September
September Month review - A month where we started with all guns blazing and the team hitting top form. However towards the end of the month we started to look a bit less sturdy and despite beating Arsenal deservidly too. Perhaps changing so many players at the same time may have contributed to this and that wont be a problem next month with so many big games where there wont be a opertunity to rest players

Player of the month - Gourcuff wins the award for our player of the month after a hattrick against Koln along with good performances in all the other games means he's a deserved winner this month

Wolves 0-4 Southampton
Camacho 2, Hazard, Aguero
A simple win with the forwards being involved in every goal and hopfully hitting some early season form

Southampton 6-0 Koln - Champions Leauge match day 1
Gourcuff 3, Fletcher, Milenkovic, Dzeko
Perhaps our most dominant performance in my time in charge. THe first half was constant bombardment on our behalf with Gourcuff especially on top form

Southampton 2-1 Ipswich
Aguero 2
Took a double from our £89m man Aguero to get the points from Ipswich

Southampton 2-1 Everton - Leauge cup 3rd round
Marchisio, Hilbert
A back up team managed to see off premiership opposition as we progress in our attempts to win our first Leauge cup

Southampton 2-1 Arsenal
Aguero, Dzeko
After falling behind to a early goal we fought back well and got the 3 points we deserved

Twente 2-1 Southampton - Champions Leauge match day 2
Dzeko
Decided to rest our key players with a very tricky run of games coming up and may have cost us tonight but hopfully in the long run this result wont be to bad

October

October month review - I'd say a perfect month. A draw with Sevilla has put us in a very akward position for qualifying but domestic compition is our prime target and were looking pretty good here.

Player of the month - Roger Camacho scored 4 goals in 4 games and won the Premierships player of the month to match my manager of the month award

Chelsea 1-4 Southampton
Camacho, Dzeko, Milenkovic
A desctruction of our rivals chelsea makes a major statement to the rest of the premier Leauge that this season Southampton mean Buisness

Aston Villa 1-3 Southampton
Camacho, Baines, Dzeko
Was being held to a 1-1 draw for most of the second half before our subs took it upon themself to save us and getthe 3 points at the start of a very tricky run of games

Southampton 1-1 Sevilla - Champions leauge match day 3
Gourcuff
With Man Utd at the weekend we rested some of our first teamers and in the end we had to rely on a 89th minute goal o grab a lucky point

Southampton 2-0 Man Utd
Aguero, Marchisio
Back to normal with a impressive second half display to turn over Debtchester United

Southampton 3-2 Chelsea - Leauge cup 4th round
Aguero, Marchisio, Camacho
Despite spending the majority of the game behind out tired players summoned the energy in the last 15 minutes to secure our passage to the next round

Everton 0-1 Southampton
Camacho
Another major Hurdle overcame without any problems untill everton started trying in the last 2 minutes

November

Month review - The leauge went perfectly as we went on a perfect run and liverpool consitanty dropped points to fall 9 points off southampton at the top. In Europe however it didnt go quite so well with a draw against Seville left us in an akward position but after Twente drew with sevile thats given us a chance to earn a place in the last 16

Player of the month - Milenkovic played alot more than usual this month with several first teamers earning a rest and justifyed that by getting 2 goals and two MOTM awards

View attachment 74340

Sevilla 1-1 Southampton - Champions leauge match day 4
Rodwell
A draw was probably a fair result but it could be fatal to our hopes of a second champions leauge. We have to hope resuls go our way and win our last two games

Southampton 3-1 Newcastle
Aguero, Camacho, Dzeko
A second half rally made sure of the 3 points after being 1-0 down at halftime and playing poorly

Southampton 4-2 Stoke
Camacho, Aguero 2, Milenkovic
Romped away to a 4-0 lead in the first half a hour then brought on some youngsters and back up players to give them a run out

Southampton 3-0 Leicester
Dzeko 3
Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko ran the show with his fellow back-up players as he continues to steak a claim for the world player of the year

Koln 2-4 Southampton - Champions Leauge match day 5
Reed, Aguero 3
Looked like we'd thrown away another champions leauge match by playing too weak a squad as we went 2-0 down early on and things just got worse when Dzeko went off injured. It turned out to be a blessing however as his replacment Serge Aguero hit the back of the net 3 times to give us a vital 3 points. After Sevilla's win at FC Twente we have to beat Twente to take to qualify from the group. Anything less wont be enough with Sevilla practically having 3 points in the bag against Koln

Nottm Forrest 1-5 Southampton
Reed 3, Aguero, Milenkovic
One of the easyest wins we've ever had. Played tired back up players too

December

Month Review - Winning through in the Champions leauge was a tricky affair but we pulled that off, Leauge was going totally to plan untill we played Liverpool, which was hopfully just a blip. Winning the World clubs championship was a further tick on my CV

Player of the month - Aguero scored vital goals in every compition this month and despite Dzeko getting into the world team of the year Aguero was the star this month

Southampton 3-0 West Ham
Hazard, Aguero, Reed
Put out a strong team to warm them up for the Twentee game and we had no problems getting another win

Southampton 3-2 Twente - Champions leauge match day 6
Marchisio, Aguero, Camacho
Dont do things easy when it comes to the champions leauge this season. Were 2-0 up and cruising when we gave away a penaltyand let Twente back in. The rest of the match was edgy but we just did enough to qualify

Birminham 0-2 Southampton
Aguero 2
Had a bit of a european hangover but still had enough to get the win against Birmingham to continue with our win of 15 wins

World Club Championship 2015
By winning the 2014/15 Champions leauge we've earned the right to play in the world club championship.
Our attempts at winning the title in Ghana begin today against the home team and African champions Kotoko

Kotoko 0-6 Southampton - World club championship semi final
Camacho 2, Aguero 2, Dzeko, Hilbert
Accidently submitted the same team that played birmingham so they had little problem disposing of the local team and setting up a final with Sao Paulo

World Club Championship - Final
Southampton 2-0 Sao Paulo
Aguero, Dzeko
A Very close match which wasnt decided till the last 10 minutes despite dominating the whole match Sao Paulo held us off till the last 10 minutes so we could add the World Championship to our european championship

Aguero topped off our tournament by winning the best player and top scorer award

Aston Villa 1-4 Southampton - Leauge cup Quarter finals
Aguero 2, Camacho, Gourcuff
Despite just taking on the worlds best in Ghana 4 days earlyer we came back and strolled past Villa to make it to the leauge cup semifinals

Southampton 0-1 Liverpool
A big dissapointment after an amazing run we tripped up at home to the champions. This result has dropped us to second in the table but we have 3 games in hand

Great start to the season, and you really have built a fantastic squad. Camacho looks class. Are you thinking of leaving for another country any time soon, or are you too attatched to Southampton?

Plan is still to win everything i can with Southampton then move on. All there is left to win is Premiership and Leauge cup, both or which were in very good positions to win this season so next season will probably bring a new challange elsewhere

January 2016

Month review - A very good month with the only dissapointing moment being a draw with Stoke. Still in a very strong position in the leauge as well as getting to our first Leauge cup final where we will play spurs.

Player of the month - Edin Dzeko made several appearances this month where he played a key role in keeping us in the fight.goals against ipswich and wolves and important assitsts in the cup against Man City and Pompy

New signing. Added further back up to our wingers as Diego Buonanotte joined up for £7m. Felt that on the wings was the only positon where we didnt have great depth however we do now

Southampton 5-1 Tottenham - Fa Cup 3rd round
Dzeko, Hilbert, Reed
Played the back up players as this was the tournament that im left in that mean least to me but got an great result to get to the 4th round

Man City 1-2 Southampton - Leauge cup semi finals
Camacho 2
A brilliant result thanks to our leading striker leaves us with a huge advantage when the second leg comes round

Southampton 4-0 Leeds
Camacho 2, Pastore, O'G,
A simple win where everyone did there job as we walked past them with Camacho especially on irrisistable form

Fulham 1-5 Southampton
Camacho 2, Pastore, Hazard, Aguero
Fulham are on a terrible run and we showed no mercy to continue our awsome run

Stoke 0-0 Southampton
Stoke successfully parked the bus and kept us out. Decided to play a full strenght team despite having the second leg of the leauge cup in 3 days and may live to regret it

Southampton 3-1 Man City - Leauge cup semi finals - 2nd leg
Aguero 3
Man City did put up much of a fight and we have a chance to win the leauge cup when we play tottenham in the final
AGG 5-2

Southampton 1-1 Portsmouh - FA Cup 4th round
Welliton
A poor performance by our back up players against our biggest rivals but a late goal from welliton gives us the chance with a replay

Ipswich 1-3 Southampton
Dzeko 2, Pastore
Ipswich battled hard but our rested stars had enough in them to get the 3 points today

Southampton 4-3 Wolves
Dzeko 2, Marchisio, Aguero
Our defense had a major offday. We were luck Dzeko and Aguero decied to play well

February

Month review - A totally mixed bag of results this month. Brilliant results against Chelsea and Aston Villa are cancelled out by poor performances by the defence against arsenal and the
attack against Man City

Player of the month - Gourcuff was scoring and assisting this month in the teams good performances and the bad

Portsmouth 2-2 Southampton - Fa Cup 4th Round replay
Dzeko, Welliton
pens 5-4 Portsmouh
Worst nightmare as we couldnt beat portsmouth after 2 matches and extra time then we lost on penaltys. So were still not strong enough to win every compition in a single season

Southampton 5-0 Aston Villa
Dzeko 2, O'G, Zapata, Rodwell
A brilliant reaction to our portsmouth embarrassment. Good start to a really difficult month

Arsenal 4-2 Southampton
Hazard, Gourcuff
The defense was very poor today, especially in the first half where we fell 3-0 behind and the game was lost. This would be a terrible time to hit poor form

Southampton 2-1 Inter - Champions leauge last 16
Camacho 2
Not a great result but considering we were down to 9 men with Evans sent off just before half time and Rivas came of injured minutes after coming on as our last sub

Southampton 2-1 Chelsea
Gourcuff, Hazard
A match that was going perfectly to plan till the 90th minute when Aiden McGeady scored what appeared to a late equaliser. Not realising Eden Hazard had an even later impact still to make on the game and title race

Southampton 0-1 Man City
Match was lost here by another late goal this time Simon Kjear headed the 3 points to Man City. Not a surprise were loosing all these late goals with how tired the squad will be getting

March

Month review - A very good month. Progression in the champions leauge after a great second leg performance to knock out inter. Quarter finals looks quite safe after our 4-1 win against liverpool. Leauge is still looking very good, alot has to do with out form. Only dropped 1 point and that was a 2-2 away draw to Man Utd so we'll let them off with that.

Player of the month - Camacho put a major dent in Man Utds Championship challange by scoring the two goals to earn us a draw. He also single handedly got us past liverpool.

Inter 2-3 Southampton - Champions leauge last 16 second leg
Hazard, Camacho, Gourcuff
A close encounter where we finally got the better of the Italians in the last 16 for the second year in a row
agg 3-5

Southampton 4-0 Everton
Aguero, Gourcuff, Camacho
A walkover from the first kick to the last, Not much else to report here.

Man Utd 2-2 Southampton
Camacho 2
Top of the table clash where we relyed on Camacho to pull us level on two occasions to secure our position at the top of the table

Newcastle 0-5 Southampton
Reed 3, Welliton, Rodwell
Newcastle suffered fro the lack of a defense as our back up team scored goals for fun

Blackburn 3-2 Southampton
Gourcuff, Camacho
A match we deserved nothing from. Came back from 2-0 down and looked to have secured at least a point till we revived a old traditon and let in a last minute equaliser. Only saving grace was that it was one of our two games in hand

Leicester 1-2 Southampton
Milenkovic, Welliton
A match that was pretty uneventful untill we got a penalty with 10 minutes to go which we converted. We continued to make chances till we scored a second deep into stoppage time to secure the 3 points right before leicester got a concolation

Southampton 4-1 Liverpool - Champions Leauge Q finals
Camacho 3, Aguero
Match was even from the start but in the second half we ran away with it and liverpool, even with Torres had nothing to offer in return

April

Month Review - Dont get much better months than this. Won the leauge after chelsea lost and that compleated our list of domestic trophys to match our hitlist of European titles. Also have 1 more trophy to challange for. The champions leauge final against Real Madrid. Dones get bigger than that.

Player of the month - Gourcuff scored a few goals but non more importaint than the stoppage time winner against Genoa which was enough to give him the award.

Southampton 6-1 Birmingham
Aguero 3, Hazard, Camacho 2
Another convincing leauge thrashing. It will be a crime if we dont take the title after a run of performances like this

Liverpool 1-0 Southampton - Champions Leauge quarter final 2nd leg
Rested a few players after getting a 3 goal lead from the first leg and it proved enough to get through
AGG 4-2 Southampton

Southampton 2-0 Nottm Forest
Dzeko, Fletcher
With harder battles ahead the back up players got another run out with another success. Also the return of Eden Dzeko to bolster our championship leauge challange

Southampton 7-0 Tottenham
Marchisio 3, Welliton 2, Gourcuff, Hazard
This has got too easy! A walkover with the highlight of the performance being suthampton going over 100 goals for the season with 4 games left. Take that Barca. One bit of bad news Roger Camacho has been ruled out for the champions leauge semifinals. Will have to suffer with Dzeko up front

West Ham 4-4 Southampton
O'G, Hazard, Welliton, Reed
Southampton dont do boaring. largley back up players again and they Went behind 4 times and importaintly came back 4 times to secure a vital point in the title race. Thanks to our goal difference the leauge is now practically won

Southampton 0-1 Genoa - Champions leauge semi finals
Our goalscoring abandond us today of all days. A match where we were second best throughout and Genoa were worth there win

Tottenham 3-1 Southampton
Reed
Didnt take our chance to win the leauge today after i decided to rest the entire starting 11 and some of the key subs to ensure were as fresh as possible for the big semi final

CHAMPIONS
Thanks to a chelsea slip up we picked up the leauge title to compleate the domestic haul of trophys

Genoa 2-3 Southampton - Champions leauge semi final 2nd leg
Aguero 2, Gourcuff
Were returning to the final again to play Real Madrid. Made a good start by canceling out the away goal after only 9 minutes but Genoa came back to lead 2-1 and it wasnt till a late fightback that we managed to get the winning goal deep into stopage time
Agg 3-3 - Southampton on away goals

Well done mate. Top class. Where are you heading off to next?

Southampton 4-0 Fulham
Gourcuff, Fletcher, Hazard, Dzeko
No troubles in securing another convincing home win. Might be our last in the leauge as a back up team will be playing against Man City with the champions leauge match in a week

Man City 2-2 Southampton
Reed, Buonanotte
Final leauge match of the season and a performance to be proud of from our back up team in what will be my last leauge game with southampton. Will hopfully have 1 last trip to St Marys to display the returning champions leauge trophy

Rounded of a near perfect leauge season with a very strong performance from the teams back up players. From the very early stages of the season we were a step ahead of the rest. The only time we were behind was when we played 3 or 4 games less than the teams around us but over the season we always had the leauge under controll. A major part of this was the increased quality of the reserve players we have. i feel that over the next two season the squad in my hands would push on to have success similar to real madrid in the 50's but the challange is now to go to another team and start all over again

Manager of the year 2016
After winning i recieved my personal award of manager of the year. Would have been more deserved when we finihsed 2nd as that team was nowhere near as good as this one and was much more and achievement

Premiership team of the year 2015/2016
With so many geat players and a leauge win its no surprise we took up a few places in the team of the year

Player of the year 2016
And out of the team of the year Roger Camacho was our star player through the season and is deservidly the player of the year. Nice one kid

2016 Champions leauge final

Real Madrid v Southampton

With speculation reaching feever pitch that Darran Donald has handed his resignation on the eve of the Champions Leauge Final effective from the lifting of the trophy.
It doesnt matter how true this speculation turns out to be Donald and his southampton Squad are totally focused on securing consecutive titles this time in spain, effectivly giving Real the home advantage. Donald can call up from a almost full selection of players including hist best first 11 all of whom are fit and ready for the big match

Real Madrid 2-4 Southampton
Pastore, Gourcuff, Aguero, Camacho

A close first half where the two giants shared a goal each in a half where there was nothing to split them. The turning point was the final team talk of Darran Donalds time at Southampton which appeared to fire them through the roof as they struck 3 goals in 15 minutes to put the final beyond Real. Immediatly after the 4th goal real players lost there heads as Ramos and Alonso were both sent off leaving Higuains goal as a mere concolation in there defeat

Following this lates success i've been inducted to the English hall of fame. Currently sit in 5th place. I may return one day to try and make my way to No 1 and take over from my hero Sir Alex

Sergio Aguero won our player of the year in Europe but i'd have certainly given my vote to Gourcuff who was our real star in the champions leauge this term

Despite winning the trophy we only got 3 players into the dream team

Donald leaves southampton!!!

Maybe not the most surprising announcment of the footballing year but a major one non the less. Having won everything before him and taking southampton from the third tier of English football to being European champions in 6 seasons is an amazing feat that will probably never be seen again.

In a short statment Darran claimed to be leaving Southampton on very good terms as both parties wished each other well in there future endevours. Where these future endevours will elad them there will be no shortage of applicant for both Donalds services or Southampton manager. When asked about his next job Donald declaired he wanted to build another footballing dynasty like he's done with southampton but has left the door open to Spanish and Italian clubs ruling out coming up against southampton in direct compition anytime soon

2012/2013 - Europa Leauge, European Super Cup
2013/2014 - Nothing
20/142015 - Champions Leauge, European Super Cup, World Club Cup
2015/2016 - Champions Leauge, Premiership, Leauge Cup

Goodbye Southampton

New club will be selected tommorow. Might even do a poll if its not much hassell

A new home has been found

Having just failed to get promotion to Serie A Modena was just the team for Donald to create his legacy in Italian football.
Following talks with chairman Alberto Braglia Donald was quick to sign up to the challange of making as big a success of Modena as he did with Southampton

Good luck, hopefully you can do just as as southampton

Season 8 - 2016/2017 First season at Modena
The board have declared they want promotion so after inspecting the squad i thought we needed to make wholesale changes to do this. Only 7 players remain from last season as the squad was far too big and lacking quality so i let go of everyone who was out of contract and sold most of the players i had, keeping the few players i was happy with.

Targets
Serie B - Promotion
Italian Cup - Get through the qualifyers

Main signings
M Rimmer + Alex Alves - Two players brought in on loan from my old team Southampton as i was struggling to fill out the squad and these two should have the quality to get through this leauge

G Fernandez - A former Southampton hero was available on a free and i couldnt resist buying my former star striker as back up

I Aissati - A quality player who was also available on a free who usually plays on the wings but i will have him in the middle of the park

K Matveev - Spent alot of time looking for a star striker and after getting alot of rejections i ended up totally overpaying for Matveev. Hopfully he will do enough to get us up and then i'll get a good resale value in the summer. Unless he does really well

All other transfers

August month review
A perfect start in the leauge but a poor start in the cup, which isnt a concern for me this season. Were short of players for the two cup games and we struggled in both matches eventually going out in the 3rd qualifying round. The leauge has seen our better side. More settled performances and a few goals. 2/2 isnt bad considering i usually start slow in my first seasons

Player of the month - Richie O'Donnell
Two sub appearances and two goals and two awsome performances. Might fight his way into the starting 11 if he does well.

Modena 1-1 Pro Patria - Italian cup 2nd qualifying round
Fernandez
Penaltys 4-2 Modena
A close tie which we should have won but the team is far from compleate so any result is aa good one

Mantova 1-0 Modena - Italian cup 3rd qualifying round
a poor performance but its almost a brand new team so teething problems are expected

Modena 3-1 Brescia
Rimmer, Dejagah, O'Donnell
A great start to the season with all the scorers being new signings

Siena 1-3 Modena
Shevchuk, O'Donnell, Daminuta
hopfully the early signs are good and we can continue our early form
