I just get the feeling he wasn't happy about Wilkins leaving, and like the Mourinho departure, there was nothing he could do about it, it was above him and he had no say. Doesn't strike me as the sort of person who likes to have no say.

I obviously hope it dosen't happen but if Wilkins was told to leave without his say so then i would not hold it against him at all.
 
Apparently, the Chelsea board have rejected his resignation.
 
New information that Carlo Ancelotti's resignation offer was rejected by the #Chelsea board.
