Anyone else think James Corden's not funny?

James Cordon isn't a comedian, he is an actor, everything he has ever performed has been scripted.

Actor/Writer.

So also writes a fair bit of the script he reads (G&S Anyway).

What are you talking about ?
Gavin and Stacey is quality

Really liked Gavin and Stacey, apart from the ending (infact Season 3 was a bit of a let down on the whole, maybe shouldn't have forced it).

The Christmas episode was brilliant.

Then he flopped with Horne and Cordon....I think he needs Ruth Jones alongside him to write as that seemed to work.

I liked the sketch he did with the England team (the first one) where he was giving a team talk, but wasn't keen on the second.

I've watched some of that World Cup live and its meh....but good choice with Clancy

Also he's everywhere at the moment, which is annoying.

Patrick Stewart was right in what he said (the hands in pockets thing), but shouldn't have said it the way he did (Belly part).

He's OK. Many, many people funnier but enjoyed G&S.

My thoughts exactly, couldn't have put it better imo

Have you never seen Lee Evans???

James Corden is not funny, neither was Gavin & Stacey apart from Rob Brydon.

Please dont tell me you find Evans Funny, all he does is run around like a kid

On Topic: Corden is hilarious on A League of Their Own.

gotta ask the question, if this is about him not being funny, why did you open with massive insulting rant about him? considering you're someone who appreciates class intellect and wit

To break the reader into the topic, With an introduction 8-|

That's what makes Lee Evans even funnier, he's a visual comic.

James Corden reads from a script most of the time but i did enjoy his England team talk.

Firstly he is the flavour of the moment, he is a good actor and a good writer but he is not a stand up comedian. At times he is an attention seeker and at times he makes you laugh. I love him in Gavin and Stacy but in A League of their Own his is disappointing and annoying at times, in my opinion as a presenter he just reminds me of a few of my jolly fat friends not being rude but you prob know what i mean kinda larger then life personalities he is nothing special i dont dislike or hate him but i do see why people do as he is getting more spotlight then he deserves

Don't get me started on Lee Evans... ;_;

Sounds like we might have the same taste in comedy, or at least some common dislikes. I can't stand 'comedians' whose material is light, immature and only funny (to the audience) because it's coming from that specific comedian.

Yes Corden can occasionally have a vaguely decent joke, but one speck of gold in a pile of **** isn't anything worthwhile.

give me Michael McIntyre anytime

Another terrible comedian.

why?

A League of There Own is not funny, he is just quoting off scripted quips. I though G & S was/is terrible.

I find his popularity very annoying, he is not original/funny in the slightest.

is jc funny?

i don't really like the guy as he's on everything right now from the world cup to doctor who.
in saying that he does have his moments and yes the team talk and s.p.o.y. speach was very funny.just think in todays tv world they find a guy or girl that is good and ram it at you full on.
.COME ON ENGLAND

Terrible stage presence (wobbles his head and does stupid/inaccurate voices with his arms in weird positions), unfunny material, follows a very obvious path through most jokes, yet his audience still find each line hilarious and a very irritating personality

[Micheael McIntyre]

Another terrible comedian.

No, he really isn't. McIntyre is hilarious in stand-up, i saw him at the Edinborough Festival, i was SO lucky, he literally had about 3 gigs in a loft in the 'Pleasance Theatre' and no one knew him, i couldn't stop laughing, and neither could pretty much anyone in the audience.
James cordon > Lee Evans

Like them both, different, but Lee Evans > JC, by a way

He seems to get his 'humour' from being constantly loud, over-hyper, exposing body parts...And uses hiis body weight as his humour. He's somewhat ruined Doctor Who
