but some classy finishing from our 3 best players got us the win today

Brescia 1-1 Modena
Matveev
Another match were we threw away the win after leading most of the second half

After a few dodgy performances for the past few months the team had there shooting boots on to win easily

Little fight from Triestina as we won with our attacking players complemented by our defensive

Few into a 3 goal lead with Ascoli fighting back to almost wrestle a point from us but we held on

Totally dominated Ancona who culd only steal a last minute concolation

After Reggina fired themselfs into a early lead our star of the season Richard O'Donnell scored twice to give us the 3 points

Month review - A small slip up against Cremonese but our title challange still looks strong as were a point clear of Cagliari

Player of the month - After a slow start to his time at Modena Matveev scored plenty of goals this month as he earned a run in hte first team

Spent 88 minutes chasing Rimini who took a early lead leaving us to struggle away until the 90th minute when our expensive import Matveev

For the second game on the trot we had to fight back to get the result

Added a extra defensive midfielder after the last few games and this time it worked

Modena 0-2 Cremonese
Cremonese hit us on the counter attack twice and we had no way through there defense as we fell to surprising defeat

A huge battle where we eventually came out on top after many worrying momments

Month review - After starting the month in with the leauge in our own hands we dropped 13 points, including 3 to rivals Cagliari as we took a course in how to throw away a leauge

Player of the month - O'Donnell scored goals in 3 games. Non of which we won

This is possibly where we lost the leauge or any chance we had of winning it.

Possibly suffering a bit of a hangover from our devestaiting defeat to cagliari

After a bit of a wobble we seemed to returned to good form

Atalanta 2-0 Modena
So much for improved form

Two games without a goal and in neither game we looked impressive

After leading 3 times its very dissapointing to throw away another 2 points
 
May​

Month review - After throwing away the leauge last month our final 3 games were pointless but we won them all to secure a solid end to the season as we secure 2nd place in the leauge and promotion, and to many players time at the club.

Player of the month - Matveev kept up his recent form to score in his last two games

A Great fightback as we got a instant reply before bombarding Grosseto and getting our reward with 15 minutes to go

Sassuolo 2-3 Modena
Matveev 2, Dejagah
Sassuolo were detemined to capitalise on our poor form. We had other idea's with Matveev scoring a double

The last few games have been pointless with us being secured in second place but with the pressure off we secured a simple win
 
Season 8 2016/2017 Season review​

Serie B
Spent the season at was with Cagliari in what was a very close battle never more than 5 points apart untill our horrific run in April where we dropped so many points lost, 13 to Cagliari and that was us condemed to 2nd place but still promotion non the less

Italian Cup
We never made it to the Italian cup going out in the 3rd qualifying round to Mantova. It was a major dissapoinment but with so many players coming and going at this time loosing here wasnt a major shock

Player of the season

1st - Richard O'Donnell
The runaway winner of the player of the year costing less than half of Matveev but easily outperforming him and the higher raited Felix Ortiz


2nd - Ashkan Dejagah
Was one of the first players to go into the starting 11 after arriving on a free and 15 goals later his selecton was justifyed


3rd - Cristian Daminuta
Our captain was constantly linked with a move to AC Milan and despite the pressure of this and being captain he still put in impressive performances to ensure he'll be keeping his place next season



Season overview - Promotion was the targetand we acieved that. Have to get into Seria A to get money in the bank to build a better team. This is what im now away to do now that were promoted. Would have liked to have continued my trend of winning every leauge i've ever been in but being promoted is more importaint

Seria B - 2nd
Italian Cup - 3rd Qualifying

A totally reformed squad made it to Seria A on there first attempt. Many wont be around to see the promised land but how well did the main signings do for me in our promotion charge

G Fernandez - My old Friend Gaston was only brought in to be back up and when he was needed he delivered enough to make him a success. Probably wont make many appearances in seria A but will probably stick around unless i get a good offer or buy better forwards

I Aissati - Fought so hard to get Aissati on a free and he was very dissapointing. Ha only got a 6.76 in seria B so he's not got any chance of being with me in seria A

K Matveev - Despite getting 16 goals this season i continue to believe i seriously overpayed for Matveev. I will keep him for next season however and hope that he can get double figures in Seria A

R O'Donnell - Was quite shocked at how well my former reserve team player at Southampton did in his season in Seria B as he won my player of the year and the top scorer award

A Dejagah - Was signed on a free before i arrived and turned out to be one of the stars of the season easily hitting double figures

Season 9 - 2017/2018​

A second season in charge brought futher huge changes to try and build a squad to stay in Seria A. Target this time is to survive in the leauge and maybe have a decent run in the cup although i wont be paying much attention to that

Main signings​

Eugene Khacheridi - After Both our Centerbacks left at the end of the season and my first replacment being the old legs of Nelson Rivas i considered Khacheridi the best defender in the shortlist of players i made and he will have to be a star for us this term

Jociel - Came across this young Brazilian while searching through teams and hopfully he can break into the first team by the end of the season

R Matysiak - Was looking to strenghten the middle of the park with a defensivly minded midfielder and came accross this pole. Cost alot more than i intended to pay but as he's only 21 he has time to get better and could be worth alot more

Eden Hazard - This is by far the biggest signing in the clubs history. After bringing him to Southampton for £47M a few years ago he was unhappy and transfer listed at southampton so after my £10.5m bank breaking offer was accepted i had to break the bank further to ensure he'd sign a contract with us. Will be relying heavily on Eden this season

Main Player sales - Didnt really have a strong enough team to have many significant players leave

Digao - Was the only player i intended to keep but became unhappy with new playrs and wanted to go and after considering him as replaceable i let him go

No troubles in beating out former Seria B rivals in the third round

Fiorentina 6-1 Modena

Not quite the start to Seria A life i had in mind as we were taken to school by Fiorentina who stormed into a 4-0 lead inside 20 minutes

Going to take a gamble with the extra transfer money i've just brought in. Captain Daminuta and forward Ortiz were in dispute and wouldnt sign new deals with the club and with there contract expiring at the end of season decided to cash them in and buy Salami and change my formation to 4-1-4-1 to try and combat a leauge we dont appear to be strong enough in

 
Really good story good luck in Serie A. You have inspired me to do something simillar.

Month Review - Almost went through the month unbeaten until we came up against Palermo. The main reason for our good un was the fact we didnt have any top teams to play this month so we ad a fighting chance in every game to get something.​

Player of the month - Matveev has spent the month as our sole striker as we've tryed to tighten our defense after Fiorentina pulled them apart. Matveevs goals this month hs contributed to the majority of the points we've picked up​

A close match where our more stable set up ensured we got a point that could have been 3 with a bit more luck

Modena 2-0 Bari

Had no problems disposing of a Bari side who have been struggling badly at the start of the season

Modena 3-1 Empoli
Matveev 2, O'Donnell
After a slow start where Empoli had the better of the early going we managed to get a hold of the game and with Matveev leading our charge we got another 3 points today

Palermo 2-1 Modena
Matveev
Our first defeat since the opening day thumping from Fiorentina went down fighting this time but again our slow start ment Palermo were away and had won the game before we had ever got going​

October​

October passed by with a selection of acceptable results. The two against Roma and Genoa was a possitive sighn of how good our defense can be. If they can stay on the park

Young Argenine Goalkeeper Joel Rojas came back from international duty to put in a string of good performances too keep out Roma and Atalanta and almost made it 3/3 till Cagliari nipped a late goal. Rojas was away for the the Genoa game

Our Tactic of parking the bus payed off here as Atalanta failed to get a single shot on goal

A very spirited display against the defending champions and leauge leaders. Despite loosing this was our most encouraging performance of the season

After Rivas was sent off half way through the second half we had to set up our defense for the Roma onslaught which couldnt see there way past our makeshift defensive unit

Salami
Held the lead for most of the game until Cagliari got a late equaliser to steal a point
 
November​

Month Review - Taking 5 points from the teams we were up against this month was a terrific take of form to get points off Inter and Juventus

Player of the month - Rojas
Not oftain a player gets back to back awards from me but Rojas was again the star of our defensive stars

An impressive fighting performance to deny Inter the win they were after and deserved thanks to Rojas, possibly inspired by his player of the month award

Juventus 0-0 Modena
Another game another red card and another much appreciated draw against one of Italys better teams

After 6 games without a win we finally got the rub of the green and got the 1-0 win

Napoli 1-0 Modena
Napoli just and only just beat little Modena today brining to the end a great month of results
 
December​

Not a month that will live long in the memory. Two home defeats in the leauge pull us away from our steady top half position that the board have targeted. At least we've progressed in the cup

Two 1-0 defeats in a row, not looking likley to score in either is slightly worrying

A match where we were in total controll but just couldnt get that second goal but progression was achieved despite missing a penalty and getting the tradional player sent off

A boaring first half followed by a all action second half but no goals were on the way

a match we deserved too loose after letting in 3 goals without much reply or fight. As good a time as any for a winter break
 
January​

A month that started with such promise. A Good performance against Milan followed by a dominating display to swipe asid Livorno. Following the Livorno match we our squad got shattered with internation call ups, injurys and suspensions which led to three streight defeats

O'Donnell didnt get his chance to shine as he should have thanks to injurys but during the first two matches he was pivitol in us getting our 4 points

A well earned point against the fallen Giants of Milan who were luck to avoid getting beat today

Good performance eby the team to get the win ecstatic to see a striker score twice

Genoa 1-0 Modena - Italian cup 1st round
A heroic performance by a makeshift team, ravaged by injurys and suspension we managed to hold off the mighty Geno for 91 minutes before Falcao broke or hearts


Lazio 3-0 Modena
After all the problems with players missing for the Genoa match things got worse against Lazio as we lost first choice left back Kamga and Angoua to the African nations eaving us even shorter of players before Salami was carried of injured, later ruled out for a month, Likewise for Matveev soon after and Shevchuk got sent off to make it a pretty awful day for Modena

An amazing result consdering were down to 12 squad players all of which were shattered after fighting back for a draw

Bari 5-1 Modena

Squad remained with 12 players for almost 3 minutes until Khacheridi got sent off and we slowly fell apart and could do nothing to stop Bari tearing us to pieces

New Signing
After getting a irrisistable offer of £15m for Fran Meranda i decided to start building for next season getting 3 players signed up on a pre contract. There was one exception in the shape of Jan Vertonghen for £11m to add a bit more bite to our defense
 
Febuary​

A terrible month with nothing possitive to take from it. The next match against Cagliari is a must win with 4 top team to play after our former Seria B rivals

Modena 1-2 Fiorentina

Got a few players back for todays game but tiredness kicked in towards the end and Fiorentina could push home there talent advantage

Empoli 1-0 Modena
Put in an impressive shift in the first half but offered nothing in hte second half as we suffer our 4 defeat in 5 games

Modena 2-2 Palermo
Jociel, Hazzard
Had to fight back from 2-0 down to get a point here despite being second best through the entire match

Atalanta 1-0 Modena
the squad is starting to get towards full strenght again so theres no excuse for this sort of result
 
March​

At the begining of the month i had targeted 4 points, beating Cagliari and sneaking a point somewhere else so the win against Roma was a big bonus

Player of the month - O'Donnell scored all our goals this month so he's the obvious choice

FINALLY our second leauge win of the season to give us a bit of breathing space before we confront the leauges top sides

Didnt expect to get anything here so onto net one

A great defensive performance where we did the traditional parking of the bus and hit roma on the counter attack

Inter 0-0 Modena
A close match where the bus was parked but the bus was also unlucky not to score the winner during a late charge

Modena 0-2 Juventus
Juventus with there star striker Horvath had this match won very early on ending our decent run of form through the month
